I think the 458 Italia is on par with the ZR1 even though it only has a 4.5L V8 and rated at 570 HP/400 ft-lb of torque. It's also rear mid-engine layout, which is probably why it has better power to traction to weight ratio.

The enzo is a stupid car to compair the ZR1 to in the first place. That thing sells for $2.2 million these days. It's also clearly slower then the ZR1 is every way except top speed. (there is a reason it hasn't beaten the ZR1 around nurburg.) try the 458

Also the Veyron has 987bhp and the Veyron SS has 1184bhp but the Veyron also weighs 982 pounds more the the Corvette. You say lets be real, I am the Veyron just as fast as a STOCK Z06 but a Z06 with TWICE the horsepower as a stock one will be vastly than a stock Z06 which is just as fast as the Veyron around the track.

I think the 458 Italia is on par with the ZR1 even though it only has a 4.5L V8 and rated at 570 HP/400 ft-lb of torque. It's also rear mid-engine layout, which is probably why it has better power to traction to weight ratio.

So it takes a ferrari 1million to run a 7:25 but it only takes a vette costing 111k 7:26...that is pretty fail. Not to mention I live in reality and that is not even the right time. @ftsk420 The roll cage does not improve performance. If you don't believe me go watch any other race where the ZR1 doesn't have a cage and it still beats anything. Laguna Seca or Le Mans for example. Or the motortrend supercar test.
The enzo is a stupid car to compair the ZR1 to in the first place. That thing sells for $2.2 million these days. It's also clearly slower then the ZR1 is every way except top speed. (there is a reason it hasn't beaten the ZR1 around nurburg.) try the 458

If they end up making a scuderia version of the 458 I'm sure it would be right up there and might even beat the ZR1. I don't hate any car maker. I'm a fan of any car that advances automotive progress. Be it American's making really fast cars for a low price. Japaneses making fuel efficient and very reliable cars.

it takes a teak to even see the engine of the Veryon there is no dipstick to see the oil you need to ship the rims to Germany to get the 30,000 dollar rubber mounted and balanced and that is only 70,000 dollars so 100,000 before shipping and handling no one can work on it so if it breaks down now your shipping a whole car the Callaway sledgehammer (I miss typed Hennissey)is a vet I can work on it I can buy parts anywhere if anything breaks you just buy a better part from an aftermarket

Also the Veyron has 987bhp and the Veyron SS has 1184bhp but the Veyron also weighs 982 pounds more the the Corvette. You say lets be real, I am the Veyron just as fast as a STOCK Z06 but a Z06 with TWICE the horsepower as a stock one will be vastly than a stock Z06 which is just as fast as the Veyron around the track.

@1981rocketman1981 No I'm positive its twin supercharged and its 1300hp on PUMP gas. Also so what if it isnt stock the Veyron is 2.5mill the Lingenfelter still only is 175k. Its alot cheaper and faster.

And stop trying to tell me that more hp will make it go round corners faster! Its also a little sad to compare one vet that is tuned up to its absolute max to every veyron! They are not in the same league by a long mile! Like I said before absolutely love both cars, but lets be real...

@1981rocketman1981 It the upgrades don't make it corner faster but the vete is faster in the corners already and the veyron is faster in a straight line but when you make the vette faster in a straight line and its already faster in the corners it makes it alot faster.

@1981rocketman1981 Well if the Vette is slower in a straight line and has longer breaking distances than Veyron and has the same lap time than its obvious that it corners better. Also I wouldn't feel inadequate if a Veyron pulled up next to me. People that feel inadequate about a certain car someone drives needs to grow up.

There are plenty of lap times on diffident tracks out there where veyron is faster and plenty where vet is faster! Different drivers different conditions etc! Only lap time that I see done by same driver on same track was on British Top Gear show and the veyron is almost 5seconds faster!...

@1981rocketman1981 a C5 vet called the sledgehammer By Hennissey did 254.76MPH 20 years ago with about 800Hp you don't think a lighter C6 with over a thousand is going to do better LOL not only did the hammer go that fast I bet it could get to speed faster the Veryon is a PIG as heavy as My van

@sirlonghair Funny thing is I never once said I dislike Vets!!! Thing is though Its like comparing apples to oranges when comparing to Veyron! I mean come on really! So it cost more for Veyron who gives a crap! If you can buy one you can pay the bills to keep one running. No stock vet can do what a veyron can like it or not. And not even close on fixtures and finish. That being said not many cares can do what vet dose for so little money comparer to other sports cars. Both good both different.

@whothaplaya a veyron is alot heaver plus cant use as much power as the stock z06 on most parts of the nurburgring so actually in a 1000 vs 1000 i recon the veyron would have it bcoz the z06 would become more uncontrolable then it was as a stock car (: just saying my opinion xXD

@fstylezkrNNN I don't think so anything you can do to a little engine can be done to an American V8 yes maybe a modded civic can beat a stock viper but NO civic is going to beat a heavily modded viper and just because a car has a huge top speed don't make it quick a stock ZR-1 makes 200MPH some 20 seconds quicker than a stock gt-R this is because of weight a Veryon is as heavy as My van this p800 might be something for a stock ZR-1 to fear but who drives a stock vet

JUN auto 300zx had 1000 bhp and did 262 mph at bonneville in 1991 with lisence plate and all. Lingenfelter are tuning Gods of vettes FYI. They have done it also.
