lol. good job on the good recording. where i was sitting the ushers were reallly patrolling making sure noone was recording anything or taking pictures.
Thanks for uploading the show! I missed out because of a hockey road trip and came home to friends saying how it was the best they have seen the band play and how they seem very rejuvenated. I was insanely bummed I missed out. So happy I can watch it here!
This song is an instant Dream Theater classic, once I heard the chanting, almost a belching sound, I knew this would set the tone for a great concert. By the way, nobody supplants the energy & fealty of Dream Theater fans. Additionally, I saw a lot of younger fans that will carry the torch for years to come... Also, Mangini is the most rhythmic skin basher I've ever seen and heard, obviously an erudite musician as he delivers the goods. Mr. LaBrie sounded euphonic too. Well done, just amazing!
@SuperVaughan3 that chanting is actually something called "Mongolian Throat Singing". It has something to do with making your vocal chords vibrate an octave or two lower than the actual note - and for the ones who can actually do it, you wouldn't believe how much it projects.
Damn, thanks for posting!! Sweet!! Now I know what I'm in for on the Boston concert 10/10 on a Meet and Greet up front. I'm viewing at 12:30AM and will probably be up for a few hrs watching the rest of the uploads. I'll be physyqued the entire ride in blasting every Dream Theater CD remembering every uploaded post. Great job......
@JackeShanTwo Oh man, I was blown away. I'll remember it for a long time. Mike Mangini's drum solo was absolutely amazing. He fit in perfectly and had a great time playing. DT was perfect . The whole night was an adrenaline high. I lost my voice the next day. James kinda hinted about swinging back up around the area after the tour...... a surprise, maybe? In the crowd we heard, PROMISE!!!! I'd be willing to loose my voice again.
i used to think that Labrie was okay, now i think okay Labrie kick ass.
he got better and better

Drum fill at 7:50 is cool, tom and octoban combo with 16th note singles on each hand. (I know, drum nerd here.)

Wow! Looks great! I'm seeing them tonight. I can't wait to see Mangini live.
Do you have any plans of making a DVD of your recording of the show?

Great sound although YT reduces quality. You should upload this show to Dimeadozen in HD ;)
