Hello there, I am interested in one of these cameras but one question though can the fx1000 be used to shoot professional music videos. I hope yes, if not what do you recommend, please I need your urgent reply. thank you.
lmfao guys, I can get the hdr fx1000 for a fraction of the price. My dad works for sony so when they take this off display they sell to sony workers for half off, which is 1600 PLUS his 500 dollar discount....WIN.
how does this camera compare to the Panasonic HMC-150? im looking into buying a camera and i used the fx1000 on a shoot.. now just checking my options..
wow very good review, i ordered the fx1000 a couple of days ago. Nice reassurance that image quality is the same. can't fork over for the z5u, too bad fx1000 doesn't have xlr adapters, kind of expected since its the prosumer sister, i'll just go with an audio adapter like beach teks. the DXA-4 is 200 and dxa-6a is 300.
am thinking about getting a sony z5u.... I want to know if this rolling sutter problem will be apparent when filming a wedding reception. DJ's use strobe lights and want to know if this will cause a problem... If anyone can.... please post a video using a camera with cmos technology during a reception with strobe lights.. I would greatly appreciate any info!!!
z5 is the best HDVcam sony ever made and i believe it will be the last HDV prosumer cam sony made,i thought i am gonna end up with z5 but since i get the latest information i changed my mind.
I'm wondering if I can use my non-XLR Azden wireless rcvr with a mini jack so it would connect to one of the Z5U's XLR connectors. I have a stereo mini-plug for the receiver connected via a cable to a male XLR connector.on the other end for the Z5U's XLR input. I tried that setup with another camcorder with a Signvideo switcher with no problem. I want to continue using my Azden receiver for the time being. Any suggestions?
This is almost the sort of thing I've been waiting for - but why oh why do these pro cameras rely on tape as the main storage? Why can't they come with the compact flash card (or better yet SD) and let tape by the option?
has anyone seen the new canon EOS 5d mark ii? I was all decided to get the HDR fx1000 and now i'm told that this new canon technology allows you to do high def stills and videos. anyone have any thoughts here?
Should I get a Sony HVR-V1U or an Sony HVR-Z5U

@Iliescuvalentin: yes but u need upgrade to 50fps (which can only be done at sony factory) for use in most parts of europe due to voltage differences

Look into the juiced link XLR preamps. First model starts at under $200 and it's honestly worth it. My opinion, much better than beach tek.
