dude once u get the fierce diety mask u have already practicly beatn the game u dont get it until u get all the other masks and go to the final boss batle
i really dont get why nintendo didn´t originaly made this mask for use anywhere. i mean cum on. i have just beated the whole fu*king game. i dont think it would give me anything to be over powered now. luckely i have AR.

Oni does mean demon... sorta. They're big things. Like the western ogres.
In Link's (Rinku's) case, it goes to show how fierce he is. He's as fierce as an Oni.
However,
There is a belief he is Kishin (or Kijin) instead of Oni. Kijin being Fierce (or Wrathful) God.

Kick ass.
Oni Link is so strong he was only used in boss rooms. Using Fierce Diety anywhere else would make the game to easy to beat.
