@dalotel FFR Cobras are far from primitive. They're the most advanced racing chassis designs produced in a while. High horse power with an independant rear suspention and sticky tires will cause wheel hop. FFR recommends the 3 link suspention for exactly that reason. Due to their extremely light weight, reports of fuel mileage are very favorable as well. Since it's a kit, if your donor car has abs and traction control, so can your Cobra. It's the builder's choice.
@dalotel Calm down. Choosing the wrong set up for the application isnt primative, it's just an error on the part of the builder. Why do you consider independant suspension primitive since ZR-1's also have it? I guess the auto adjusting shocks over come that? . To build, you need to read some. Simply checking a page before lashing out will keep the egg off your face. Yeah, I read. Then I build. Then I drive. Or is this just a chance to announce to the world that you own a ZR-1?
@jhamilton07 Does it sting I have a better car? I deleted my comments because I'm not here to listen to your nonsense or reply to any of it. Go build your junk, have a nice day. I'm going for a ride instead.
@dalotel judging by the fact that you have zero videos on your page I would guess that commenting is exactly the reason you are here. I have no doubt you have what you claim you have but only because you exactly fit the profile of every Vette owner I've ever met. I've built, worked on and driven over 5,000 cars during my tenure of doing it professionally. Corvettes don't impress me, so I wouldn't call it better. I'll take my primitive junk over your plastic Barbie car any day. Had a nice ride.
I suppose some of you would never do a burn out with one of these and just choose to cruise the mall parking lot with it. Even Carroll himself enjoyed doing burnouts with his.
when a V8 revs up...Well..I get wood...and have for a long time...since I was a kid..In fact If I ever get to the point of needed Viagra..I will build a massive V8 and put it on a stand...and crank it up daily and my problem will be gone!
Maybe it's the type of pavement...I also have a Cobra like yours, but with a 501ci bigblock that puts 550 hp to the wheels. I run Nitto 555r's. Oh, nice looking car. I thought maybe you had BFG's or somrthing.
@tabcobra They are $200 each Mickey Thompson ET DRAG tires. They are special for racing and can only last around two thousand miles of driving around on the street. (without doing burnouts like that)
@rogerver they are designed to achieve optimal traction under low tire pressure and preheat conditions. its cool that you drive like a jackass and all, but you havent done anything very impressive in this video. in fact im a little happy seeing that wheel hop ALL the way through first gear, brings back memories of fastnthefurious era civics and eclipses all over town
Its easier with super tall gears... Which I imagine are in this car seeing that demo.. Understand itsa bad ride now, but thats how Mr. McQueen laid down a stripe in Bullet.. Super ultra mega tall high hears....
i'm pretty sure most people who own a true cobra wouldn't be doing this. Who cares if its a kit. Most have the same performance if not better and they are affordable.
@MrCstricklin after 45 years there'd be something wrong if the kit didn't handle better, but i get your point, its still the same car and it gives the same emotions as an original ;)
@dirtshower250 Dude, i gotta tell you, that a true factory 427 AC Shelby Cobra, only has 4 gears, so I'd have to call bullshit on that one, unless its a kitcar, but thats still nowhere near a true Shelby Cobra.
@mikee8100 even real men cant handle 1 of these beasts bill cosby gave it back to carroll shelby as it was toooo much power for him and the next owner of the rare twin paxton superchargerd 427 cobra crashed it . even Mr shelby himself was a bit afraid of the beast he made for bill cosby
Greetings..again! I just purchased my COBRA from Back Draft Racing. 427 Roush Fuel Injected engine. Stay tuned for upcoming videos ...

Better watch that wheel hop. Stay away from drag radials. Either street tires or slicks or youll grenade that rear.

Bersaggynuts 9 months ago
@Bersaggynuts Easier with short gears you mean. Tall gears take more power to break the tires loose.
devilselbow 9 months ago
He did that with a 408 windsor small block. Think what it would do with a big block built up to the same degree.
topdog25608 9 months ago
to do stuff like that or even drive it around you need a well made kit car the originals need to be stored away too much money and history
