@tabbyaboutroots: As far as I know, it's only a matter of translations. For example, the Japanese version is in... Japan, the USA version is English with english texts, and for the EU market there's a Multi 3 version, english with texts at least in English, Spanish and Italian.

I think the actual gameplay is genius--the way it cuts out all the boring navigation/exploration of RPGs is revolutionary...I'm surprised I haven't seen it ripped off more in casual games. The trigger point system is just brilliant--no wandering aimlessly...you enter a room, and see what you can interact with...and spend your trigger points accordingly. Combat is neat too, but it's the trigger point system I just thought was absolute genius. (To overuse a word!)

The biggest problem I had with this is the items and leveling system. In the end, you spent more time in practice mode than actually playing. No doubt, this game was amazing, and the battles were both challenging and fun, but to play through it multiple times with such a linear story line? It's just not possible without ceasing to care. Sure, the bathing scenes were... a must... but other than that, I didn't care about facial expressions or in-game music. 2 playthroughs was good for me.

All of the voices sound better in Japanese except Ein. He sounds like a girl; sometimes a guy being voiced by a girl works and sometimes the girl voice actor actually sounds like a guy, but, for me, it just didnt work with Ein.

OMG! in PSP ver. voice acting is terrible (except Ledah)!!! Ein has girl voice 0.0" Definitely in GBA ver. all characters have cool voice. Btw. Riviera rox, amazing RPG, my No.1 (second is Yggdra Union) =)

no not really final Fantasy advance. You choose directions to move to another screen and you use target points to look around to get items weapons and sometimes traps fairies to forward the story. a pretty intresting and creative gameplay that you'll wont see repeatitive grinding and the story has to continuously move onward

they actually used the same sprites as GBA. IF your done any form of emulation. You would knlow they did a technique similar to super eagle. Bascialy smothing out the pixels into lines. This does not improve them, meerely making them look decent. PSP has it's fault's. I keep meeting with a weird loading time issues.

That's right. The grafics and the full voiced thingy makes the PSP version quite the best of the two, because of the PSP's superior power in comparison with the GBA. But of course, for Nintendo lovers or PSP haters, the GBA version is still just fine!
