Spoilers... I really like how the game expands Jaks world beyond Haven and Kras City. The only nitpicking I have for this game is Dark Daxter. You see, dark jak was a rare case, Baron said that he should have been dead with all the injections that were pumped into him. Then again Daxter is a precursor so maybe he can handle all of that Dark Eco. Idk Dark Daxter seemed out of place in the story.

Guys remember Jak from TPL? That's who he is. The "angry/badass" Jak was caused by dark eco (and two years of torture, I like how the flashback shows he's not completely over it and Dax doesn't really know what to say, its a nice touch). In Jak 3 he absorbed light eco which balanced his anger issues so he's a mix between his relaxed and kind TPL self and the talking, gun and driving loving Jak from 2-X. That's NOT the worst thing about this game so don't give only that all the hate ok? =3

@AlpalTheGreat What Naughty Dog should make is like...*takes a puff*...ok, you know on Jak 3 they say all that Mar did, but it turns out Jak was Mar. You saw Jak get into the Rat Ship (lawlz) and take off but all of a sudden pop back up out of nowhere. Ok, it's like this; Jak was taken to the past to fight for the universe then start on Haven City. He then misses his friends at the end of this game and returns to the exact point in time when he left. That would explain things.

I like where you're going with that. I've always thought Jak actually left, but I'm not sure where. The only problem with him going back to the past is that Daxter wouldn't be with him. I'm not sure he'd want to go through all the stuff like building Haven City and stuff without Daxter. But I do like the idea of time traveling. Maybe if Naughty Dog needs a stopgap game between Uncharted 3 and whatever they end up making for the PS4, they could make another Jak and Daxter.

I'll jak better in this game. He is acting more like he did in TPL (nicer, humbler, but with dialog). And his change of character makes sense, the only reason he was so angry in Jak 2 was because he was infected with dark eco and in jail for 2 years, in jak 3 and jak X he started to get nicer again.

Kindhearted has always been his character trait - all troughout the series. When you take the rash attitude away all that is left is a dull, one dimensional character.

His "aggression" has been the positive type.

I'm not sure but maybe thye were too much influenzed by Rathcet? Maybe someone who knows the character better can tell me.

I have nothing againt Jak being nice - he has always been! He's just always been a bad boy too xD

Maybe the character design is something I can get over from... My favorite design was in Jak3 after all. (Though J2 was awesome as well).

Voice actor is the same - I heard that he was asked to do the voice differently because Jak is not as dark as a character anymore (not sure if it's true due to lack of official sources).

Anyway I prefer him as sort of a gloomy character.. I can't relate to heroes at all - I always am more prone to like anti-heroes (or villains in the lack of darkish hero characters).

I have nothing against character developement.. the bad boy style just happens to be much more appealing xD
