Try the Ballantine's 12 y.o. Its the best blended whisky for me near the Black Label price. And by entering the world of scotch, you're entering a whole new universe. You mentioned Glenlivet...you should try that quick, its a really good quality brand.
Does your spirits taste different after awhile? Like if you drink some Jonnie Walker and a month later you try some again... does it taste different to you? Can booze get old/undrinkable?
@thewhale101 you should be fine with liquors, they could stay in your cabinet for years especially if they are premium brands.
on the other hand...liqueurs or anything higher in sugar/flavouring or has a syrup or cream consistency should be drunk before 6 months and they are normally kept in the fridge... they like cold dark dry places so do not expose them to heat. and it's always better to buy premium

for your shooters video you should try a drink created in a bar near me(barretro Northern Ireland) called a midget gem, as far as i know its equal measures of passoa, midori and peach schnapps(perhaps slightly less of this). tastes pretty good
I also made my own take on it as I'm not a big fan of peach schnapps. i replaced the schnapps with malibu coconut rum, but added slightly less of the malibu. i call it the cast away :)

In Whetherspoons (a big bar chain) in england they do the godfather, but its jack daniels, amaretto and coke or pepsi, the coke or pepsi makes it a little milder so it doesnt have that burn.

I just came from my AA meeting and i have a court-ordered DUI class later this afternoon but IM SKIPPING IT BRO! I DRINK EVERY FUCKING DAY MAN! And this godfather is fucking bomb tasting. I have to buy some cherries and IM SET. EVERYDAY DRINKER FOR LIFE MOTHERFUCKERS. YEEAHHH!!

Dewar's is a pretty good scotch. I drink it straight and it's always what I use if I make a Godfather for someone.
