i'm quite certain that she had some vocal lessons around 2000 and 2001 cause if u listen to that second and third F5 from lady marmalade it sounds quite good and connected, it sounds to me like a mix note but then again, she definitely stopped getting any kind of vocal education long time ago and it shows...now more that ever as she's experiencing vocal decline...i hope she has that vocal trainer and does something with that beautiful voice to actually keep it and make it grow...
She can hit the notes, and everybody loved it until she started to make them too long... she´s not trained to do it... that´s why her i turn to you E5 sound beautifil but the E5 from candyman is annoying... even on studio... still, there are better belters, but xtina is good for her "melismability", she can hit more notes in a second than adele in two years xD
@mariotl yeah i agree...it does get annoying. but xtina is working with a vocal coach bnow..hopefully she can get some help with that..cuase i hate when she's critsized all the time.
Very impressive, I hope she takes good care of her voice though. Seeing it in this compilation, it looks extremely tough for your vocal chords to do every song, every performance, every time.

Well very good female singer like X-tina can do it in their sleep but its more rare when a man does it because they usually dont have thatn much range like woman.
christina can belt up to G5/G#5.. the highest belt ever by any person C#6!! and I'm ALMOST sure that it is hard for a normal female voice to get over D5..
I'm a Lyric Tenor. I can also hit the low register notes as well. I can use my falsetto but that doiesn't make me a Soprano. I prolly had the sound of a Lyric Mezzo-Soprano/Leggiero 10 years ago.
well put it this way, my A4s and above are like christina aguileras F5s and above. and i am actually singing a few jennifer hudson songs so i have been belting higher up in my range recently.
well you know that i can't really apply vibrato (well, it's really harsh or really slow) but i have sustained an A. btw is it normal for vibrato in falsetto to be easier to apply?
well applying vibrato in falsetto should be just as easy to do in chest. If its harder to do in chest then you just need to make sure your producing it naturally and not forcing, relax :D
I need help, I used to be able to go to a sharp high tenor C and rarely a D5. but now I can't even go past F#4. and my head voice is limited also now so i my low notes. I can go to B2, but now my lowest is Eb3 what happened i'm so sad!
Hmm..seems you may have lost range you never probably really had to begin with. I mean you said you rarely could reach a D5. Remember, all your range must be consistent to actually count. So if you cannot hit notes you used to, then you probably never had that range are experiencing some kind of voice change :)
Well thing is, I like my tone better than before, it's really brianmcnight/david cook(if I want too) but if I use this tone My range decreases alot, but I somewhat have better control over my low notes and belts if I don't force it! only once every now and then does my range somewhat comeback. I feel alot comfortable in my tenor timbre also, I can do baritone, but my tenor voice beats it by far.
Thats the problem. Your losing a false larynx vocal production. Sing with your true voice, don't try to sing differently than what your tone is. Just keep it natural. Thats why your range is acting up
You have to produce all those notes in a healthy way otherwise it will cause permanent damage to your voice :) A voice is better than no voice at all :) You can learn a proper technique to sing tose notes and you will be fine :)
Man I feel like katherine Mcphee, shes got good tone, but her upperrange sucks, also, I never strained on my notes so how can it be bad? I was sining in my baritone range all along, and then I started singing tenor and it wasjust like OMG i like this alot better LOL
LOL, Katherine has a great voice but yes her upper range is very thin. Anyway, if you never strained thats good but if its inconsistent then thats not good. Again, you must be able to hit all the notes consistently without any issues what so ever. Sounds like that fake tone you sing with is causing those issues
I used to be the same way! About a year and a alf ago I was singing as high as D5 in my chest voice but now my chest goes up to E4 with a belts ranging from B3-F4 comfortably! I can go as low as E2 with a some effort but comfortably I'd say G2 or F#2! My falsetto voice is crazy because I can sing up to B5! Only thing is I'm not so comfortable in my lower head voice notes like F#4-B4. So my voice is kinda weird to! I went from being a tenor with a limited range to a baritone with a big one!
Yeah i agree. I like some song though especially the ones where she is in duo but yeah most of them she does this yelling thing and its quite annoying
Belting (or vocal belting) refers to a specific technique of singing by which a singer uses a high-intensity sound to convey heightened emotional states. It is often referred to as 'yelling.
Taken from Wikipedia. Did i just saw the word yelling ????????????????? Morron !
ok for one...SHES NOT YELLING OR SCREAMING! She SINGS! If she "yelled" all the time she wouldnt have so many fans or fame. Jessica simpson..YELLS..christina..SINGS! GET THE HELL OVER IT!
Yeah you should get the hell over it too huh ? She is yelling/screaming in that part and its MY opinion k ? You got yours and i got mine. And i dont like her voice anyway, there is a lot better singer in the world than her. I admire though she can scream so loud =) Because when i think about it i dont think i could. So take some chill pills Ms. and lay back some. To each their opinion mmkay?
well maybe it sounds like she's screaming cause she's got a very powerful voice? that's what i think... And If u Don't LIke her then why are u watching this? Don't get me wrong Im just asking.../She is Really an Amazing singer! And That's My opinion!
Now, I'm not a big Aguilera fan (I think she's incredibly overrated as a vocalist) but this isn't yelling. She is, indeed, belting and not yelling. She can't really support the note and hold it for very long without relying on the vocal gymnastics but she isn't yelling. You don't have a vibrato when you yell.
Mariah Carey had a 7th octave range , but as she she got her older the octave range dropped to 5th octave. Have you ever listened to Emotions, All in your Mind or Someday? Do those sound like 5th octave notes? There's a video where she performed her song Emotions, maybe you need to listen to it.
Whitney and Celine can sing better than Beyonce but apparently have less octaves. Does that mean Beyonce is better? No.
Nobody knows for sure how many octaves each singer has anyway.
Whitney, Mariah, Celine, Xtina, Beyonce, Leona etc are ALL talented. IMO Whitney is the best but all are brilliant so why the fighting? It's pointless.
no beyone's vocal range is B2-C6 = 3 octaves and 1 note while celine' vocal range is Bb2-C6 = 3 octaves 1 note and a half note. christina's vocal range is C3-C#7 = 4 octaves and a half note and mariah's range is G#2-G#7 = 5 octaves
Ok, Calvin. I'll write to Ebony magazine and let them know that because that's where I got my source while reading about Mariah's comeback. I just love her voice, her music, and her lyrics.
Wonderful singer!
Love her. Forever and ever. <3

She can't really support the note and hold it for very long without relying on the vocal gymnastics but she isn't yelling. You don't have a vibrato when you yell.

A lot of Christina 6th Octave Notes
OneCL1CK 3 years ago
Mariah Carey had a 7th octave range , but as she she got her older the octave range dropped to 5th octave. Have you ever listened to Emotions, All in your Mind or Someday? Do those sound like 5th octave notes? There's a video where she performed her song Emotions, maybe you need to listen to it.

Who cares about octaves though really?
Whitney and Celine can sing better than Beyonce but apparently have less octaves. Does that mean Beyonce is better? No.
Nobody knows for sure how many octaves each singer has anyway.
Whitney, Mariah, Celine, Xtina, Beyonce, Leona etc are ALL talented. IMO Whitney is the best but all are brilliant so why the fighting? It's pointless.

christina 4 octaves and a half note = C3-C#7
celine 3 octaves a note and a half note = Bb2-C6
whitney 3 octaves and a half note = C3-C#6
beyonce 3 octaves and a note = B2-C6

omg how does mariah have 7 octaves, common sense tells you that G#2-G#7 is 5 octaves
celine and whitney have only ever have a max of 3 octaves 4 notes/3.5 octaves.

Ok, Calvin. I'll write to Ebony magazine and let them know that because that's where I got my source while reading about Mariah's comeback. I just love her voice, her music, and her lyrics.

mariahs comeback?
she has always been around! always doing music! she has never done a whitney.
go to my videos and watch the mariah carey vocal range vids, that shows it is 5 octaves

For all the people out there, this is the real immarocker247. I didn't say her note was a 4th octave, someone posing as me said that
immarocker247 3 years ago
candyman 8 sec belt is F5 studio, E5 live :)
also, there is no such thing as singing in the 5 octave, u have to be able to hit notes than span 5 octaves, like mariah carey
