  • I have a bootleg with the slower version - I like both versions oddly enough ...

  • Comment removed

  • hope they do this on the reunion

  • @vagabondrecon: Reunion? Both Bruce Palmer and Dewey Martin are gone.

  • @MattHatter They reunited in October at Bridge ...

  • @wizardwarriordrone: Yeah I saw that right after I made that comment to the other guy.

  • @MattHatter Rumor they may tour in 2011

  • Wow! Neil's guitar is smoking!

  • Is this 1st album era?

  • The Springfields record company ATCO should have been released this as a single. This kicks some serious ass especially during the middle guitar break when Neil absolutely goes for it with his now signature guitar riffs. Although i didn't come of age during the late 60's (i first heard them about 10 years after they broke up) they were definitely much more than "For What It's Worth" and were better than CSN (Y) who imho was a watered version of Buffalo Springfield.

  • Great song! Heard it first on the STAMPEDE bootleg, and am glad a far superior mix came out on the boxed set. Neil plays quite the scorching lead here, and the harmonies are great as well. Thanks for posting this rarity from a hugely talented but short-lived group!

  • Infant Buffalo and yet zo mature. Not yet that incredible dreamy psychedelic atmosphere, bu really nice rock en very good singin... THANK you very much foor posting this jewel.

  • i want lsd and a VW now!

  • Shows how much is laying around in the can or some warehouse in Bufu, never to grace anybody's ears.

  • these fools are obviously sentinels

  • Another song that was on the Stampede bootleg I purchased in the mid 90s, good song.

  • Love Neil's three note solos.

  • I can listen to them for hours lol

  • Another jewel that you've posted, MissP, thank you! I hadn't heard this before and it gave me a Strawberry Alarm Clock type blast.

  • Re: your comment on the demo version, that we've only as old as the song we're listening to. . .then I'm. . .oh damn, I'm as old as I am even when I'm NOT listening to music.

  • LOL.. Wish I were older - than at least I'd have a good excuse for my short term memory loss and aching bones!

  • You ain't seen nothin' yet, honey! I look at recent photos of the guys in Buffalo Springfield, and think, "man, they sure got OLD." Then, of course, I pass a mirror, and. . .wait a minute! Uh-oh!"

  • @TruiteCoquine I was so much older then, I'm younger than that now...

  • It's great to see how a demo turned into the studio version. Thanks for putting these up.

  • I'm just pleased many more are able to hear these and they are great!

  • Wow, what a difference between the demo and the studio versions. This is really really good. They were such a great band. -Ron

  • Hey Ron..
