Also, just because something is unknown, doesn't mean a god must have done it. We didn't know germs existed years ago and many assumed it was a punishment from the gods. We now now that the spread of disease has nothing to do with a god.
Would it be possible to write something in Arabic that was "free verse," or had no rhythm, so it wouldn't have a ryhthm to copy in the first place?

Interesting challenge. I do like that you said that would change your mind. Most people would never say that, so I applaud you. Saddly, most people don't know both that language, have rythmic decoding skills, and are so against the religion to take up that challange. However, the works of good old William has been worked on by everyone and their mother in my culture and it was simple and known to begin with.

Uhud, was retalation from a previous battel with forces from Mecca, agression was already started. In Badr Muhammad was LEADING A RAID, when he was ambushed. Think about it, you had 27 choices. the history books also mention how muslim were oppressed in mecca for 10 year before all of that, forced out of their properties, some of them killed and tortured (Ammer's family for instance). Muhhamed (pbuh) himself was targetd for assasination before he fled to madina.
