@yynie actually the bible was written even later than that. King James wrote the bible in the 13th or 14th century. And he did it without the original scriptures. He essentially wrote the bible on copies of copies of translations of copies, word of mouth, and things he though should be in there. What you are referring to is the earliest account of Jesus which was written by the roman Josephus, who as you said wrote about him at least 60 (probably more) years after jesus died.

Any Bible scholar could tell you without batting an eye that the Ten C are part of Christ's character, and have always been in effect from the beginning of time itself. They never had to be written down until sin entered our world. If you read the 10 C you will notice they are laws of love. He says "If you love Me, keep My Commandments" John 14:15. Common sense tells us not to steal, lie, kill, cheat . . . Anybody who loves God will find these easy to keep.

I find it interesting amongst the myriad of friends I have, that the ones who demand equal rights are ok with abortion. Even the ones that push for human rights, agree with abortion. Just to clear something up...Rick is a pastor who openly accepts the attendance of homosexuals in the church he teaches at. The church is near L.A. which has a substantially concentrated population of homosexuals. I'm sure he has had hundredsss of homosexuals he's met as his church. @yynie actually the bible was written even later than that. King James wrote the bible in the 13th or 14th century. And he did it without the original scriptures. He essentially wrote the bible on copies of copies of translations of copies, word of mouth, and things he though should be in there. What you are referring to is the earliest account of Jesus which was written by the roman Josephus, who as you said wrote about him at least 60 (probably more) years after jesus died.

All in all, homosexuality has a total of about three mentions in the Bible. And notice how Jesus never saids anything negative about it, ever. He really doesn't think of it as a major issue.

The New Covenant is what we keep now (the Ten Commandments) and forevermore will it be kept. All things which would be forbidden regardless of if the sex was homosexual or heterosexual. At that point in time, as well, most cultures had a ban on exclusive homosexuality because of it's effect on a then fragile population.

Any Bible scholar could tell you without batting an eye that the Ten C are part of Christ's character, and have always been in effect from the beginning of time itself. They never had to be written down until sin entered our world. If you read the 10 C you will notice they are laws of love. He says "If you love Me, keep My Commandments" John 14:15. Common sense tells us not to steal, lie, kill, cheat . . . Anybody who loves God will find these easy to keep.

I find it interesting amongst the myriad of friends I have, that the ones who demand equal rights are ok with abortion. Even the ones that push for human rights, agree with abortion. Is murder less of a sin than homosexuality? Are lying, cheating, stealing, fornicating, etc looked upon in the least degree of acceptance in God's eyes? This is why none of us are any better than anyone else. We all need a savior, we all desperately need forgiveness. Truth is not relative.

I've had gay friends for the last 18 years of my life. One of which is my cousin, whom, when he was very young, we all said was going to grow up and come out of the closet. It was obvious. But in all complete honesty, if you want respect, don't hold pride parades, that doesn't demand respect any more that a heterosexual parade with a bunch of macho men displaying just how macho they are. It isn't natural for obvious reasons, but we are ALL sinners in God's eyes. We all need forgiveness.
