  • i dont know what USA act like they must rescue the World.

  • As far as Evolution goes...Who knows where "nature" will take humans or any other life form on this planet. However, we have already begun to change ourselves through genetics. As time rolls on we will develope new propulsion systems that will allow us to explore our solar system and beyond. Not to mention all the little advancements we see each year in terms of technology & medicine.

  • Look I agree "kinda" with what you have said...Those who think the way you do are not spending hundreds of millions of dollars trying to prevent others from having the same rights as the majority; teaching children we humans walked the earth with dinosaurs 6000yrs ago; science is bad; etc...However, to say we are as advanced (Evolution or Technology) as we are going to get is absurd to say the least! No one really knows about Evolution but Technology is moving forward at break neck speed!

  • "From 1970 to 1998 when aid flowed into Africa, poverty rose from 11% to 66%.!

Well no kidding. "aid" doesn't help countries. "Aid" has never helped anyone. Do you think China grows rapidly because of foreign "aid"?

  • There is no such thing as 'aid'. Studies have shown that 90% of US foreign aid actually goes back to US corporations. Then they take over their commodities by mass privatisation. The IMF and World Bank perpetuate this bullshit, they are scum.

  • Halliburton and friends. It's the wolf disguised as little red riding hood again. American gov't is the latter, you know who the former is. American capitalists never invest unless they make a substantial gain in return. They're operating out of China now as they look for tax and profit havens.

  • Nothing but anti-american liberal propaganda...

    NOT!

  • IMF is not the solution it is the problem , Africa does not need help it needs to be left alone , this paternalistic approach to Africa ruined it , leave it rise on its feet and walk , let it count on itself and find its own way , enough of this false charity and these poisonous aides

  • Yeah, Bush did it. He threw the world into a financail crisis, but who was controlling Bush. Really, lets not forget about the controversy surrounding Bush's first Pres. win. Also, don't forget about Greenspan and the sh*t he started. No, when you look at the USA dont count out sabatoge by other countries. It may seem that Bush is responsible for a lot, but lets not overlook other powerhouse countries like France, and Britian.

  • Sturmpionier04, if you really believe in ethnic cleansing, go look in the mirror, because you know deep down, you aren't worth the air you breathe...

you satanic godless judgemental animal, go get your flu shot,

  • Who would make your clothes?

  • The Bible is a valuable historic book as is the Quran and all other mythological writings. However, people are trying to teach humans walked with dinosaurs 600yrs ago and that science is bad!

Could you picture what our world would be like if these people got their way?

The new wave of medicine based on genetics comes from the vast amount of knowledge gained from our firm understanding of evolution. Evolution is not a religion it is science fact as is the earth is not flat.

  • I am simply stating what people believe...When it is said out loud the mythology of it is clear. What bothers me is many people use the Bible as something to hide behind as they spread hate toward women and other groups the Bible says are abominations and should be killed.

Seriously, this is the 21st century it is time to let go of Bronze Age myths and start caring for our fellow humanbeings.

Not to mention the attack on science and medicine by religious people.

  • wrong

  • As an addendum to my previous comment, let me say that I am not blaming AJE for the vacuous content. They just report the news, they don't make it. And the technical values of the program are good to very good.

And Jane Dutton is truly a joy to watch and listen to. A consummate professional, her voice and accent are in that clear medium range that can easily be understood from Glasgow to Fremantle to Jo'burg.

  • IMF is evil. on purpose keep poor countries poorer by getting them into more debt, and not letting them utilize their natural resources and farm land.

  • Ms Dutton does her usual impeccable job here, but the writers of this script are far less talented.

The basic problem with this sort of show is that they have a bunch of rich people talking about the problems of the poor.

Look at Strauss-Kahn, look at Bredenkamp, look at Collier. When do you think was the last time any of them had Top Ramen for dinner? When do you think was the last time they worried about paying the electric bill?

Everything they say is, by definition, bullshit.

  • Financial meltdown TM

    Sponsored by the Illuminati.

  • Grow up! LOL!

  • Food, houses, jobs, communication (phones & internet) and education are what is needed. If we focused on (and tied aid to) these five items the poor (in Africa and North America) would benefit tremendously. it would put many recently unemployed people back to work also--and create a demand for the thousands of foreclosed homes in the US.

  • fuck the imf indeed.

  • because it is and if you watched the news then you wouldn't make such ill informed comments.

  • Just keep blaming it on the States. It seems to be everyone's favorite hobby these days.

  • It'd be nice if they would blame the powerful globalists instead of the US or the west. Those bastards have screwed all of us over.

  • well there is a reason for that

  • Thank you for proving my point. Have a nice day.

  • well im just curious, Id like to see your point of view. Where do you think this crisis started, what factors led up to it and who is responsible?

  • when ego is allowed to dominate, self-concern becomes the way... When ones existence is based around ego, self-interests are valued over shared interests... which is the breeding ground of a greedy mentality... And so naturally those individuals caught in that state of mind make decisions based on that fundamental premise i.e. ego / self interests comes first ...... Therefore it's only natural that you end up with imbalances that the economic, social, and ecological levels

  • I totally agree with you, human nature is at its very basic is selfish. But human nature can be controlled, thats why someone doesnt walk into your house and take your computer from your desk this very moment.

There are a system of laws in place to protect your private property. The system of laws in the US to federally regulate derivatives was loosened first under Clinton then Bush, and then Greedy Bankers did the rest.

  • Its easy to blame human nature on our problems, but when i come home and someone broke the lamp i dont blame human nature i go for the culprits.

and that is what everyone one is doing when they blame the US.

  • But how do u make the distinction between the culprit and the culprits actions or behavior?

  • I mean, how do you distinguish between the culprit and the nature (i.e. conditioning) of that culprit?

  • Yes, it can be controlled, but only to a certain degree. B/c as you are aware, we've had laws for a very long time now, and even tho we keep introducing new laws, people continue to violate them.. so bringing in new laws is not solving the problem, b/c the way i see it, the problem is with the way society is conditioned.. this kind of conditioning or indoctrinating is conducive to egotistical behavior and decision making.

  • The only way the "donors' will "rise to the challenge and provide the financing needed" is if they can get a return on investment ....

And what is that return on investment going to be when these people have no money?.... it's going to be their sovereignty.. their land.. their resources.....the "international elitist community" will essentially force them to sell their assets at rock bottom prices in return for helping them out of economic crisis...

  • Saudi Arabia and Iran should be able to pony up here. Maybe Iran could divert some funds from terrorist rockets to help feed their Muslim brothers in Africa.

  • Unfortunately, Saudi is dealing with their own major credit crisis and construction stagnation. But yes, there is still more than enough $ to help out with a humanitarian crisis in Africa and elsewhere in the Middle East.

  • Forget about Iran, you haven't seen the US's military budget lol

  • FUCK the IMF!
