I dont think it plays with the tone that much. Sound changes when it gets loud and speakers are pushing harder - you simply cannot reproduce that - But these days I use low wattage speakers that break up nice and early and play without a hotplate. Never really getting the amp over 2.

Watch out you don't overcook that amp in the flightcase!!

the back comes off the case and I have removed the big back plate off the amp - so its actually better ventilated than most other amps you ever see around :)

its called a hot plate/annuator. basically you can get the tones you would get playing louder, but you can achieve them at a lower volume

i recon the roll on era was his best sound

listening to the live at the wireless show they did in 2000 is the best sound ive ever herd. Would that have been using the bogner cabs and Marshall JMP superlead heads?

Live at the wireless 2000 was the gig his amp blew up at the start and he played through Scotts Ampeg bass rig!!! hahaha

sounds very clean. but i like the chris cheney sound of witch doctor or living in sin better. every time i hear these amps i hear ac/dc tone. not a bad thing really, its just when i hear a jmp marshall or fender vibro king its not that way. ive been a tle fan since i saw them in 98 on the warp tour. my fav band ever

G'day. The falcon is more full sounding to me. Basically its a little bit more beefy and suits rock tones slightly better. Not by a large margin but I do notice the difference.

hey man. its a THD Hotplate... long story short I can take out 4,8,12, or 16dB therefore I can crank the amp to get 'the loud tone' at a quiet level. When I did this clip the wizard was on 10, but with the hotplate on. The actual volume was probably only the equivilent of about the amp normally on 3 or 4

wow nice sound thats chris. alrite absolute killer i want one. how much did it cost ya coz i found out u can only order them frm the factory in canada (im in england) but on the website i cant seem to find any pricing info. plz help oh and that songs intro bugged me when i tried to figure it out

got mine second hand. expensive to ship across the world and customs fees. All up cost me about $5500AU i think it was. Cheaper and better than a top of the line mesa or bogner :)

Search the internet for 2nd hand models as new ones are $4950US new plus up to a 2 year waiting list! Ive heard some people recieved theirs within a few months, others a couple of years! Alot cheaper to try find a 2nd hand one. Not many are outside the USA..
