there is no proof against kosminski. he wasnt arrested & was admitted to an asylum in 1889 by his brother. He was never connected to any of the crimes. Mcnaughton listed kosminski as a suspect with druit & ostrog in his memoirs but he didnt join the force until 1889 AFTER the murders! police top brass were embarrassed that they had failed to catch the ripper & so tried to pin it on a jew years after. swanson and anderson hadnt got a clue - they were trying to save their professional reputations.
It makes for a good movie though, even if it's not based on fact. It could be possible that the brutal murder on Mary Kelly was the full thrill he wished to gain, but did not have to oppertunity to do so in the previous killings due to the fact that they were outdoors. Maybe he thought that after her murder, his sick wish was fulfilled and did not have any further reason to kill again.

1) He had a documented hatred of women

3) Witness accounts have proven to be dubious, a point made earlier in this documentary. Therefore their descriptions must be taken with a grain of salt.

there is no proof against kosminski. he wasnt arrested & was admitted to an asylum in 1889 by his brother. He was never connected to any of the crimes. Mcnaughton listed kosminski as a suspect with druit & ostrog in his memoirs but he didnt join the force until 1889 AFTER the murders! police top brass were embarrassed that they had failed to catch the ripper & so tried to pin it on a jew years after. swanson and anderson hadnt got a clue - they were trying to save their professional reputations.

It makes for a good movie though, even if it's not based on fact. If you buy the DVD they have a documentary in the special features that basically says the movie is not based on any accepted Ripper theories, but they do give most the accepted theories. I liked the movie! Johnny Depp & Heather Graham we're great!

First, the Illuminati are a strictly pseudo-Christian group and, although they *may* have had a Jewish member, in theory, I cannot say that there'd ever be a strong attraction in the Jewish community to join up. how many members of the press do you think would be able to surgically open a human body in complete darkness and remove specific organs almost perfectly in 1888? also, your figures are skewed, the million copies weren't all sold while the murders were occuring. the majority of those were years after the events once the killer had a mystique, and therefore the initial press members would not have even made a profit from the sales.
