@jonzadamonza you obviously haven't played Rage, fallout isn't about the apocalypse its more about the people in the apocalypse while rage is more about the enviorment and about you surviving, in addition to that fallout's world is alot more ruined, there isn't even technology except for a few things that survived, also fallout is alot more morbid. Also not everybody who uses the post apocalyptic setting is copying off the first person that ever made a post apocalyptic setting.

People saying that Rage has copied themes from Fallout 3 or some other place, don't realize that these games are heavily influenced or rooted in the post-apocalyptic stories that have been written since the early 19th century, especially the ones written in the 1940's and 50's concerning nuclear weapons and the like, and then there's the Science Fiction movies and shows that followed. None of these themes are new, at all.

Fallout is an Role playing game, this is a first person shooter with a free roam world (kinda like stalker games). The reason that this looks better is probably because there is a lot of walls so easier to stream then a world where you can look till the horizon..

What i like it about RAGE and all games from Id Software is that is FPS, first person, because this make it real and more personal and not only a game, like the retro games in third person we always played and played since the 80s, also, you are not a super hero, so you should survive on hard environment, that is the key for the great success of all Id Soft. titles, this and the IdTech awesome 3D engine !!!

I think this game is coming out a couple of years too late, the graphics are already looking a little creaky, not the cutting edge you would expect for ID. Still graphics aren't really that important and I'm hoping this will be a great game.

Plotline in bothgames u start in the arch/vault
