I feel like the skiing could be more intense as it seems like a major gameplay mechanic. I'd imagine screen blur effects and shit wouldn't go down well due to the whole skill base thing, but what about leaving scorch/skid marks whever you ski until the map is completely scarred with marks everywhere lol?

I would like to point out that bf3 being relatively slow helps it (in my opinion)

if bf3 was a fast moving game then i don't think that it would be a proper team game anymore and being a team game is what makes bf3 so good. Also when you are on a 64 player game on PC it is really not passive while still being a team game

Continuing on with your comment about lack of info on the class screen; I just went to their website to try download the game and was met with some immediate disappointment. There is a shitty video, a sign up button and a download button. What OSes does it run on? What specs do I need? What's the pricing like? Who fucking knows.

I just got into beta, one question dude. How is that Counter Strike is a slow game when it's faster than Tribes Ascend by a mile? Sure it's a skill based shooter, but in exception for skiing whitch can be vey fast everything else is quite slow: on foot movement is a crawl, guns are slow and only some of them are hit scans...

I agree with a lot in this video, but the comparisons to MW3/BF3 are a bit off. I don't care for MW3, but I wouldn't call it a slow game. It's slower than this, but not slow. BF3 is slow, but it's in no way "passive", like this guy says. When I play BF3 with a squad (as it's meant to be played), we are constantly engaging enemies/objectives. Anyways, this game looks like a lot of fun and might be a great break away from BF3 which is completely different.
