Oh, it has its uses. Particularly in the ROM hack, "Rockman 2 Endless".  But it's pretty useless against the bosses, and blasting him with the buster is more fun for me besides.

@McGack1 Vice-versa, but yes. Mega Man 2 was dumbed down for American audiences for whatever reason, but they at least left in Difficult Mode for those of us who want a challenge.

Good job. The ol' brute force does the trick. At 2:15 I always abuse the pause screen trick. Always. Rockman 2 isn't actually harder; it just doesn't have the "Normal" mode from Mega Man 2. MM2's Difficult is RM2's Normal. So there's no actual difficulty change between the games other than an easier one in MM2.

Airman is a bit hard with just the arm cannon.

But not that hard in some cases because sometimes you'll die because he'll throw tornados at you in a weird pattern. If you manage to get one tornado at you, jump over it and fire away.

Anyway, In the original Japanese Megaman 2, Airman is supposedly very tough to beat, I say supposedly because I never played the Japanese version, before they sent out the NA versions, they dumbed down his AI and reduced his damage intake capacity. In turn, making American Airman a pansy.

Well, the song was more than likely based on childhood experiences rather than the experience of someone who's played the game hundreds of times. I'm not sure Airman gave me any more trouble than anyone else (actually, MY "I can't beat!" would probably be Woodman. Just like the second part of this song!), but I know I couldn't beat the bosses without a whole lot of practice. Rockman 9 is STILL giving me problems... D:

Let me explain for the people who say "LOL AIRMAN IS EZ!!!" The song was created by some people in Japan, and in the Japanese version of Megaman 2(Rockman 2) what we know as the "Difficult" setting, was the ONLY difficulty in the Japanese version. THAT's why Airman "can't be defeated".

if you play Megaman 2 in Difficult is the same as playing the original Rockman 2 only thats in english. Is just that most people havent played Megaman 2 in dificult and think that the japanese version is therefore harder.

I'm very mixed about Rockman 9, myself... I'm happy it won't connect the "classic" series with the "X" series (according to some sources I read), but it seems like such a cop-out that they'd go "Famicom, Super Famicom, Saturn/PS-X, FAMICOM" in style. Yes, I know graphics don't make the game (which is why I prefer older games to these newer ones that get their "Oohs" and "Aahs" via graphics), but still. Something seems a bit off... Inafune gets what Inafune wants, though.
