  • Strange watching this a year later especially now the iPad and iPod have multi-tasking, and the iPad sold 14 million devices... so I guess a lot of people like a giant iPod touch - your comment 'Apple didn't deliver anything' at the end is, well, odd.

  • @Zoolookuk

You get that I don't want an ipad. Did I say it wouldn't sell. No. Was that my argument. No you are wrong.

  • @zoulkyud I didn't accuse you of saying it wouldn't sell - what exactly am I wrong about?

  • F'n YT ... never saw this in my sub box.

I don't even say anything about my Droid anymore. Every time I explain the things I like better with it over the iPhone, I get shot down.

But I don't give a shit, I know how important REAL multitasking is on a Phone is to me. And I hate when people ask me why I use IM also. Well it's so I don't have to get unlimited Text MSG from the cell phone provider. There are so many people who do this with their phones, it's like they're on the moon.

  • nice stereo

  • I almost fell off my chair when I heard there was no multitasking. To me thats like saying there's no screen.

  • Here's a fun fact: Apple does NOT own the iPad trademark as of now. Fujitsu claims it at this moment. Expect a lawsuit if Apple sticks to their "iPad" name.

You're right, it should of been called "iTablet".

  • I think, like all apple harware, it won't be worth buying until you they relesae the second, or third version with the bits in they could've put in at the start.

  • ROFL!!! so true! my Toyota may have 210,000 miles but its still running! XD

  • When ipad is available, some other company will pick it up and create "droid" that is actually good

  • Zoul you do know you can get push notifications so if youre not in AIM you still get you messages even if you have the ipod in sleep mode a screen will pop up with your message. What they need to do is only allow certain apps to run in the background like music streaming services.

  • @ibpointless2

its not the same. It interrupts you. Where on the droid it just shows you the message without you having to do anything and you can reply when you want, then go back to what you were doing.

  • +! great video, agree completely.

  • There's nothing wrong with having a giant iPod Touch since the iPod Touch is awesome in the first place.

Also, Android is being put on netbooks and shit but I don't see anyone complaining about having a giant Android phone.

Last but not least, the AIM application made by AOL can run backgrounded. The Mail application runs backgrounded and even the Phone app on the iPhone can background itself in a call. Can the Droid even do that?

  • @Leodime

It can, I've made calls with my G1 while browsing the web before :)

  • @Leodimell

The reason the iPhone can run a call in the background and stil use data is because of AT&T. The droid can do it too, it leaves the call in the notification tray, but of course you can't use data because of the network.

  • @LeodimeII

I dont like push notifications, I like it actually running in the background. Not interrupting me.

  • bundled apple apps multitask, but there are 3rd party app limitations and a different model for background services as in push.

  • Just curious what do you think is so useless about the Air?

  • If this thing could run OS X on it it would sell like hotcakes. Unfortunately an OS designed for a phone isn't that good when it's not portable.

  • im disapointed of the iPad s not even a FUCKING TABLET

  • "It's great if you want a giant ipod touch", the problem with that is that ppl expected something that was closer to a proper computer i think & that's what Jobs marketed it as in his keynote as being more capable than a netbook which is BS.

  • @codebean

I agree all the magic and amazing stuff is bs.

  • did you think about the potential of the ibooks and the bigger screen? companies will probably end up creating apps for themselves and college books could be put on ibooks and things to reduce cost...

  • i am not defending the salesmanship as in magic. and yes the air does suck.
