Dont think he wanted to lose his accent, he left Scotland ages ago, being everywhere, specially in USA and now currently living in Italy, sometimes the scottish accent changes because people dont understand and they get fed up and just fit to make themselves more compreenhensive, dont know Jim personally but dont think money would change him otherwise he would have all plastic surgery he could to keep looking young.
