  • Falling Up= My Favorite Band.

Goddess of the Dayspring Am I= My Favorite Song.

Amazing album! My Number two favorite album, after "Cities" by Anberlin.

    2/3 ain't bad! :D

  • I have now listened to this album for a year since it's release. The music is there, the message is not. There is another band from Portland, Oregon who has been successful and not lost their way when it comes to preaching the message of Jesus Christ....KUTLESS. All of their albums rock and talk about Christ, dealing with struggles in life, and standing up for the faith. You guys need to get back to what made me and so many other love you and your music. A message of hope through Christ.

  • @SavageReb72 How have they lost there way because they released a concept album? This album isn't dealing with other religions it was based off a screenplay that was never made into a movie. I think this album does a great job of inspiring hope seeing as its about one mans struggles to go and find a cure for a poison affecting all the children on his world. Maybe you should learn what the message is before judging it.

  • I love this album! Is so much better than the last one. Is so mature and songs are so not random in tone. It's such a shame that they're not playing any gigs in EU :(

  • It's not that "Fangs!" is a bad album; it's just unexpected. It's not the "mosh-able" music that many fans had come to expect.

The amusing thing is that "Fangs!" really isn't too different from their previous albums. If you read the lyrics for the first 4 albums, they frequently allude to the "Fangs!" story. "Fangs!" is the "Aha!" moment when Jesse reveals the story he had been telling the whole time.

FYI: "Fangs!" is one of my favorite albums of all time :-).

  • :( I don't like this album.

I have no idea what's wrong with it.

but I don't like it XD.

    but I love falling up.

  • I have to say that all of Falling up's 4 main albums were their best: crashings, captivia, exit lights, dawn escapes. But Fangs! steers from their usual sound and piece together 12 songs that contemplate a story, that Jesse Ribory beautiful pieces together, each song has its own setting and mood to it, which I found intresting. All and all Fangs has its own style and sense of orginality.

  • Falling Up's new concept album called Fangs is a work of sub-creation. Its an artistic genius and illusion of a hero epic journey at Neptunenn's with Divine help. If you just let your imagination take hold you will meet more than just the characters with the lyrics and dig for words, the music, and dig into the sound. You will see, sense with all your senses and all the characters suffering and your joy in person in your mind and feel the emotions of the songs of the realm of fantasy.

  • Remember when you where young how we long to for a chance to explore other worlds? A sense of wonder and curiosity kept mom with anxious tip toes for us all for places we never knew existed in our small world aka House. Reflect on this: Wonders of the Imagination connect us to the wonders of being human. Can't wait for more or continuation of the book of Fangs from Falling Up.

  • i dont know i like 2-3 songs of it but i think captiva was the last great album.

also i was pumped to see them live and they played ony crap from fangs!

people were yelling "bittersweet" and "moonlit!"

i was so dissapointed! (im their still my alltime fav though!)

  • I can't believe that some people don't like this album...maybe I'm just a nerd, but goodness, I like the conceptual album and the visual that each song creates. I mean, 'The King's Garden' is sooo beautiful, and he sings it perfect. I have never heard Falling Up until this album, and I like it because its thoughtful, and well executed. I hope they always make music like this, music that just continues to morph and transform and create mindscapes that have artistic and encapsulating undertones.

  • This is probably the best concept album I've ever heard. And just for the record, I love all of Falling Up's main 4 albums

  • Dawn Escapes <3

    Crashings<3

  • To be honest, contrary to what everyone says, Captiva was my least favourite album. O; There were some songs on it I loved but not enough of them... I like Fangs! a lot better because I love the story that goes along with it... even though it's not easily understood on the album. But, even though the lyrics are confusing, that's Falling Up for you. They tend to have lyrics that don't make a lot of sense. xD

  • Crashings and Dawn escapes were the best Exit lights was great too. Where did their sound go?

  • I'm still a little dissapointed in this Album. I thought maybe it would grow on me but it just doesn't compare to the last three albums. Great band though. Already waiting for something new.

  • it toke me awhile to really like the CD

  • Mightyvolcan? O_O how could you say that? It's true-this is one of Falling Up's weaker albums, especially after the best one, Captiva, came out. Nevertheless, It's still excellent music, just unique and very different than anything else. Wouldn't you agree with me on the fact that every Falling Up album is totally different than one another? That's why I was a little nervous buying this out at first-but, this album probably still exceeded my expectations! :)

  • I like how dark their CDs have become... Exit>LIght was kind of a preview to Captiva and now Fangs!. I still need to buy this one but I have all the others and still listen to all of them quite often.

  • Dark? Falling up-dark?

  • This cd is so perfect. The sidewinder flux is so beautiful but my favorite has to be Lotus and Langourous. Falling Up has always been awesome. But a concept album? Even better.

  • The new album sucked. I loved these guy alot till they screwed up with fangs. Fuck dawn escapes was so perfect :/

  • tru dat

  • yup Dawn Escapes was perfect! But the new album's pretty cool, too.

  • Streams of Woe at Acheron. Amazing song!!

  • What song is this on their cd?

  • a colour eoptian

  • there first 2 albums were the best

  • Totally agree.

  • I think Captiva and Dawn Escapes were the best.

  • man i cant wait for their new CD to come out

  • I cant wait for this to come out. Sounds AWESOME! and yes, the whole thing is a story, something about a dude in another world/planet looking at the place. theres a description on their myspace page. its one of their video things.

  • this album is a story of fiction put in song form but its lyrics still contain a christian message

  • this scares me bc I don't like what I hear... hope the album is better than this sample here..

  • my favorite is still crashings but hopefully this will be good too!

  • Can't wait!

  • yeah what KarenaYH said is somewhat true but not really. I mean I am uber excited but if you listen to both Hotel Aquariam, maps, good morning planetarium and basically any track on the ADTL cd, Jesse writes strong Christian songs.... Whats their best album though??? ANy1 plz comment... I need to know what to buy!!!

  • I suggest crashings

  • i have been a long time fan. i have all their albums. i would suggest their newest release: Captiva. It not only incorporates all their previous cd's work, but adds immensely to it. their recording equipment is also much better than their previous works. and if you want the highlights from their first two albums then get their Remix CD (not the "save the trees one" but the one with the statue in the pool for the cover). sorry i forget the name of it right now.

    so there you have it

  • Exit-Lights

  • i like dawn escapes the best

  • I can't wait!!!!!!!!!!

  • Ooh this is awesome!! I'm so excited!!!!!!!!! :D

  • ok umm, they do have christian lyrics, more than most bands, listen to good morning planetarium- broken heart, falling in love, just to name some...

  • Ya, they're songs are hard to understand but you just have to look between the lines, and in between those lines are their lyrics for Christianity, just pay close attention to the lyrics.

  • Falling Up has always had somewhat indecipherable lyrics, which is why they probably attach Scripture references by each song for better comprehension. Nevertheless, they have great lyrics.

  • though there are some weird songs on Captiva, most of them have a christian meaning......ie: Hotel Aq., Maps, Good Morn. Planiterium, etc.

but ya i would like to see more understandibility (if thats a word!) in Fangs!

  • yey for Fallnig Up! I cant wait ^^

  • I Can't wait for the new music in Fangs. It's going to have a totally new edge. I'm stoked! :]]!

  • i personally like the first album, crashings the best

  • *sigh*

Falling Up perfected their sound in their first album Crashings with a rockish edge. Now they've wasted that sound and gone to a Switchfoot like style. Honestly, it's terrible! I was hoping they got the message in this album but I guess not =/

But I wish you all the best Falling Up

  • he did say this was their hardest album so, they might surprise you

  • AHHH I CAN'T WAIT!

  • Make falling up go on tour plz..

  • Oh my, this is going to be an Awesome Album!

  • cant wait for fangs

  • 1st!!!

    oh i cant wait
