  • I wouldn't suggest you put essential oils in it if you have sensitive skin or in general because it can be pretty concentrated.I use a non-generic Extra Virgin Olive Oil to remove eye make up and have sensitive skin so I would think it'd be okay to use something like that if you don't have almond oil or something like that around. It seems like the scrub and the oil would take care of exfoliation and moisturizing at the same time so that's awesome. I would use organic cocoa powder though.

  • Coco, coffee, almond oil; they worked so good <3

  • is chocolate powder okay for a subsitude for coco?

  • With the Oat Meal exfoliator do you just use whole oats?

  • is it okay for oily skin since there is oil in the scrub ?

  • I tried the coffee and cocoa scub...

    IM IN LOVE!!

I gave it to my guy friend to try, and he fell in love with it too:)

  • how can I get Thicker face skin?

  • ..me and my frend have a erge to make a chocolate facial!!

  • I want to make a lot of it at once, but for how long can i store it, and where should i store it?

  • i made one with 2 tsp almond extract one egg white and 1/2 cup of sugar

  • THANK YOU! Right now I'm paranoid so I wanted to make a facial! And now I can!!!

  • blooooop!

  • @ Statuskuo75.... hhahahaha :) That made me laugh

  • ba-loop

  • this help great with acne or unwanted black heads

  • Can I make a jar of it and store it? How long?

  • Didn't work for me :( All the coffee grind clumped together and hardened.

  • @ClaireDuLune11 It may have been ground too fine. I'm about to try it myself - I'll let you know how it turns out!

  • @ClaireDuLune11 Okay, just got done and have some advice. 1) Stand on a towel - it's messy! 2) Try to get the grind about medium - larger bits are too rough and hurt, but if it's too fine it won't scrub 3) Have someone ready to turn on the water for you, lol. I used vegetable glycerine in mine and I'm pleased with the results, but there is some pain from my learning curve with the large shards of coffee beans. Give it another try. 8)

  • :) I really like how she didn't seem fake.

If you know what I mean.

  • are these scrubs good for people with thin skin?

  • wow your my hero

    rock on

  • can you use canola oil?

  • @babyL1999 You Could, but there are so many good oils out there. I like almond oil myself. Avocado oil for older skin, jojoba for softening, apricot is good for any skin. I would avoid the olive, personally, because it tends to be Too oily. Toss a little vitamin E oil in there for smoothing the skin. Hit up the health food store or an herb shop and have fun looking at the descriptions of what all the oils are beneficial for - or Google oil for skin if you don't fancy a shopping trip.

  • if u say it works then y dont u demiintstrait for us

  • @puppylover8896 I agree I use baby oil on my face everyday insead of mousterizer and it works so much better..it also got rid of my acne

  • Why would baby oil be to harmful? U use it on baby's skin.. and there skin in sensitive.

  • @puppylover8896

Baby Oil contains mineral/Paraffin Oil and according to Aromatherapy - Paraffin does not penetrate into the skin. It blocks the pores through which the skin breathe. Whereas Jojoba / Hohoba Oil ( actually it is a waxy ester from Jojoba Seeds) is the most penetrating oil and it can open all the blocked pores of the skin. One may use any non refined vegetable oils - they are good for skin. But remember never use mineral/paraffin oil based products for the skin.

  • we can do with some sugar and honey and you're good to go! All this is much better, though

  • Would vegetable oil work ?

  • you look just like Anne Hathaway

  • @videogurls98 i was thinking jodie foster

  • can you use flavored oatmeal like strawberrys and cream something like that

  • -gloop!-

  • Can I use vegtable oil? Plz message me too!

  • Could i use Vegetable oil and Sea-salt?? Ive just been wondering for a long time... Someone plz comment back or leave a comment on my channel or message me plz :)

  • @JayjayJustify

Sugar and olive oil would be bettter, but i think you can do it with salt :)

  • wow ...this works beautifully :D

  • could i use vitamin c oil?

  • @ulyssesislava1 Vitamin C oil would be good. Oils that are commonly used in skincare products like almond oil, avocado oil, vitamin E oil.... the list goes on. Vitamin E oil though is my personal favorite. It helped my scars fade a little, so if you have any facial scarring, vitamin E oil may be the way to go.

  • hello beautiful!

If I want to do large quantities, how can I keep it fresh? refrigeration, preservatives?

Do you have any recipe how to make creams? Thanks

  • Why would you put oil in it when oils supposed to cklog your pores and cause Pimples?

  • @FlyBackToYourHome The reason skin creates its own oil is because it is not nourished properly, so you need to help in order to prevent residue.

  • YOU SHOULDNT PUT OIL ON YOUR FACE YOUR SUPPOSE TO STAY AWAY FROM OIL!

  • @natalie501 oil is ok for the skin, just dont use the fatty kind. olive oil is perfect.

  • @natalie501 No, the kind of oil used in scrubs and cleansers is different to the oil our skin produces. Doesn't mean we have to stay away from all oils, just the unhealthy ones :-)

  • @natalie501 Certian oils un-clog your pores!

  • i love her personality

  • she is soooooooooooooooooooo pretttyyyyyy

    bless her

  • Thank you for posting this!

    Its amazing!

It works even better if after you put egg whites on your face for 20 min. and then the yolk for 20min.

Its amazing! My face feels and looks great :D :D :D

  • How long will it last in a jar? I want to make some for friends as holiday gifts.

  • wait... why would baby oil be harmful?

  • @whalewatcher321 clogs pores which causes more acne and other skin irritations and it is a synthetic oil

  • @whalewatcher321 Baby oil contains mineral oil which is a petroleum byproduct. Look it up yourself for confirmation.

  • @whalewatcher321 Baby oil contains mineral oil which is a byproduct of petroleum distillate. Look it up yourself for confirmation.

  • @whalewatcher321 In addition to what the other commenter said about the petroleum ...If you're in a lot of direct sunlight i can be terrible for your skin cells, it intensifies it.

  • @whalewatcher321 Mineral oil which is basically what baby oil is tends to clog the pores.

  • @whalewatcher321 because baby oil isn't made from the nature, olive oil is really organic and natural and baby oil isn't

  • @whalewatcher321 Baby oil isn't a natural oil.

  • I have issues with really dry spots on my face and it was becoming rather expensive with scrubs. The coffee/cocoa one is wonderful and leaves my face soft and smooth. I use it before I shower, as the coffee leaves my face a bit brown.

  • what can you use in stead of cocoa?

  • @MrSamandjane

    Try baking soda :)

  • Comment removed

  • Omg thank you! This worked amazingly! My face deals 100x softer :D

  • Can you use remains of ground coffee after doing an expresso?

Can you use products made of coca powder + sugar typically for kids to drink with milk?

  • @MarcianitoRajoy Sure! Sugar doesn't harm your face at all, if anything it could add more of a gritty feel to it to exfoliate your skin.

Another thing you could do is use half of a tomato and dip it in sugar/water paste and scrub your face with it. The chemicals in the tomato are REALLY good for your skin. :)

  • Keeley, how often should one exfoliate using the above scrub to prevent from drying out? Once a week? Every other day? Thanks for the videos!!!

  • do u have to use one time like u can keep it maybe somewhere to use it for another day?? thx :D

  • And btw I prolly wouldve used honey, but since I didn't have any I had to use oil. But I do have a question- does it make a difference if u use canola oil instead of olive oil???

  • Wow I like this! My skin feels very soft!! It's only been a few seconds since I've take n it off, though, so o hope my pores don't get clogged, and I start breaking out!

  • nice

  • are these faical scrubs sutible for oily skin or dry skin?

  • why is baby oil harmful? :)

  • @TheExtralicious it will clog your pores

  • This is amazing! I have used it twice and both times my skin is glowing and doesn't make it brown!!

  • Anyone know if used coffee grounds are just as effective as unused?

  • Caffeine is produced and excreted by the liver when you drink and process coffee internally. The ground coffee has oils and is also the substance to adhere things to in this product.

  • whats lavender? do you put that on food?

  • @pooh1675658 no its a flower :P x

  • @pooh1675658 it's a essential oil from the plant, the lavender flower.

  • Thanks! I will try this and its also made from common household ingredients! x

  • I'm actually surprised that it wasn't mentioned what type of oil should be used. Oil IS great for the skin, but it's important to use only non-refined oil. Using refined oil can do only damage. So be careful choosing the right one - I'd personally go for Organic extra virgin olive oil :)

  • @mileacross she said it at the beginning.

  • @mileacross i'de go with olive, coconut, hempseed, geranium, lavender, lemon, grapefruit, rosehip, jojobo, almond, palm red, cinnamon, etc.

  • simply all you have to do is look up rices and their benifits find the rice that fits what you want then put rice in hot hot water for a few minutes until the water is foggy dont cook the rice then strain the rice out n put the water in a container and use it like that. Its really easy and mix it with the coffe mixture thing or u can use it alone i do both its a great toner.

  • i also used rice water it worked like a charm my face feels great so try it if u need to know how to make rice water please respond :)

  • how do you do it ?

  • oil is a pretty good skincleaner, i use oily makeup remover for mascara and longlasting lipstick. works fine.

  • actually to the comment above, is coffee stimulates circulation and plumps up the skin, reducing wrinkles. So caffeine in the scrub is not a bad thing

  • i use honey instead of oil as oil is too greasy for mee

  • can you substitute oil with honey?

  • @superjunior2008 honey is actually better, it helps with scars, healing the skin

  • ill skip out on the lavender :L

it smells discusting, makes me feel sick!

    cool videos ;D

  • @distantdreamerx lavender essential oil is not only for the scent but it also heals scars, acne , acne scars, dry skin, combination skin, oily, skin, etc

  • you should use EXTRA virgin olive oil.

  • doesn't oil clog ur pores???

  • olive oil un-clogs your pores and removes dirt, oil, and makeup wonderfully

  • I have combination skin I wonder if I can replace oil with something else, oil on oily face I really don't feel comfy with dat option :(

  • ive been told to never ever use oil in a face scrub so wats ur opinon on that?

and wat happens if u use milk in stad of oil.

  • Coffee is great for the skin! my skin looks and feels rejuvenated! I think the caffeine in it wakes the skin up.

  • oat meal not oak meal

  • yeah i hate it too

  • whats oak-meal?

  • how long do u leave those stuff on for?

  • I used this and now my face is brown :(

  • I'd say you'd have had to leave it on an awful long time to actually "dye" your skin. :-P

  • Ohdear.

  • @greenlightblackwall um is that bad?

  • @greenlightblackwall LOL! Sorry was too cute not to comment. Rub lemon on your face :P

  • @greenlightblackwall lolsssss

  • @greenlightblackwall which one

  • @greenlightblackwall does that mean this doesnt work at all then??

  • @greenlightblackwall hahahah that made my day!

  • I make my own too : natural raw honey, sea salt, the honey makes the skin soft and the seasalt exfoliates while putting minerals back into your skin.

  • thats what i do too.,,i just add aloe vera

  • what raw honey? and where can i get it?

  • You can buy Raw honey from places like whole foods market, Trader joes or any of the organic specialty shops in your area.

  • Oh ok.... thank you for reply.

  • is it okay to put on the face?

  • OMG THIS IS SOOOO GREATTTTTT!!!

  • very good. thanks so much. my face felt so soft after using the coffee, cocoa and oil one (:

  • A very nice and helpful video!!!!

  • OMG i think she looks like Britney Spears

  • Im glad I read your comment. I was just about to try this !

  • do you no of any other good exfoliaters

  • do you no of any other good exfoliaters

  • i would recommend as a good exfoliater:

    lemon or lime - cleanser

(cleans the oil and dirt from your pores)

    olive oil - mositurizer

(softens & keeps skin looking fresh)

    sugar - scrub and exfoliater

(removes dead skin cells that clog pores)

    honey - mask

(tones & keeps your skin firm & vibrant)

its an all in one! please try this and let me know what you think. I would also recommend this for acne sufferers & people with acne prone skin because honey is a very good antibacterial

  • thanks ALOT for the recommendation. it works really look & made my skin feel really soft. (=

  • your welcome and I'm glad I could help someone!! x

Good luck in future with your (soft) skin

  • Very comforting speaker. Great content. Natural is the way to go for sure. Thankyou!
