  • A Neil Diamond song, well done.

  • damn! Look at the haircut of that piano guy!

  • Not the best Waylon song, but seeing things like this is rare as can be so I love it!

  • Im 30 years old... I saw Willie on Larry King Live a few months ago and it woke me up to how beautiful country music can be... I recently got into Waylons music.... This guy was a true legend! I wish I appreciated this genre much earlier!!! I have become fascinated by the Highwaymen!!!! Musics execs should be ashamed by the "talent" they make mainstraam and more shameful = the graceful singers they reject!!!

  • @DrVegasIII I been listnen to Waylon since I was 7 or 8...and Im 50 now..

And as far as what shit comes outa Trashville these days it makes me wanna puke..I wont allow the pop-country to be played in my house, Id rather be dead...

  • @bandit289 Know what you n I'm 52 and grew up with the good old stuff. I won't alow pop-country in my house either.

  • @DrVegasIII Just fantastic to hear that young people also hears the good music that was made back then...god bless you

  • Man, he was a beauty!

  • His backing vocalist looks kind of like Will Ferrell lol

  • miss him....

  • How hot was he !!

  • I love ol' Waylon but this is weak. I'm guessing the song is new to him. Anyway, another of Neil Diamonds great one's is a song called "Solitary Man". Look it up.

  • @tomthefunky Weak... ? You just don't get it boy.

  • Comparin these singers and musicians to todays music everybody with half of a brain will recognize the incredible difference in musical and lyrical quality. As well I find shockin how superficial todays music business has become..it´s hardly about voice & quality of sound anymore but about how high you wear your skirt....

  • Waylon Jennings "Kentucky Woman" - Hee-Haw, Season 2, Episode 13 Aired: December 15, 1970

  • the way he stopped n started again... kentucky woman!!! oh yeah nobody else could do that

  • Must have made Neil Diamond proud he wrote it.

  • wow this is a great cover ... i have always loved waylons music but i have never heard this before thank you so much to whom posted this video!!

  • If Bruce is"The Boss", Waylon is God.

  • This was from 69 on Hee Haw with Kelso Herston producing the music on the show. Awesome stuff for sure!

  • She gots to own you, The organ is great!

  • lord it is so strange seeing waylon looking all sqeaky clean. that just ain't

    lol

  • Is This From Hee Haw You Think. Please Answer

  • Yes.

  • Top five all time: Willie, Hank, Merle, George and Waylon.

  • This looks like the set of Hee Haw in the 1970's.

  • The best live entertainer! thx for sharing!

  • this is the best stuff ever

  • I saw Waylon in concert about 15 years ago. Best concert I've seen before or since... amazing rapport with the audience, what a phenomenal entertainer!!

  • This is absolutley horrible compared to the way Neil Dimond originally played it.

  • Get a clue! As Waylon once said: "I won't record a song that I'll not be able to sing at every concert for the rest of my life".

  • An all time classic, beautifully delivered!Tnx

  • Love the Hammond. Love the velour suits. Love some of the awfulness of the stage set - the huge collar Waylon has. Love the drum fill crescendo after the first bridge. So crisp. Turn it up! Anyway, I think this is really good stuff - I'm a huge fan of early Waylon. I think he looked down on this part of his career, but I think he wasn't just satisfied with being a huge country star, he really had a statement. But regardless, I think this is fantastic - Neil Diamond could write a tune.

  • I love this comment ocduff! I like the early Way stuff too. He just wanted to do other things and the 70's were ready for it. I think it was more Richie's idea to be rock and roll. And wow did it work!

  • I'm so glad he let go and moved past this bullshit It never suite the dood!

  • This "shite" is what made his music different from everyone else's. His background in 50s rock and roll affected every song he ever did, and made him who he was later on.

  • @andy16666 He was and still is in a class by himself. Just like Orbison, Waylon has a voice and a style that is one of a kind. You're absolutely right about the influence of his Rock and Roll background. He was one of Buddy Holly's Crickets. Just missed that ill-fated plane ride.

  • @andy16666 Well country is the foundation of rock and roll

  • Great song! Thanks for posting.

  • Thanks for the video.Being a Kentucky woman myself I can appreciate this song.

  • Is it true what they say -about Kentucky women???Wink Wink!

  • Waylon could interpret songs like no one else. He made them his own. He did the same with Gentle on My Mind, Sweet Caroline, Music Man and many others.

  • One of a kind, man! Thanks for posting-

  • Great! Thanks for posting. It was posted once, and then dissapeared. Thanks so much for putting it back on.

  • thx this is great!!!
