@nando148 It's actually pretty good. It really isn't as slow as this guy posted it to be. He was probably using an emulator, so it got slowed down.

It's pretty good, but if you want the best Hajime no Ippo game, look no further than Hajime no Ippo: The Fighting! for the Gameboy Advance.

Meh the GBA version looks and plays a whole lot better.

This is a very good game, it isnt slow as the video shows, I know that playing with buttons is easier but the touch-screen style is very good, you dont have to smash the buttons like crazy, instead you have to learn how to link moves to create devastating combos. I dont know why does the video have a crappy framerate, maybe its an emulator anda thats why it looks slow.

Yes it is a good game. But if you've seen the anime. There's just so much more to it than just generic fighting as played in the game. It's just a good boxing game, not a good Hajime no Ippo boxing game if you catch my point.

About the framerate, the ingame framerate is at around 60fps. When converting it to a standard movie format, it uses 24fps. Which is almost 3 times as less as the real ingame framerate, which results in some 'choppiness'.

You are right about what this game has to offer in comparison to the anime, but I had been looking for a decent Boxing game and this is a good one, maybe when the second season begin we can expect another Hajime no Ippo game with some of the characteristics we expect from the this game.
