  • Enjoyed the video. Curious... where do "you" purchase the Method products? I'd rather not have to pay for shipping "if" I can purchase their products locally. Thanks again. ~oO(♪)Oo~

  • @WiserRecordsInc Target!

  • Would you consider doing a video of your favorite dog goodies? (Shampoo, treats, any tricks for managing dog hair, favorite leashes, toys, an indestructible dog bed) since mine keeps chewing his up. Your pooches are so sweet!

  • I get all my cleaning items from the dollar store.

  • @PrimosTV1 Those are some great tips!

  • They have that granite spray at target on clearance :) and they have a lot of method sprays at my tjmaxx for cheaper than target like the stainless steal spray.. I love method but i also love Mrs Myers their cleaner is $7 dollars for huge bottle and its concentrated so it last for over a year and the basil one smells amazing :) I cant wait to see more videos like this!

  • @bnesmommy I keep forgetting about TJMaxx! Thanks for the reminder!

  • I also have a bagless vacuum and was recommended to add about 1/4 cup of water to the dust collector bin before vacuuming...I was skeptical. I mean, really, water?! But I took the risk and was so glad I did. The bin collected so much more than usual! I totally recommend it.

  • i love uuuuuuuuuuuu, ur my savor.

    Ill call u "WONDER WOMAN"

  • I love videos like this! Great idea for a second channel, can't wait for future videos!

  • Do you make sure these products were not tested on animals? I mean, I get not worrying about "eco friendly" and organic stuff but what other stuff? I'm a dog lover and am trying to find products that didn't come as a result of extreme animal abuse (like proctor and gamble products.)

  • @aquayonex I'm sorry to say I have not been very good about that. Definitely something to consider for future purchases. Thanks for bringing it up.

  • Thank so much for helpful vids, can you please review your vacuum, im planning to buy one like yours... thank you so kindly.

  • @KELLYSAMY I really like it so far-I would go with whatever Consumer Reports recommends-they've never steered me wrong!

  • I thought the smelling vinegar bothers dogs and cats.(Used to deter animals in your yard.)

  • your video was very helpful :)

  • do u wear rubber gloves when u clean

  • @holman26 No.

  • I splurge on paper towels too!!! How funny!! AND "VIVA" is the only way to go. It is sooooooo worth the extra money.Hands down the best paper towel on the market. While we are on the subject we also splurge on toilet paper to. Charmin is our fave!!! This video was fun.........I want to try the "vinegar" idea also but I'm still to afraid of the odor it may leave behind. Maybe one day I will get brave and check it out in the bathroom!! Thanks for a great video!!! loved it!!! =)

  • @scruffy281 Once the vinegar dries, you can't smell it. I also only use Charmin-too funny!

  • make sure u get a vac. with attachments! i use attachment (like for baseboards) a lot, esp. if it says on the vac well.

  • @nybsbfan18 Absolutely-the attachments are invaluable!

  • In regards to VACCUUMING....I have had such a hard time finding a vaccuum that can actually pick up the "stuff" the collects along the floorboards and in the corners (pet fur, my hair, kids hair, random tiny particles, etc - I assume you have similar problems as you have animals, kids and long hair, lol) so I am constantly on my knees picking up this stuff by hand. =( Do your vaccuums pick this up without a problem? Help me Marnie ....

  • @3mccann I suggest looking at the Consumer Reports recommendations. They are always spot on!

  • I LOVE the Method products and you have gotten me hooked on the entire line and not just the soaps. I've been dying to try the Steel for Real, but can't find it anywhere? I've tried every Target, WalMart and grocery store I've been in. They have the entire line at Target except that product. Where do you purchase it in SA and is it good enough for me to continue to search?

  • @momotrips3 I get it at Target in SA-I've seen it at the one at 281 and Stone Oak and also at Blanco/1604. It's good, but don't kill yourself (and waste gas) trying to hunt it down!

  • Hi, Marnie, I wanted to leave my best tip that I don't think I've seen posted: 70% rubbing alcohol on paper towels is the best glass cleaner I've ever used, IMO even beats out vinegar and water, and Windex by a mile.

  • hey Marnie, since this video have u perfected the amounts of vinegar to water as far as cleaning the glass in the bathroom is concerned? Please let me know. I'm pregnant and dealing with soap scum in my shower as well as the glass doors and I can't breath in all those harsh chemicals like bleach? Anyone???? Please help

  • @marleeny12 If you Google "vinegar for cleaning", you will find the different ratios recommended for various cleaning projects. It's really helpful!

  • I have a kirby sentra vacuum it is expensive but it comes with a bunch of attachments and a carpet shampoo attachment. and it has a lifetime warranty! Your right about having a good vacuum it makes a huge difference and its a good investment! I actually look forward to using it! LOL Love your channels!

  • @jeanams23 Hi, I also have a Kirby the Diamond Edition. Do they also have free maintenance on it? Hmm if so I need to find my paperwork on it. Thanks

  • i have a dyson and love it. target sells closeouts and big lots for like 199.00

  • @staceyheath That is an awesome deal!!

  • BTW, I use vinegar in the laundry to prevent bleeding and to keep dark colors from fading. I put it in the bleach dispenser. With that and some Shout Color Catchers, you can wash about anything together. This helps with my boys laundry so I don't have to do so many loads. I usually just throw all of one boys clothes in together so there's just one load for each boy. This helps SO much, as I have 13 year old triplet boys which makes putting things away tricky since they're the same sizes!

  • @momotrips3 OMG-you need to win some sort of award! I can NOT imagine having three of my oldest son right now!! Yikes!

  • @momotrips3 What kind of vinegar? Certain kind? Also how much do you put in the wash????? Please let me know I would love to start doing this.

  • I like your beauty channel, but THIS is the type of thing I'm really need! Lifestyle tips and tricks, cleaning, decor, cooking. I've been a stay-at-home mom for 13 years and have never been able to "get it down". I try Flylady, because I am an "all or nothing perfectionist" and I have rampant ADHD that gets worse as I age. As a result, either my home is beautiful perfection or it is a chaotic pig sty. School started today, so I have vowed this year to get it together, even if it takes Adderall!

  • @momotrips3 There's a new vid uploading right now that I think may help you a lot!

  • Hi Marnie, I don't remember what video you made where you briefly spoke about a cleaning product that was good for anything. It was in a bottle and the bottle was clear. I thought you said that your husband liked it so much that you had a couple of them in the house. l can't remember what video it was mentioned it....Do you know product I am referring to??

  • @jems379 Is it vinegar and water?

  • Decor tips on

A budget + house tour!! Great video

  • How do you keep such a neat & organized home? Please give us some tips on how you do it all. Thanks!

  • @bb60605 I really don't keep it as clean as you think, but I will do a video on what I do to keep it up soon.

  • Just found your vlog channel! I LOVE IT! :) Oh, my GNC carries essential oils! Great idea, I'm gonna try the vinegar for my bathrooms!

  • @HylyJrdn I just found that out about GNC too! I'm going back to pick up some faves!

  • hahah I love how you inject some humor talking about household cleaners lol =D

  • do a house tour and maybe decor tips pleeaasee!

  • @NancyGirlyfication Uploading a backyard tour tomorrow!

  • I also cut up old shirts before I throw them out and use them to dust with. They work much better than paper towels and because they are soft they don't scratch up my wood in any way. Frugal and works well!

  • I have the Hoover Wind Tunnel T-Series Rewind as well! I had a Dyson (Animal Series) before and it crapped out on me after 2 years! The Hoover is just as good as the Dyson and a third of the cost! LOVE IT! Good choice ;)

  • @emcsaleh Glad to hear it-I always second guess myself on purchases like that!

  • LOVE this video! More more more!

  • I love that you use vinegar and baking soda for housecleaning! I stopped using the most toxic cleansers when I was pregnant, and I've never looked back! Just wondering, do you have a specific schedule you follow to clean the house? Or do you just fit housecleaning around the rest of your weekly itinerary? I struggle each week to get it all done, especially since I work 40+ hours/week and have 2 young boys-any tips?

  • @sharisp2 I need to do a whole video on how I schedule the cleaning. Sometimes I'm good and stick to a schedule, and other days I just kind of wing it.

  • @lifewithgoldgirl That would be awesome! Oh, I just bought my first Method cleaning products today (they have them at my local drugstore-who knew?) I got the Squirt 'N Mop wood floor cleaner (which smells heavenly and does a great job on laminate flooring!) and the bathroom tub and tile cleaner. Loving them so far, so thank you for introducing me to them! :-)

  • Method cleaning products are eco friendly :D

  • Greetings from Melbourne, Australia!

I love it that you are a gorgeous looking woman (with a family!) with a YT channel!! I too LOVE the YT makeup community but I a 35 year old professional and sometimes wish ladies like yourself make more YT videos :):)

    Keep up the good work!

  • I have also heard that vinegar will also kill weeds on driveways :) Love this video, thanks for the tips.

  • I was wondering if you cut your dogs hair or you pay for grooming thanks.

  • @vivianloarca Bosley doesn't get groomed-he's very low maintenance. We just hose him off once in awhile. The other two go to the groomers for about $40 each every 8 weeks.

  • I absolutely LOVE your new channel, and I have a video suggestion for you! It would be awesome if you could do a cleaning schedule video. I have a 15 month old son, and I find it so hard to keep my house clean. :( However, I have been a subscriber of yours from the beginning of your original channel, and know that your house always looks so neat and clean! And tips on how you keep it that way would be greatly appreciated by me and I'm sure lots of other people too! Thanks so much. :)

  • @tmcatty1 That one is on my list! Thanks for reminding me!

  • @lifewithgoldgirl Thanks! :)

  • So I tried the Method granite cleaner. I have tried so many. My granite is almost black and it streaks super easily so I always end up using the vinegar windex which leaves it a little dull. The Method stuff is great. Shines without leaving greasy looking streaks. Thanks so much for the reccommendation.

  • What's your issue with Dyson? I've been thinking of getting their new stick.

  • @NashvilleBeauty My issue with Dyson is that I can get a decently performing stick vacuum for about $50, while a Dyson is $300. For $300 it better get itself out of the closet and vacuum by itself! :)

  • OMGOSH, LOVE THIS CHANNEL!

  • You american guys would be better off if you would be more ecologically!!

Seriously. I`m not addressing you personally, but the whole country.

When I think of how often you use cars and how many cars an average

houshold owns, makes me wanna throw up! Not to forget your waste

of plastic bags after every haul.... just two examples out of plenty.

very sad. If people all over the place would act like americans do,

a planet called earth would not exist anymore...!

  • @kyarah I think you may have one valid point, but as for the cars, you can't possibly compare American living to how Europeans live. Where I live, we have little to no mass transit and the nearest grocery store is 3 miles away up and down very steep hills. Cars are not a luxury but a necessity here.

  • @lifewithgoldgirl

I don`t really agree. I know what it is like where you live, I lived in such a place in the US for quite a while. Have you lived in Europe? Or what makes you think we have public transport everywhere?!? I think americans "overuse" cars, using cars for plenty of situations where it would NOT be necessary! And a family with 2 adults doesn`t "need" 3 old, environment-unfriendly cars. If cars would be much more expensive (fuel, insurance, etc.) you guys would change your mind!!

  • @kyarah USA & Canada combined aren't the worst in the world when it comes polution. There are other countries across the world (eastern hemisphere) contributing to poluting society. Not to mention mankind hasn't been around enough in comparison to the age of the earth. We don't know enough about ourselves much less the earth to know the earth's cycles, etc.- we like to think we do. All a person/businesses can do is learn & try to live more responsibly to the best of their ability

  • You took my breath away in this vid!! U look soo pretty!! Just thought you should know :)

  • @luluzulu183 Thank you!

  • Great vid, thanks! Gonna try the Method stainless steel on my new fridge :D

  • Sorry...I steam clothes with it and even dust. All this makes everything sanitized an no products! best invention yet!

  • @Eslater345 I've been eyeing one of those...

  • I use a steam cleaner on all my floors. It is amazing. For all other jobs I use the Shark steam pockets. I use it on my showers, my counter tops

  • Another great video! Totally gonna try out that Method line. I always see it at Target but was skeptical.

  • I'm so glad you decided to create a 2nd channel. I think these videos are not only entertaining and informative but useful! Can't wait till you decide to create a healthy lifestyle or diet video. Keep it up!

  • @MrsHerrera620 I'd have to have a healthy lifestyle first! :)

  • Oh,and you have a very beautiful eyes!!!

  • @151bestrum Thank you!

  • Thank you so much for these, very helpful, videos.I have a 4 year old boy and a 2 year old girl+a 13 years old dog(you know what i mean).Thank you, again.I am so excited to use your tips(vinegar snd baking soda). Thanks for starting this channel.Julia

  • great tips! Definitely will utilize the vinegar/scented oil idea :D...You're so right on investing in a 'good' vaccuum. We bought a refurb dyson off amazon & LOVE it. We have all carpet + pets so it really comes in handy :)

  • Loving this videos going to try the baking soda on my carpets :)

  • I use the shark steam mop on my tile floors and on my hard wood and it's amazing!!!! love that little gadget...Yes it's alittle pricey but I feel it worth the investment because its so easy to use and works. Another thing that I love for mopping is the wonder mop :) I loved the little credits at the end LOL you should of filled it out Starring Marnie and the westies LOL so funny and cute!!!

  • I love your videos!! They are all great. I watched this and you reminded me how well vinegar works. So, today when the power went out my 2 year old and I went around the house cleaning the walls and baseboards with it. Worked like a charm!!

I had suggested using a cleansing oil to remove eye make up on your other channel and was wondering if you had tried it and what you thought if you had?

    Love BOTH your channels. Fantastic.

  • @danapop711 I haven't tried a cleansing oil yet. My wipes work great and I'm a little hesitant since I wear contacts-I'm worried it will get in my eyes.

  • Marnie! Hey! I absolutely love this video, I think you've hit on something we all love to hear!! Thanks for all the recommendations! Please do more on subject!! Thanks :)

  • Love your vids and channels... keep them coming... big hugs from the netherlands :)

  • @Chemchoumi Big hugs right back from Texas!

  • Hey Marnie, love the new channel. I have used the Viva paper towels for years. They used to be the only ones that you could get in just white without a pattern. Going to hit

Target for the Method stainless cleaner, I have been looking for a good one.

    Thanks for the tips!

  • I totally agree about having a really good vacuum! I have a chow/collie mix dog and two boys, so I invested in the Dyson Animal vacuum (the purple one). It's awesome! Windex Antibacterial is great mult-purpose cleaner. I have a great stone countertop cleaner too, but can't think of it at the moment. I think it's from the Clorox all natural line. It's a light green color. Anyway, the guys that put my countertops in said it was the best to use.

  • Great great video! I use a lot of the Method products too. I also just recently ordered from Shaklee. Usually it only takes a few drops to a spray bottle and so far it's great!

  • "DON'T EAT THIS" lol

  • I got the paper towels at costo ,the costo brand and I was really impress with them. When my bathroom has a lot of hard water stains and build dop I put 2 alkaselcer and let it seat for 1 hour and scrub . Sorry my for english :0)

  • Ran out to Walmart and got the three in one today . I love it! For $20 you can't go wrong. Great for kitchen crumbs! Thanks Marnie!

  • I love the Method cleaners too. My favorite is the grapefruit all purpose cleaner. It smells so fresh :) I know you said your favorite laundry detergent in this video but I was curious, have you ever tried the Method laundry detergent?

  • @harkbeauty I haven't tried it yet-have you?

  • @lifewithgoldgirl I haven't tried it yet but the foam seems like an interesting concept.

  • Marnie, you are seriously the best! I appreciate these videos so much. I had never really cleaned (urgh, that sounds awful) until i moved into my own appt for school last year and I feel like I'm so behind in learning all of this stuff. I have loooved cleaning and decorating and keeping up the house but I dont really have the experience to know what works and what doesnt, which has led to so much money being wasted on things i don't care for. More life with gold girl videos, i love them!

  • Ok, I know this is a video about cleaning products, but is that a dress you're wearing and where is from? It's really cute and I'm on the hunt for a couple nice summer dresses.

  • @jmstraight I got it at Target last year-sorry!

  • Marnie,I watched the entire video despite the fact that in Poland we don't have those products.Of course we have the vinegar and baking soda and salt ;) I really like your new channel:)

  • @sprytnala You are so cute-thank you!

  • Hi, Marnie. Thanks for the video. Do you have any tips for cleaning fiberglass tubs and showers? I haven't found anything that will cut through the hard water stains and soap scum.

  • @TheButterflyPainter Mr. Clean eraser works great on my fiberglass tub!

  • love it marnie. i thought i was the only one who bought huge containers of baking soda and vinegar. as you say there is so much you can do with them. i read somewhere-and tried it-it works that if you have a family member or you yourself is sensitive to fragrance you can get soft, static free clothes from the drier if you put a cup of plain vinegar in the second rinse cycle of your washing machine. the clothes do not smell like vinegar in any way. thanks marnie. looking forward to more.

  • Also wanted to add that this channel is an obvious HIT!!! woo hoo, Thanks, Marnie from all of us!!!!!!

  • Awesome vid, Marnie! I LOVE Viva paper towels! FAR superior to the rest! ;0) Tho, I like plain white, regular sized sheets & they are difficult to find! UGH I can find them in the huge multi-roll packs, just don't have the space for that! :0( I've been using my shop-vac for my kitch, dine-room & "man room" floors before I mop them! Lugging that sukker around sure is fun! NOT! Ha! Never thought of one of those lil vac-brooms! DUH! *smacks forehead* LOL I'll be getting one SOON, now! ~Melissa

  • could you do a house tour please? you're house looks so beautiful

  • Thank you so much for making these videos! They are so helpful! My parents are separated and I live with my dad (I'm 16). He owns his own business, so I'm normally the one taking care of a huge house with 2 dogs while my dad is working. This video has helped me out so much, you have no idea. :)

  • @JustAnotherGayKid Hon, you are way ahead of the game on cleaning. When I was your age, I lived like a pig! Any other questions that you might have (about anything), feel free to ask!

  • ... now what I mentioned smells like cleaner not citrus, lemon or floral. Lol so it won't be for everyone but it works and that is what is important to me. Have a great day hun!

  • Hey Marnie thanks for sharing. I would like to share my all time favorite all-purpose cleaner... It's called "Totally Awesome" I but this either at Dollar General or the Dollar Tree either one of them stores sell it all the time. Even my neighbors were painting their vinyl shutter panels on the house and I used this and mine came out like brand new :) I use it on everything even spots on laundry.I think the only thing I dont use it on is windows and mirrors.I like vingar and water for them. :D

  • Really well thought out video - I enjoyed it a lot. I normally watch your other channel, but like the ideas that you've got to share here too! Keep up the good work. :)

A good cleaner that's a little unique is vodka. It disinfects, is great on glass and granite (no streaks), inexpensive and cheap. Enjoy your day!

  • @kellkerner And, when the housecleaning gets to be too much, you can always drink it as you clean! :)

  • I am liking all the new stuff you are covering, I like my makeup style gurus, but after awhile it gets stale.. This is new and fun Thanks!

  • I'm with you on the Viva I love it also !! Must try the vinegar with oil in it :) Thanks great video!

  • Love the Method Daily Granite, picked it up the other day after you talked about it and I absolutely love it. I have black granite so you can notice all the fingerprints and smear marks and this leaves no residue ! I'm going back to buy the refill jug, thanks .

Had to laugh about the legos and the vacuum, when my boys were small had to pull apart the bag many times looking for tiny pieces.

  • I have a Rainbow vaccume , it's powerful and the water cannister plus the hepha filter makes the return air smell sweet even with dogs. I love it

  • Love both of your channels :-) Have you tried Murphy's Oil Soap? I'm not sure how earth friendly it is but it's really mild that I use it on my wood floors and whenever I want to have a mild cleanser like on my countertops or tile floors. I also like the method hand soap but haven't tried the others. I'll have to pick some up next time I go to Target.

  • @love2shop011 I have it and I use it on my dining room table occasionally. It's good for getting rid of build-up on glass shower doors, too!

  • Hi Marnie:-) I really like this new channel, too!

I can't get my head around how efficient you seem. How do you manage to keep your house under control? Do you have any tips on motivation or a "system" you use to get through all the different chores? I really struggle with this and constantly feel I'm "drowning" in mess/ dirt/ laundry/ dust. As soon as I've cleared a space the mess starts accumulating again. I'd like to feel on top of it for once. Any thoughts??

    :-) Micha

  • @ILoveSimplicity It's all smoke and mirrors-I struggle like everyone else. I have my great days and my lazy days. You have to approach it like a full-time job. I'm going to make a whole video about this very soon.

  • Omg...when people just dust with like a feather duster..or just some pledge...it's like hello...the dust is still there, it's just being dispersed... I learned from my mom that you have to first vaccum it up. Thanks for sharing Marnie! I'm definately going to check out the method brand! I want to get one of those steam mops for my tile and hardwood flooring! xoxo Sara

  • loved this video! your dogs are adorable and i enjoy watching them too :)

  • This was a great video! I'm so glad you mentioned vacuums. I have a rainbow that my mom recently gave me that my father bought YEARS ago. This thing will suck anything out of the carpet. It's almost disgusting. lol! I just want something a little more light weight for quick vacuums and refreshing because I can't use any powders on my carpet with the rainbow. My downstairs is all tile too. I'll look into the ones you mentioned!

    <3

    Hayley

  • If I may add something Marnie, as a mom of stinky boys, I have discovered something amazing!

Poo-Pourri!!! The most fab bathroom spray ever!

I don't know how but it works!

It eliminate odors in the bathroom & keeps it smelling great for hours!

It is a little more money but it will last forever & it is money well spent! :-)

TY for a great video. Great tips!

P.S> I get it @ their site (with an online code) or Amazon.

  • @mqs7524 That is hysterical! I need to check that out!

  • @mqs7524 LOL--we have poo-pourri, too! They even sell a small travel size for your purse. (most women only go at home....but in case of emergency) The only problem is getting the kids to spray the water in the toilet bowl before they go!!! Hee hee

  • great video

  • I Love Viva too...totally worth every penny! Once I left one of the Viva paper towels in my pocket and washed and dried it with the laundry. Normally it would have been a shredded mess...but it was perfectly clean and still as strong as ever. Love those things!!

  • have you got a household remedy for getting water marks ( is it called scale) of the shower screens ??I have tried all sorts and it annoys me so bad.

  • @TheContentHearts The only thing that has worked for us - and it's surely not eco - is the "CLR" cleaning stuff. Gets EVERYTHING off our clear "plastic" (whatever it is) shower doors.

  • @xoxoLeony I would have to second that recommendation!

  • Haha, how funny, the being out of new vacuum cleaner bags while vacuuming has happened to me just yesterday! Really annoying. I like using vinegar in the bathroom, too. Good tip with the drop of oil, though I don't really mind the vinegar smell. Unfortunately the PX doesn't carry different scents of Method handsoap but the lavender one sure looks pretty!

Also super random but could you tell me again the name of that Bath & Bodyworks handcream that you love so much? Thank you!!

  • @xoxoLeony It's the True Spa (or something like that) Shea Butter hand cream. They changed the packaging, so if you're looking for the beige tube I think it's different now.

  • Wonderful video, Marnie! (and great blogTV today also) I'm going to try the Method brand for sure! For laundry- I used to use Tide for many years until last year when I started making my own powdered detergent. It's quick, cheap, cleans just as well as my Tide and has saved us a lot of money. Sounds over the top, I know--it was just going to be a fun experiment to do with the kids! But looking for the recipe is what led me to You Tube and from there I found YOU!

    ~xoxo Melody (aka: melmarie)

  • @lmmbchampion Hi Melody!! You are insane-I draw the line at making my own detergent! :)

  • I think my favorite part was the rolling credits at the end. ;) Editing is over-rated. LMAO ;)

  • @ratherbedancing3 Editing sucks!!

  • OMG! I just bought that vacuum 2 weeks ago after TONS of research and so far I LOVE it! I still need to get a daily super quick one. My Swiffer works okay, but I need something more heavy duty. : /

  • @ratherbedancing3 Sad that we get so happy about a vacuum, isn't it? :)

  • great video. i hope you find something to get rid of carpet stains soon. when i went to college i had to figure out cleaning on my own and can't say i've done a great job =/ hahah

  • @blurose227 I have a great carpet stain remover-it's by Walmart and it's in the pet section. Check it out!

  • How have I lived without the stick vacuum? Seriously? I'm going to walmart tomorrow and then getting rid of my brooms that do a horrible job!

Oh and I just got the method floor cleaner for stone floors ( i bought a house with marble floors. Note to self NEVER get marble floors for a kitchen) and I have high hopes for the cleaner!

    Thanks Marnie!

  • @5995char Do you have travertine in the kitchen? Why don't you like it?

  • @lifewithgoldgirl the marble I inherited (don't think its travertine) is in bad shape in the kitchen and needs buffed and resealed. The previous owner rented this house out and never had the floor resealed to maintain it. So it looks dirty all the time no matter how much I clean. I'm getting quotes this week to see what it will $ to bring it back to life! I keep wondering what the previous renters did to make the tile look so bad!?? I just think its a high maintenance floor. Pretty though!

  • Great video! I was just thinking over the weekend of sending you a message about what you used for your stainless steel.

  • Great video Marnie! I use a lot of vinegar too. When I use it for cleaning glass I add a drop or two of dish liquid like dawn and I use newspaper instead of paper towels, something about the paper or ink really helps. Its very messy on your hands but leaves the glass sparkling. I use vinegar as a rinse agent in the dishwasher too and it sanitizer the dishwasher at the same time. Really helps water spots, 10 mule team borax is another good multi purpose cleaner! Thanks for the tips!! Peg~

  • @MemomMon Love Borax!

  • i wish Walmart still had your earings!!!

  • @kat8436 Don't they? I got them recently.

  • @lifewithgoldgirl Not at my Walmart :( But the Walmart closest to me doesn't have a very good jewelery selection. I just might have to take the drive to a different one!

  • Great video! Thanks for all the helpful tips. I love to clean with vinegar too. If you have hard water (like I do) it works great to dissolve that stuff. I use it on my shower head when it slows down, in the coffee maker, in the iron (full strength on the shower head but diluted on everything else). I read one of the comments below that wanted to know your cleaning routine..I would like to second the motion! How do you always have such a clean home. Thanks for all that you do.

    ~Susie~

  • @SusieQ1828 First of all, I don't film in a room that's messy. For all you know, it could be a disaster just out of camera range! :) I have hard water and I use vinegar for all those things-it's a miracle cure! I will do a video about my routine soon!

  • I love this new channel Marnie. Got any tips on how to keep the bathroom clean? every time i clean it the hubby destroys it in a matter of seconds, husbands can be so messy. hahaha.

  • @2ndWeekInMay Beat your husband-or get him to clean it!

  • You should try cornstarch and water to clean windows and glass. It cleans them very well and without the smell. Love the video by the way!!

  • @sparklyheart I have never heard of that-what an interesting combination!

  • I don't use paper towels much, instead I use those red mechanic shop towels, they work great, but wash them alone or they dye things pink

  • how d u keep your wood floors so very shiny???????? please share

btw, real or fake ones, the floors you have? i have the fake ones but i dont see any differ. when it comes to shiny wood floors. please, help

  • @itismebutterfly Ha-I've been asked whether they're real or fake, but never in reference to my floors! :) They are real wood. The shine is part of the finish. The fake wood floors never seem to have the shine that real wood floors have.

  • Method is amazing! Especially since they don't test on animals. :D

  • If you like citrus smells, try Bergamot essential oil (an orange essential oil).
