  • Flatley might have a big ego but his choreography is brilliant.LOTD is coming to my town in Apriland I'm going to watch it. can't wait!!!!!!!

  • may i remind everyone that he retired for a while and then his first performance back fro retirement he vomited from the exhaustion, now look at him. The exhaustion is probably so much for him and yet he can still do this-you have to respect the man for doing an entire show like this, i tend to tire out just after this opening.

  • He's Not Fat and 50 Is NOT OLD..! So What If Some of This is from "Planet Ireland"..! Michael is the Creator/Choreographer So He Decides What He Puts in his Show..! Jesh..! What Is Wrong With You People! So Sick and Tired of Haters..Go To Hell All of You! You Can Only Dream of Taking One Step Like Flatley..! I Love You Michael! Always & ForEver My Celtic Tiger!

  • Planet Ireland at 4:47 :)

  • U guys realize that this scene can also be named "planet ireland" with the beginning where there is no music... I love michael flatley but have u noticed he repeated stuff from "lord of the dance" into "celtic tiger" i know he can do that just wondering if i was the only one that noticed

  • @fluteplaya22593 I noticed this also immediately when this show came up. I used to be a huge fan of MF and LOTD but, I don't like this. And also it's to much sexed up for me.

  • @latexpiepbeestje especially with the flight attendant scene in "Celtic Tiger" ... just too much... and he didn't market the new LOTD correctly in the US... it was mentioned once on FOX and Friends on St. Patrick's Day and some man saw it in a newspaper, and it was in limited theaters

  • 7 people got mauled by a celtic tiger

  • this performance is breathtaking!! I also love the costumes.

  • I am the Celtic Lioness..............x Come to mama Micheal if not your loss xxx love you ????? moga bi da i'Li moga bi ne ! as ne sneam .....xxxx

  • just when u thought Feet of Flames was gonna be the end of it...this comes along. Totally AWESOME!

  • allways wonderd somthing.. for this big of a show do they have like mikes on the shoes or is there mices all over the floor or somthing?

  • hey Ridge.

They use a tap track, which is basically pre-recorded taps played thorugh the speaker system. The floor they dance on is made of a special material that doesnt make any noise, so the actual taps of thier shoes wont sound out of sync with the prerecorded tap track. all the touring shows like CT, LOTD and Riverdance use them. Hope this answers your question!

  • wah???I went to a show, there were clips and claps and stomps and anyother sound a shoe could make. Im studing television(audio). Mics can pick it up, they dont have to be realy close to do so either.

  • I've never heard such a nonsense before... Noone would say something like this, if one has only a tiny idea how loud tap shoes can be....

  • @Flibla trust me.... they use a tap track for massive shows like this. It doesnt take anything away from the show itself, but they indeed are prerecorded. Ask anyone who knows the behind the scenes of shows like this, and they will tell you.

  • @djtizzie so you say that feet of flames is pre recorded because that show was the biggest of them all? i don't believe that if you watch the dvd you see that there is something wrong whit his shoe in the battle scene he graps his shoe to look if there is something wrong. you cannot tell me that that is also pre recorded...... the mic's are very sensitive for noices so i don't believe this crap :D

  • @meagainagain87

This is not a secret. All of the dancers of the show will admit to it, it's because they play arena's. In fact, to make it even worse for you *whispers* the taps for Feet of Flames were not even pre-recorded by Michael Flatley...

  • It's amazing!!!

  • oh for christ sake SO WHAT!!! who cares if hes doing irish dancing or half irish half morris dancing or something. he is good at what he does. fact. if you like hinm, then good for you, you have a good role model to look up to. if you dont like him, dont go preaching your hate around. there is just no point. plus, the world has too much hate anyway.

  • umm are you an irish step dancer...if not then please keep your mouth shut b/c you could never even do what he does...IT"S HARD....o and if you are a step dancer than wow, my question is why....b/c you seem to really dislike it and any GOOD dancer would appreciate what Mr. Flatley has done to promote this sport...

  • now i wanna learn how to river dance

  • Walk on water.

  • Say what you will about whether or not you like Flatley, you have to admit that this is an amazing acappella piece. The man does understand how to make rhythms work.

  • well said:D

  • OMG.. als je daar zit en je hoort dat hart.. je gaat echt dood! je wil zoo graag dat het begint!!

IT WAS THE BEST DAY OF MY LIFE!!

  • Great!!!

  • This was amazing! I love everything about step-dancing and have a huge amount of respect for the dancers. I'd get my feet tangled up and fall on my face to be sure!

  • Fricken amazing a cappella number.

  • as someone who has tap danced on stage.. There are mics on the floor near the front of the stage.. you would be surprised at what they can pick up...They are highly sensitive...

  • This show is actually a remake of Feet of Flames. I have the dvd with the interview about his irish dancing history. ^^

  • I saw this show live. It's amazing how they can dance. Michael is the best. Hope he will dance again

  • safraantjes, we don't know if Michael will dance again or not. He will be 50 July 16, 2008. He last danced live in this show and directed a show last year. He's still recovering from an illness, it remains to be seen if he wants to perform on stage anymore. It's nice to think and wish that he will

  • .... and the King of Step honored my country (Hungary) by introducing this show to the world in our capital city.

  • watch that stage very closely at the end, it is really really bounceing!

  • Great dancing. The costumes are hilarious looking.

  • Saw this live in Sheffield - he looked fat and old. The tapping noises were dubbed in and mimed too (as was all the instruments in the show). I was near the front and could see the sync often well out. A shame as in his ealry days he was awesome. Good show and production but not at his best. He let himself go.

  • not a big fan of the entire show but this introduction is awesome.

  • The Viking number comes later in the show.

  • The Wardrobe Sucks!

  • this is sad. i really do feel sad for him. hes not dancing like he used to. he must feel tired.

    damn.

  • listen closely, let's see you do better?!..what an asshat you are

  • DaCamera79 doesn't have to. Michael should. Everyone thinks he's so wonderful and creative, then he should do better. I've heard bits from almost all other shows he was in just the first half. I'm also dissapointed.

  • is it me or hes losing energy? in comparison to his previous works

    well he is getting old

  • hey thats pretty darn cool!

  • One of the best dances of all his shows. Irish dancing in Roman Centurian outfits does show a frightening lack of historical perspective though!! But, Michael, you're pretty cool, man. You have accomplished a lot in life. Congratulations. Proud you're from Chicago.

  • narnianwarrior, the gladiators came to ireland, and scottland, and killed and raped, and tortured them. took them as slaves, took their goods and etc.

  • i really love the whole tap thing, noone does it better however the wardrobe person should be shot... gladiators... wtf?! actually scrap that, i bet MF does the wardrobe too! only he could get away with that... j u s t.

  • must get an outfit like that, i think i'm missing out!

  • wow!

  • Oh god, Micheal Flately and Russell Crowe had a baby together and the celtic tiger was born! Same shit different background.

  • you have gotta love the classic MF moonwalk, he has done it in every show he's ever done and noone else does it hahaha

  • wanted to go back in november to see him but then michael fell ill so missed out ..

  • hmmmm not good but he comes back he contineu his tour so you can go then

  • great upload

  • thx it is great huh you been there or not that is so awesome
