oh I see, you are using flat tape. I am trying to use a yellow meshy thing that doesn't sit flat against the wall. Makes it almost impossible to spackle...
I watched this video over and over and I love the info, Your very good at it, Wished you lived in my area we could lay down some spackle on my 2 new rooms i`m building lol. Thanks again
Wow the video made it so much easier to understand how easy it is to spackle the outside corners. And you did it with a positive tone that makes learning so much easier
@jtab720 Thanks for the vote of confidence. Glad to help. I'm a coach by trade so I guess that's where the 'tone' comes from. I have a free course I'm posting on my site soon that details many of the basics that I believe are necessary for a lifetime of handy-skills. Check it out at your leisure if you wish. all best, Michael
Thanks for taking the time to share your know-how. I thought I was doing pretty good on my little DIY job but wasn't quite satisfied with my final pre-sand coat. Of course you learn a lot from watching someone who knows how to do something properly. (Every trade has a technique!) Now I've off to go buy that missing 12" knife. ;-)
@brian163utube Thanks Brian. I learned from some pretty good craftsman and I'm happy to pass the lessons along. I'm not a spackler by trade but have been doing it since I was a teenager.
Been doing it for 20 years. My advice as well. Clean coats and smooth finishes = less/no sanding and a better finished product. Maybe a little sponging, that's it. Good job.
@wingmanalive Hey, thanks for the vote of confidence. Humbled to hear that from a pro. My father taught me years ago, and as you know, it takes lots of practice! Not nearly as easy as it looks.
@irich62 Didn't say I learned anything from the vid lol. Just reminded me of years ago. It's not about slapping it on and deal with it in the next coat. Even spackling can be an art. I just hated sanding gypsum.
@SSamuelR44 Wow! that's a nice compliment. Sorry I didn't see this earlier. I don't get on this site much. I have another acct. with about 40 videos and I just haven't kept up with this one.
Yea good job teaching me teach.

@wingmanalive if you have been doing it for 20 years and learned something from this video I'd hate to see the houses you have butchered...lol

@Dalan83 That was my intention! Make it easier. I don't like things that are too complicated. At least not more than they need to be :-)
