What PM says its kind of true, if we have many opposition members in the parliament, policies implementation and decisions making will be very slow in Singapore. The parliament will spend lots of time wasting on PAP vs Opposition debates. What will happen to the efficiency in Singapore? We will lose out to other countries

@jupitar93 You are very shallow and simplistic. Are you saying Japan, Europe, USA etc are all backward nations using Pentium 3? Then all MNCs who have competition are all backward and losing out.Then the only way PM Lee can work is to be Emperor cause there are no debates in monarchy.Even now, Singapore is efficient but policies are one-sided and poor and serve PAP more than it serve Singapore. Efficiency does not equal to being correct and good policies.

I hardly think most of the opposition party members are better ministers than current PAP ministers (with a few exceptions). You're just taking my point stated to the extreme. Well, different from you, I view most Singapore policies are aimed for long-term benefit and practical. Singapore has good leadership, that is undeniable, Singapore has alot of problems which PAP has solved them efficiently

PM Lee is bitching about competition from Opposition which is the same as Singaporeans whining about competition from FTs.1 to 2 Opposition, PM Lee can handle, anything more, he cannot concentrate on his work.Which job has no competition? He does not want private sector type of competition but wants top private sector pay. Does Singapore need such a person as leader ?

Let's be realistics, without PAP, u think UMNO will build MRTs and HDB for Singapore. After 45 years we all kn what a true good government is. Yes, not perfect, but better than so many other governments. We should give credits when credits is due. PAP is better than UMNO: giving better lives for people and future generations.
