  • Keef is Keef <3

  • Love this man!!!! The Stones' soul, always staying true to the roots of the band

  • Always liked this song, along with "Take It So Hard." Both seemed to have some real relevance for me in 1988-89. Cool to hear them again, so many years later....

  • Just reading the Keith Richards autobiography so I have context. I will put it down as one of the great unknown (at least to me) tunes ever. Gotta hear it again.

  • no richards no stones? i dunno man, certainly fuking pointless to ponder or utter in my opiion. isnt there enuf keith dyckryders out there anywho. I"ll take alot of other rockers over 'the greatest rnr band in the world' anyway the stones are generally frightful and sinister (the whole band and catalouge not just mick, alrite?)

  • @gordonshitybum who gives a shit what you think

  • @gordonshitybum and every one of your "other rockers" learned how to play listening to Keith, you dickhead.

  • "Better that you kill the light- you're giving us all a fright" - whoa! That cuts.

  • one of my all time favorite albums

  • you like rock and roll ? ....then get this LP , simple.

  • you like rock and roll ? ....then get this LP , simple.

  • I hear ya... THINGS change> same thing on another given day can feel/seem sooo different as a matter of fact... "OH YEA"! No laughing/ no talking :-\

  • This tune is THE SHIT! I'm not, and never been a real Stones fan...But this song...Wow! Keef's loose, simple, almost dragging chord work IS the Stones! Gotta love Keef!

  • @MrTivino Agreed! I too was stopped in my tracks the first time I heard this one. This song in particular, plus Take it So Hard, pretty much confirmed who was at the Heart and Soul of the Stones music. All of the great driving rhythms we'd become so familiar with were contained in Keith's solo ventures and some.

No Keef... No Rolling Stones... it's just that simple.

  • @rockyjohnstone Exactly

  • One of the most under appreciated songs ever.

I'm not a Stones fan but this song......

Keith Richards has more soul in his left pinkie than Jagger ever had.

  • I just finished reading 'Life' for the fourth time this year. great book and it has fired my enthusiasm for hearing this music. As an old friend of mine says: "Don't rush!"

    Well, better late than never...

Keef must have accumulated some great karma in previous lives: he's a member of a truly great and iconic band and THIS is a great band on this album - drummer Steve Jordan is a gem but they're all superb musicians.

    Thanks for posting this.

    Best wishes

  • Killer tune Keef !! Great band too.....

  • LA MALAGUENA MEANS ""WOMAN NATURAL FROM MALAGA"" .AND DOES NOT HAVE NOTHING TO DO WITH PORTUGAL.I WRITE THIS HERE FOR TO DISIPATE MY IGNARANCE. IN THE CORRECT PLACE WAS NOT POSSIBLE TO INFORM YOU. ABOUT YOU DON T MOVE ME I LIKE IT !!

  • He ain't got the moves like Jagger.

  • @revivedSpArTaN yeah but without keith you have no songs upon which mick can sing too... the LV is never more important than the guy supplying the tunes...

  • @revivedSpArTaN And Jags can't play the guitar like Keef!

  • i like this one too <3

  • Keith ... show me sometin..John Iorio ...1986 wtby ct

  • I searched for this song for almost 25 yrs, without knowing who sang it. Even tho I knew the name of the song, nobody I asked knew who sang it or even remembered it. . KR has done some really good stuff in his day, but this one has to be my favorite. Thanks, SlowHand, for posting this. SO GLAD I lived long enough for YouTube to happen in my lifetime!

  • amazing song with or without lyrics

  • This was a great album. Keith rules.

  • I've been thinking of this tune for years...Thanks for the post...great song that I've not heard for a long time! Keith's solo album kicked like Mick's couldn't.

  • Classic song forever.....

  • This songs rolls an rolls on and on.....like it!!

  • wino's for life!

  • He admits in his book that this is about Jagger uring their fallout

  • good song

  • Always loved this song. His opinion of Mick was at a low point I would think.

  • @robertmacisaac Once heard or read this song described as "an icepick aimed between the shoulder blades of Mick Jagger". This was when the song was released. Never could forget it. Sorry for the lack of attribution.

  • keith
