I find it funny how herbals are called useless and don't work, BUT they also play fiddle that says they can be dangerous to you. Well, which is it? Dope then says how cancer patients nearly lost their life to alternative remedies. Most all people with cancer die, number one. Two, look at the cure rate of cancer between Dr. Bruzynski and the NIH. He's FAR more curative and successful. I also like how he doesn't mention the statistics of people killed yearly by big pharms drugs.

Ive taken LSD and although it is a hallucinagen I am aware of my surroundings. They just seem more amplified and you are more aware of the spectrum of objects and sounds around you than you would be otherwise. And for Dr. Knope to say that it is irresponsible to practice your own treatments is just another way of saying " I know what is good for you and you don't." Its a scare tactic. He is trying to discredit a great doctor. Perhaps he Dr. Knope is a plant to do just that.

Knope merely took exception to the ridiculousness of Weil's argument! His experience with LSD wasn't a study at all, it was an exercise in self-delusion. In order to test LSD's effectiveness against allergies, you'd need a biochemical theory describing how the LSD affects the body to remove the allergy, and a large clinical trial testing it against placebo. It's not surprising at all that he was ridiculed for making the assumptions he did based on no scientific evidence whatsoever.

It put him in a positive psychological state in which the allergy was "unlearned", a result also frequently seen in hypnosis. Dr. Humphrey Osmond treated hundreds of alcoholics successfully with LSD in the 50's, proving its medical utility. SSRI antidepressants on the other hand have been shown conclusively to be no more effective than placebo, yet they are enthusiastically doled out like candy.

Hello, People die from cancer. Most of them get conventional treatment and still die. There are many cases documented of people changing there diet, Ayruveda, chinese herds etc who are now more healthy then before their dis-ease. Isn't that proof enough? Try going head to head with Deepak Chopra who has cured manythrough his approach many people, is that proof enough. My family for a combined 31 years never go to doctors we use alt med and therapy, is that proof?

A major research institution that does heart, liver, lung transplants--and they allow a non-board certified physician, who NEVER did a residency (only an internship) have privileges at their institution. If you are going to debate someone it's best to do a little homework on the person. A 5 minute search reveals Dr. Weil recommends food as the best source of vitamins. And that he doesn't use personal illegal drug experiences to help patients. Sort of like scientist's leaving there religious faith at home when doing scientific experiments.
