the origianall arthur and terry was the best team as most originall things are but when ray came inn i still thought it was great...ray was a good character and think he relly cared for and looked up to arthur...the one on 5 with shane ritchie was an insult to the show and should never have been graced with the minder name.

You can see that Waterman and Cole had a great rapport and true respect for one another. Chemistry like that is rare gift in TV shows and is sadly missed. Not forgetting the other great characters like Dave and Chisholm.

Remember being none too enamoured with the show during the later Gary Webster period (the inclusion of a dreary film score, and lack of chemistry between the two main protagonists coming to mind), but this pales compared to the prospect of Shane Ritchie assuming the role of one of tv's greatest ever icons. Minder will always be about George Cole and Dennis Waterman, and of a vibrant, colourful London which is sadly no more. Pleeeaase Channel 5, spare us from broadcasting this travesty.
