I was at the first (unofficial) game at Camden Yards (before Opening Day) where the O's played the Mets (and Eddie was on the Mets team). The place was CLEAN. all the concrete was still white as new. And after that they changed the backdrop behind the batter; it was rehung as it still is today.

Hey notoriuscj, I seen tthe 1966 sweep against the Dodgers Game 4, you should see my condo. Its a Baltimore Orioles shrine and I'm always adding to it. I even feed the birds outside. Watch out in 2 or 3 years, we will begin to dominate for many years as we used to during the glory years, its not that far away from now. The Oriole Way will return to Birdland.

Actually I'm up I-95 near the toll booths in Newark, Delaware off Rt. 896. Ken Singleton is entering the shrine next week then the pic of Brooks Robinson surrounded by his 16 Gold Gloves Trophies. Both are autographed. Nobody from the current team will be admitted until they win a World Series. They must earn my respect to be here.There is Ravens stuff here too but no Indy Irsays, Nevermore!

I went to the game on Saturday night in that Tigers serie and got to see Wieters hit a Triple. Great seats in back of Home Plate about 20 rows back. He seems to be good with the pitcher and will be a great field general. He seems to take charge very well, good poise.

After 36 years, it appears as if the city's name will make a return to the Orioles' road uniforms.

The Sun has learned that the Orioles are in the process of filing the required paperwork with Major League Baseball to add "Baltimore" to their road jerseys, replacing the nickname of the club that has adorned the away uniforms since 1973, according to a source with knowledge of the situation. The uniform change would go into effect for the 2009 season.
