I love this game, and have continued to enjoy it for a decade now. It's a perfect balance of control, gameplay, graphics and depth, and also a perfect example of how to properly take a game engine and fine-tune it. One of the single greatest aspects of this title is the wrestler-create, an area that was not available in previous THQ wrestling games. In addition to unlocking hidden wrestlers, I have found much enjoyment in the season mode, and create-a-PPV

I love this and No Mercy simply for the CAW's, My favs include a Headbangers like tag team, a Stone Cold like brawler, and a 7 foot dude, it's awesome, I could never make these kind of wrestlers on the new games, it's all style with no moves, whereas on here you can "borrow" styles and make them their own and give them great moves!

I still have my copy of ths game and I remember the royal rumble on this game it was HARD as hell to beat.

Damn I wished they put satan-taker on the new games. AKI and THQ had the nintendo 64 games on point. All of the games came from the japanese version called VPW

VPW64 and 2 are amazingly awesome. I highly recommend them for any hardcore wrestling fan.

During a special tap the A and B button instead the analog stick to do your opponents finisher.

you dont have to unlock hbk to use him, you can just create him, everythings there, just takes a hell of a long time to do the moveset. =P

This match was not as good as me and Ronmowers match on Slapdown vs. Raw 2009. :)

Never played this one. That fight played out like a real fight. Good review... is there anything this one has over No Mercy?

The 4 player fight feel a lot faster then No Mercy at least but it lacks extra modes like backstage fights.

I just found this game for $1 and I noticed that it still has better gameplay than any of the smackdown vs raw games. I don't understand why they did'nt just improve on this games great gameplay instead of going the more arcadey route for the smackdown games.

Much better then WCW Nitro and WWF Warzone for 64 for sure.
