A better comparison would be the honda civic to the 08 lancer. In my opinion the lancer looks way better, and is the better "bang for the buck", and thats why I bought one. Anyhow the better argument would be an s2000 vs the 2008 evo in terms of price range and performance. I would go evo hands down.

not all intakes are cold air. some of the short ram intakes work better with different tempatures of air.

It's not a cold air intake. Its a short ram intake, and they really don't add to much HP.
