  • Yeah, the Krebs cycle is a PART of metabolism, but where almost all the ATP comes from is actually the Electron Transport Chain. just like to point that out.

  • i took the test which showed that i am a variable type, but the problem is that i'm a vegetarian. is there anyway to get around this problem and get the same amount of protein from other foods that i would also get from meat consumption. if so please do let me know, thanks.

  • I took the test and it says I need more meat, but can't afford it. is there any foods I can take to increase the enzymes needed for plant digestion? or do I need to start hunting for small game? or big game? I heard about wheatgrass and am taking that juice daily, they say it has enzymes, I guess another question is is this an alternative modality to increase my ability to digest plant based food better?

  • interesting, but why are we as humans unique to eachother while every other animal of its race thrives best on a similar diet? All lion eats meat for instace.

    Arent we all animals? sure some people turn their pets in to vegetarians and they may survive, but dogs thrive on meat right?

    Yes thats true.. BUT no other animals farm and manipulate there food sources like we have. this has caused all kinds of changes in our biology aswell as counteless diseases.. Were all unique.. with different needs etc.. but in general everyone should eat quality, organic, food. Plus I would bet, different "races" evolved in different areas of the world where different food sources were more abbundant and thus their bodies learned to assimilate those nutrients better a dif, race

  • diet of air is always nice and why not? body uses 6x's more energy that the 3x's it digests. Where do we get the rest of that energy? From our being itself, which goes more into nonphysical or energy from the soul/spirit. but dont take my word for it, research it yourself.

  • You know what, since none of the truth can be found on what everyone should eat and no one can agree on a diet that is healthy for everyone, one day I'm going to have to experience it myself.

    The correct diet can only be one of 3 diets and i don't know which one yet, but it has to be one of these three:

    1.each individuals diet depends on his metabolism and body rhythm

    2. A diet rich in organic meats and plants

    3. Any food as long as it is eaten in moderation(balanced diet)

  • Tommorow I am going to start trying one diet, and the next day see how I feel, through my poop and body rhythm, then start another diet the next day, see how I feel the day after that.

    Then go to the third one and see how I feel after that.

    One of these diets has to be the truth and I must find it. I will try the processed food diet in moderation and see if it does anything to my body the next day.

  • Think- Calories in vs calories out. Watch how much b4 bed (when sitting around doing nothing & then going 2 bed - not expending many calories). Think Protein & Non-Starchy Vegetables (no potatoes) & healthy Fats. (peanut butter is good - watch it before bed - i cut it out - was easily consuming too many calories. I just eat 4 eggs w/ only 2 yolk before bed. about 200 calories.) Breakfast about 600 calories. 6 hours later - Lunch about 600 calories. then right before bed.

    you should read gary taubes's good calorie bad calorie. he'll show you that it's not just about calorie in calorie out and that what you eat is more important.

    also, if you read more of paul chek's stuff you'll know that eating a lot before bed isnt always bad--do you eat dinner? you didnt list it in ur post. if youre only eating 600 for breakfast and 600 for lunch and a 200 dinner, then youre only getting 1400 cal which isnt enough.

    also why are yo throwing out the yokes?

  • Listened to allhis CD's, every word he says makes sense. I must admit using whey protein suppliments certainly made my recover times to build far shorter but I still believe what he says about that type of protein not being the best kind. Being on the gear will help to but it doesn't mean it's healthy. Rather be healthy than big and dead.

    A huge kudos to you Paul, your work is being very appreciated here in Australia.

  • Foods for my ethnic and racial needs? I didnt think of that? Can that really make a difference in a person's health. I eat foods from all over the world all the time. I don't really have a race I'm mixed with everything "I'm canadian". Really, I don't just have one race I'm totally mixed. What do I eat?

  • Yes believe it or not. People have different roots to various parts of the world. If your ancestors come from a tropical area where fruit is abundant year round, genetically your body may be more dependent on the nutrients provided by certain fruits than say, somebody of Navajo Indian descent because their ancestors experienced winters. The same is true of medical conditions where certain ethnic groups are at a higher risk of developing health problems such as high blood pressure.

  • that is basically a guide line for metabolic typing - it makes it simpler for people who have a distinct background. for example, it wouldn't make sense for an inuit to eat like a majority of carbohydrates in their diets like fruits and grains when none exist in the arctic. does that make sense to you? so one must eat for their bio-chemical individuality - each person has different macro-nutrient (protein/fats/carbs) ratios for their bodies and using ethnicity makes it easier to determine

  • rocksoliddnb, the book is on his website if you take the time to look at it, or the title is : How to eat , move and be healthy by Paul Chek. Nice piece!! Metabolic typing help me to understand why I was weak and unhealthy as a vegetarian. We have to follow what nature make us for but with more respect.

  • Yea? That's how a lot of people feel about medical doctors today. He's trying to provide a more natural and holistic point of view so people can open their eyes and find natural cures for problems they have. You think prescribed medication is natural?

  • Paul, thank you for sharing the concepts of digestion that are so important for us to know. It makes you think twice before you decide to "grab" a pizza for dinner on a Friday night. What is more amazing is that kids could improve so drastically if they only adopted some of the pricipals of metabolic typing that you prescribe. Maybe the government should beging to intervene into the schools to force the kids to eat more appropriately for their types instead of bailing out greedy idiots.

  • I've read the book, and this guy is for real. He is a recognized expert on this subject, I can't believe I'm the first to comment.I'm looking forward to more video's. If you can make them as informative and entertaining as your book, you will soon have a huge following.
