  • the computer that you are acessing, do they have to be turned on?

  • @jazeeloveyou Yes they do.

  • Good idea if your worried about security while gone from home--access the webcam from across the country and see if anything is happening! Or maybe distrustful parents to spy on their child.

  • cost too much !!!!!100$

  • Keep Hitting 8

  • You can download Teamviewer too, It's free in the app store and you can do exactly the same!

  • @UTube4588 I agree. Teamviewer is a great choice.

  • @AsktheTechies Yeah! and it's for free! if you use it private!

  • you use windows 7 (0:53)

  • Also you could touch the icons or programs with the transformer, unlike this, looks really bad.

  • Just get the Asus Transformer it does this faster and it's free.

  • @oasisbeyond I agree. The transformer is a nice mix of tablet and laptop.

  • Can you use it while the PC is turned off?

  • can you use it on linux? (ubuntu 11.04 natty narwhal)

  • What case are u using

  • did he just call OSX or snow leopard? (0:14)

  • team viewer does the same thing log me in does and its freeeeeee

  • you are not run mac you control the ipad to mac ican do it with team viewer

  • ... Who doesn't know logmein. What if your computer is turned off, and what if you don't have 3G, and what if it's too expansive.

    Step 1: Jailbreak your iPad

Step 2: Download the jaibroken file called Transmitter

    Step 3: Go to wwwdotthepiratebaydotorg

Step 4: Search Widnows 7 starter.ipa (currently there is no mac)

Step 5: Start the installation of windows 7 (takes 1:30)

Step 6: After the installation is finished restart your iPad

WARINING- Will remove your iOS and replaces it with windows

  • @kirill2485 Sorry, youtube didn't let me use . , so replace dot with .

  • @kirill2485 How do I find Transmitter? I can't find it in Cydia. Can you put windows xp on an ipod touch 1g using these steps?

  • Comment removed

  • @SexMaster63 filecropdotcom/59574075/index.html, its not on cydia

  • @kirill2485 Thanks, I will search for windows xp starter. if I can't find it, I will search for the original file.

    Subscribed :D

  • The reason why so many dislikes is simply because we came here to see how to "RUN" Mac OS X (or Windows) on our iPad, and not how to use it as a terminal. Even worst, he's mentioning LogMeIn but turre are several

  • @moralesparra84 Even before the first 30 seconds I explain that I am just showing you how to do it with remote desktop. Yes, there are now more tools to do this on the iPad then there were a year ago when I made this video. Technology videos get dates quickly. I encourage people to explore those. If there had been another way to "run" Windows or Mac OSes on the iPad, I would have mentioned that.

  • @AsktheTechies Who cares if you explain it in the first 30 seconds or the first 3 seconds that you are showing how to remote desktop. The fact that you named the video "How to RUN windows on an ipad" was just an obvious pathetic ploy to dupe people into watching your useless video.

  • I didn't come to a video titled "How to use a remote desktop app to control a Windows 7 computer remotely from my iPad" -- I came looking for a video to run Windows 7 >>ON<< my iPad. This video is bad, and you should feel bad.

Also, "no wires" = wut? How many times do you need to remind us that there's no cables? We know wifi exists. We use iPads.

  • thats very helpful

    why so many dislikes?

  • @funrizwan

It's simply because we came to see how to "RUN" Mac OS X (or Windows) on our iPad, but he's just showing us how to use our iPad as a terminal, WITH A PAID APP!... there are a few Apps that do the same for free!

  • You mean hamachi

  • You don't actually "run" Windows 7 or Macintosh, you just control it! The iTeleport and TeamViewer do the same thing with much better quality!

You have to leave your PC open and not only that, you must have internet access to both iPad and your Computer!

So change the title to "Control your Mac/PC remotely with iPad" or something like that....

  • Where is the Windows/OS X code running? NOT ON THE IPAD ergo YOU ARE NOT RUNNING WINDOWS 7 NOR OS X ON AN IPAD. Comprende?

  • Your not running it on an iPad your just remote desktopping into another computer. This is VERY convenient but what we want someone to do is write Arm binaries for the ipad to run an actual Operating system on an ipad like lepord or windows 7

  • if your pc is sleep or not logged in u CAN wake it up wit logmein u jus have to grant da program permission from yo pc. anyway dis vid blows, totally misleading. dis is not mac nor windows on ipad because logmein require web connection. stupid techies!!!

  • Perhaps I am away from my computer and my computer goes in sleep mode, will I be still able to access it

  • This is only any good if you have your computer on, and in which case you may as well just use the computer. From anywhere without a WiFi connection, it'd use ridiculous amounts of data, renders it a pretty much useless app. Also, you're not running it on the iPad, it's simply a glorified VNC viewer

  • Can the computer be off or on sleep mode?

  • @TheWildfan987 No, it has to be on and logged in for the partner program to run.

  • Dude! Iteleport and desktop. Are the best apps!! Also, you'd better fix your title

  • on some point you come up with something for a new product and then you say..this is exactly what this is good for..(the i-pad is useless..this is the only thing it's good for)

  • Or buy an acer 1825pt lol :-)

  • Imagine the amount of downloads you use just to have a live stream of another computer and the power to control it.

  • SplashTop is better....

  • Wrong title ha? "How to remotely access Windows or OSX" would be the right...

  • Cheese & Rice... Really? Talk about wasting time. Just buy a damn netbook... or a laptop...

  • splashtop is an application that is $1.99 and it works better than SignMeIn

  • do i get flash player when i do that ?

  • He must not know how to use a laptop if he can't use a on screen mouse

  • @XxALLxCODxFOREVERxX Laptops are for people to weak and lazy to carry around a Mac Pro Tower with dual monitors. ;-)

  • @AsktheTechies I could carry that, but wouldn't. I'd rather carry my Windows around.

  • This channel should be called ask teh fakies.....fail video waste of time this is old news and not really running windows/osx lol should change the video name to how to remote control computers from your ipad

  • You have to move the entire screen instead of moving the mouse? Who thought of that bad idea?

  • teamviewer is free and does the same work

  • Could you run sketchbook pro desktop edition using this? Will the program run without lag?

  • @ndalhover Gee, you don't say.

  • Will it connect even if the desktop app is not actively running or do I need to manually start the program on my computer before I leave in order to connect later?

  • so expensive for the app

  • THIS APP COST $37 WHO THE HELL WOULD BUY IT????? good thing mine is jailbroken :)

  • y pa el ipod touch 4 g se puede

  • it would be really laggy unless your mac or windows is on a really fast broadband

  • if your computer is asleep and lets says hrs later u go on your ipads can you wake up the cpu and use it?

  • You are not running OSX on an iPad.

  • @brolicmode I am controlling OS X and manipulating OS X apps on the iPad.

  • @AsktheTechies Which doesn't help me develop apps while commuting, does it? Quite misleading title.

  • @AsktheTechies So don't say that you are, Quote "i'm gunna show you how i can run windows 7 on an iPad" 0:08

  • Comment removed

  • Like NX Technology, that's like Thin Clients but not near as fast. NX is much faster, but not available on iPad or Android. Also there is no way you can run any FLASH games or HD video & just plain will never work for World Golf Tour. Which about as awesome as it gets on the Web in a totally P2P streamed game.

btw... Apple users really need to realize that Adobe is bringing GPU accelerated 3D graphics to FLASH 11 (0-5% CPU) and unless they get FLASH, you'll all be missing out on 3D Molehill!

  • Does the other computer have to be turned on during this process?

  • isent that the same as using free team viewer?

  • Your Ipad smells like tits

  • how

  • @metroidfan220 1. Yes, that is what I said and demonstrated. 2. Steve Jobs pronounces it as "Oh es ten" ...that's good enough for me. The "X" is a roman numeral. I do sometimes say "X" as well as "ten" to help people less savvy understand what I am talking about.

  • @AsktheTechies That is what you demonstrated, but your phrasing in the introduction is deceptive, plus the title of your video doesn't include your "sort of."

Your reply about Steve Jobs pronunciation was a bit enlightening though - learn something every day.

  • @AsktheTechies Less savvy? You do realise using a vnc isn't really that savvy, nor, is knowing roman numerals.

  • @metroidfan220 X is Roman Numerals for 10.

  • @metroidfan220 thank yuh for clarifyinq it for all.. dis dude... althought fi have tought oftryin to run windows on an ipad i thin k a starter version of wondows 7 or any 32 bit cud dew it if it cud be installed using da ipad as an usb mass storge drive, doubt it wudt reali be useful due to its low massive storage spage...

  • @metroidfan220 U r a dumbass

  • @metroidfan220 Dude are you stupid?? Do you not now your roman numerals??

  • your video sucks! you are not running mac os on the ipad, you're just remote controlling your mac from your device, boring.

  • RDP is a better app for remote desktop...

  • but if u wanna ply a game would it still work nd can u plug in mouse on ipad

  • dumbbbb. use team veiwer HD its free. duhh. hahaha

  • @Leo93627 Nope.

  • @Leo93627 You can, you need to read about WOL (Wake On Lan), providing your turned off PC supports WOL, your firewall allows WOL requests to pass through & you can get your external IP address of your router.

DDNS is a great tool to use to enable you to enter a name instead of your IP for your external address, you can set your router up to automatically update your DDNS entry when your ISP changes your IP address.

  • @AsktheTechies ya u can. if u have eveyrthing working corectly u should be able to talk to the bios of the computer and turn it on

  • @AsktheTechies can you access your pc even if its on sleep?... & you just need wifi or 3g to do this right?... you know of any other apps that do the same thing that are for free... or ones that are just faster or better? thanks

  • @AsktheTechies According to the Web: this app can turn off and turn on (I've no idea how) your desktop

  • @AsktheTechies I had The Ultimate test yesterday with team viewer on my mac and iPod Touch Went a block away from my house it was cool!

  • Hey mate,

Thanks for your video, might save me cash not buying the more expensive windows tablets.

But does this remote desktopping allow for multi-touch on a windows program?

    Thanks again,

    Jesse

  • lame, real lame

  • @quaxk What I can't figure out is why people would want to run Windows on an iPad when there are actual tablet PCs out there for Windows.

  • @AsktheTechies i 100% agree

  • @AsktheTechies well cause the all look reeeeal ugly, apple is unfortunatly the only company that knows how to design mobile equipment, im a PC user but i love how the mac book looks and the ipad, or the iphone for that matter, its so minimalistic, and the unibody is a genious invention

  • I thumbed down for misleading title.....

  • @Lucky3LeavedClover I do say "well, sort of" in my opening statement, but I can see your point. Sorry for any confusion.

  • @AsktheTechies Well sorry, I just want to know how to run OS X on the iPad itself but I don't have an iMac so I thought maybe the iPad could run OS X... But I did a little research and apparently its a really hard task..

  • @Lucky3LeavedClover Unfortunately, the iPad requires one to hook it up periodically to a real computer. I really wish it was able to be more independent like a real Mac.

  • Wow, this application is awesome. The only drawback seems to be the choppy refresh rate. Anyone knows what causes that?

  • Comment removed

  • You can check on compressor without going through a system like that, simply use distributed processing in qmaster. Can then check it in batch monitor from any connected machine (or cluster) aswell as getting a hugely quicker compression

  • @douglasmain1986 True, but you can't then upload the video to youtube remotely without some sort of remote desktop or hiking to the office.

  • this app is 30 bucks!!! WTF?

  • @SOMEBILO1 It always amazes me when people balk at the price of software, yet will spend more than $30 on a trip to the movies that only serves you once. Good software takes a lot of work by several people. This software is made by professionals, not hobbyist. By comparison, Apple Remote Desktop costs $300 - granted it does more, but this software is only 10% of typical desktop software.

  • @SOMEBILO1 get I display its $2.50 and does the same thing

  • get team viewer better safe free and its not slow its as fast as light

  • Does your computer have to be on or can u leave it off and control your computer

  • @K00L9 it has to be one ,cuz wut u are doing u are just putting your desktops screen on the ipad so if the computer is off it will not work

  • useless s***t its damn slow. spalshtop is way better

  • @RaZoRxan a commodore 64 is better! LOL

  • good video thanks for the help, ive done all this and this works, but how to i use the wake on lan-feature with logmein?

  • That means that I can turn my iPad into a TV by watching a TV show in some flash format. ... woow weeee

I can turn it into a Radio as well streaming local FM radio stations..

    Oh the possibilities are endless...

    FAIL

  • why don't just use TeamViewer, it's free, the functions is the same and it supports Linux too.

  • this suck i would rather move the friggen pointer

  • parallels is far better for this kind of stuff

  • @DarkS3phiroth17 I like Parallels and use it frequently to run Windows on my Mac Pro. However, some functions of Windows do not work in this virtual environment.

  • so really, its not running it, its just a remote desktop gui? :-/

  • so it's just a streaming video of your desktop and you're controlling it with the touchscreen right?

  • Dont buy this app you have team viwer that does the same things and is free

    thumbs up

  • cant it log in if the computer is off on not already logged in

  • i was waiting to see something new old staff

  • will it work with iphone/ipod touch?

  • @vaibzzz123 Yes.

  • Splashtop is MUCH smoother. But probably less secure... who cares.

  • LogMeIn is great. Ive used it since it came out. I like to check my messenger away messages or utorrent downloads.

  • its secure, its encrypted ^^

  • @ndalhover Well, yeah your desktop is running the OS. The iPad becomes the input device, like a giant mouse

He did say it was a trick. All those videos on youtube about running Windows on the iPad use this or something similar.

But you don't just view it, you interact with it, which is really cool.

  • so then you have to leave your mac or pc on all the time? and you can do that free with team viewer.... :/ why pay for this app?

  • i can run win7, OS X, and Linux on my $300 netbook and i plan on getting a multi touch screen for $80 so apple u can suck it! lol

  • useless video ever...title does not even match

  • if you really want to use windows 7 or mac OS X.... just buy a desktop or laptop that has it... rather than experiencing the basic of the OSes.....

  • What a stupid video..LOGMEIN is a massive teck support tool thats been around for years..C'mon man, dont name videos wrong.

  • seriously change the title....Thats not running os x or win 7

  • Misleading title..

  • how much is it

  • pause at 1:35

  • @laithsrc there is in fact nothing there

  • @laithsrc dont get it

  • @iTzR4mP4G3

    he looks so gay

  • @laithsrc no pause it at 5:57

  • @laithsrc Why?

  • @laithsrc wat?

  • @laithsrc you made my day

  • @BOOMBABADOOM your welcome :)

  • Its not really a tut. 2 RUN Win7 on iPad.

    Its just remote. -.-

    So this sucks.

  • dont buy that just use team viewer. its free and very fast

  • is it possible to actually run any windows OS (older ones included - 2000,XP, etc) natively on the iPad?

I am sure Parallels is a bit heavy and i know it hasn't been made for ipad, but what about VMware, Crossover, Boot Camp, or any other solution.

I just have a few necessary apps for which there is no Mac counterpart...

  • will this work with windows 7 home premium?

  • why would u get this app when u could just use ur normal computer...

  • Ya lost me...

  • I didn't know you could switch to "Mouse Moves". I'm gonna try it on my iPod.

  • kafs

  • I love this program

I have it my laptop downstairs and my Wii upstairs and I control my laptop with my Wii via internet

The only problem with using a Wii is that the Logmein is in HTML, so it isnt live its cached

  • Is it fast enough to watch videos?

  • lol, with the mouse moving it would be like a track pad

  • ehem thats not running windows 7 on ipad, you should rename the video HOW TO USE A VNC CLIENT

  • Comment removed

  • nice

  • TeamViewer has an iPhone app.

  • I think iTap RDP or VNC are the best

  • cmon guys, use teamviewer, its completely free

  • Logmein is bad teleport is good

  • what do you call this type of application?

  • @Prozackityzac It is a mobile remote desktop app.

  • Lol Playing crysis maxed on ipad XD

  • hate how the screen moves and not the mouse.

  • @leftynic yeah, Molten technologies version is much better, I think.

  • Im on a laptop

    look ma, no wires

  • cant you drive only the mouse, do you must drive with the hole display always?

  • there is a free version of this called team viewer
