This music, for me, sort of defines Damon's character/personality; There's the strong beginning bit that shows the bravery and tough, unfazed outer shell, or the part that the rest of the world see of Damon. Then you have the next bit, which is sort of tired, and slightly lonely. The next part is heartbreakingly sweet, and so very, undeniably broken, just as Damon is on the inside. Then it's as though the walls come back up, and once again the music is strong and brave. Absolute perfection.
Personally, I think all of the Vampire Diaries original scores are fantastic & they toy with your emotions. This song is overwhelming for me. I usually picture Katherine breaking Damon's heart in one of the episodes. And I can't stand seeing Stefan or Damon sad. <3
everytine I listen to this song, I just think about Damon and the wolf bite and all he did to protect Stefan & Elena... It's just so sad.. Episode 21 of Season 2 was defintely the saddest thing I've ever seen.
Everytime I listen to this, I think of Stelena (it's pratically their love theme)!!
