Despite all of the ceasefire agreeements Saddam wasn't an immediate threat. He never attacked our country.
Now Osama did. Why did Bush let him go? Osama is now as powerful as he was before. Do we go after him? Nah, we're going to let him rebuild and use Iraq as a recruitment tool.
As for the WMDs...yeah we had to find them to regain world credibility. Instead of WMDs we have plenty of Bush/Cheney profiteering scandals instead.
