  • 2 alarm?

  • Sem poklicni gasilec v sloveniji. Če bi mi takole nesposobno gasili samo enkrat kot so tele fantje, bi že zdavnaj izgubili službe. Žal

  • LOOL they take the mick all you hear is proceed and then the guy holding the hose trying to keep control

  • I cant believe a Red Helmet allowed an unmasked, no helmet nozzleman that close to that fire.. oy..

  • Um, has anyone else realized that's ASBESTOS SIDING on that house??

Omg, you're fucked if you breathed that, bro :(

  • for future advice the guy on the spraying the hose line should have his helmet on at all times around the fire scene just in case something were to collapse or some things of that nature

  • there not aiming at the fire there aiming at the walls to cool the fire down

  • we have had scenarios like this before all you have to do is wait until it comes on

  • These guys win the "Make do with what ya' got category".

  • they burnt the hell out of that house

  • Did these guys forget to tap a Hydrant when they got on scene or was the engineer not monitoring the water pressure

  • @Cand0002

they were on tank water & the first hydrant was dead...so they had a long leadout. if you really watch this video, these 2 firefighters i think did an amazing job, that house was fully involved before i got there, and only those 2 almost knocked the entire fire down with the water from the tank...The City of Gary is not Beverly Hills,CA they have a tough budget & almost every structure is vacant, very old & dry rotted.

  • @7089540230 this happens in the uk but we use portable pumps we had a fire like this one took 60 firefighters and 10 pumps

  • Preasure ? you want preasure ?........YOU Can't handle preasure

  • i love watching gary in action there awesome. and this movies is hillarious in a good way. you never know what can happen at a fire scene like this one with no pressure. NO PRESURE!!!! eH WHAT HAPPEN TO THE PRESURE HAHAHAHAHA GREAT VIDS GUYS

  • lol "damn its fuckin hot" "yes, it is, fuckin hot"

  • water? what's that? let it burn itself out and save the trouble..

  • ummm..what happened to the pressure and no helmet, SCBA, dude needs to hit the range to learn to shoot his hose better

  • @bryanNJ45 umm... that's over 60 psi of water, it take minimum 2 people to handle

  • How did it catch on fire if it was vacant and no one was there to accidentally start it?

  • @TheWaynelds Usually if it's vacant and on fire it's arson.

  • @JRFF18E thats stupid. whats the point of burning an empty house down? Just this sunday morning, i got woken up by firetrucks blaring down the street, responding to a vacant 2 story apartment building fire right across the street from me. the house next to it had caught fire 2 months before this, but its fixed up already. I just dont get why people do this dumb shit. Its inconsiderate & it runs the risk of fire spreading to other houses. some People are just dumb and dont give a ufk bout others

  • I dont even know where to start with this video, where are the airpacks? fire your pump operator and Cap' tell your nozzleman the stream goes inside the window.

  • this is the crazy they need new firefughters that know what they are doing, no packs no helment and a engineer that cant get water from the truck to the nozzel same same same.

  • Firefighters need to move more faster!

    Bobby

    Fleener Web Host

  • the fire was hiding XP

  • Can job

  • id be finding a new engineer lol

  • we got pressure now....lol

  • Aint nothin like Crack Oak....LOL

  • Vacant full involved, why not set up the stick?

  • Duce 1/2 ?

  • Blue tip driver/pumper?

  • damn wtf hahah need to bitch out the guy pumping the truck letttn ya run out of water thats bs and btw its called tankers you need them and a dump tank

  • Comment removed

  • Hey you think they need some pressure?

  • Wow! They went from no pressure to holys%$t!!!!

  • Laurel and Hardy

  • i need pressure

  • Wow Black Fire Fighters! I guess when a city is 80% Black there is going to be Black people in every profession. Around here it's mostly rednecks.

  • should have let it burn rid the neighborhood of a abondoned eyesore and crackhouse thats why they need to burn half of detroit down.

  • hey why isnt the lead man on the hose wearing a helmet, if nfpa sees this on youtube and sees that violation, they could get seriously fined

  • @58huber58 Umm. I'm pretty sure NFPA couldn't do anything to that guy.

  • @ndvfdff33 nfpa is merely guidelines, some stupid, like governing fire engines to 60 mph

  • can you say larry curly and moe???

  • @93CFD

    lol great comment

  • i wish i was the hose handler

  • nice job gus that shit can be so frustrating

  • Note to self: Never live in Gary.

  • 1:51 we got pressure now.... lol

  • Summary of this video: EY WER LOSIN PRESSURE

    PRESSURE

    WE GOT PRESSURE

    EY WER LOSIN PRESSURE

  • another crackhouse up in flames

  • Nice job in a damn tough city! Gary firefighters routinely fight many fires in vacant structures.. some of which homeless people reside in.

  • holy shit the hose almost got away from em. very impressive, great job guys

  • y didn't he put his helmet back on?! im just asking, it is a legit question, im just an explorer so don't critisize my question

  • wow fucking pressure? yahoos

  • some joker was standing on the hose!

  • lol lots of air

  • worst FF's ever !

  • @motherhodo Fuck you, GFD is the best

  • um wth is he doin?

  • why are they loosing pressure XD thats funny

  • should have been the firefighter getting a lashing for not using his radio to call the engineer, and the other guy for not wearing his helmet, and no one with scba on

  • Loving the pressure in those hoses. They make light work of fire.

  • Cowboy's

  • where do i apply.. i will show you how to read and fight fire.. properly.. with proper ppe and an agressive attack

  • those are some ghetto firefighters.. thumbs up if you agree

  • @station74fire

I disagree...These Guys totally bust there asses and have alot of structure fires

Gary,Indiana has limited resources & funding...these 2 actually almost had the fire knocked down with the tank water in the engine & the house was well involved...sure everyone is saying where is the scba & safety quarterbacking the shit out of them...they get the job done with what equipment & working hydrants they have

  • @7089540230 so ur saying that with fema grants they were not able to buy proper breathing apparatus? "its hot" says quite a bit.. if you had on a mask you would not of felt it as much... im not quarter backing.. ive been there and done that

  • @station74fire LOL DID ANY OF YOU NOTICE THE WET POT PLANTS HA HA HA

  • @steelcross07 I was gonna say the same thing

  • this shit is to funny i have to laugh my ass of at those two guys

  • Wow I just dont know what to say after seeing this video. I like the SCBA on the front bumper of the engine. They are however most effective when worn on ones back.

  • @callen757

it was placed there from the guy that was wearing it after they went interior & knocked the fire down...it was used

  • HAben die überhaupt Grundausbildung???

  • some body needs some training

  • If i was ever on scene at a fire and didnt have matual aid and i lost water I would be highly pissed off. it is unacceptable to lose water at any fire.

  • Woodhouses,

I am happy that most houses here are made of stone. It takes a lot of time until they burn completely down.

  • Great job? Even if the mayor is a "cocksucker", these guys did terrible. I'm speechless.

  • @blackxout86 Yeah, your speechless because you're choking on Rudy's dick

  • The dude did a pretty good job washing the siding HaHa. they need to get more people on the line or turn it down a little. And these guys are idiots at 3:10 overhauling without SCBA. They're doing pretty much everything you are taught NOT to do in training.

  • @MrDesperado91 training and the real fires are completely different

  • Are they too cheap to buy the guy a helmet?

  • sounds like either truck problems or MPO problems

  • I take it they are understaffed?

  • @MudSlingerXJ

Um...Yea Surprised the Mayor is not making them Melt Snow to make Water to Save Money on the "Water Costs"

Mayor is a Cocksucker that is Putting lives in Danger

  • @7089540230 thats why i like where i live the fire departments a vollunteer and we have a large supply of water via the lakes and rivers

  • @7089540230 If i was ever on scene at a fire and didnt have matual aid and i lost water I would be highly pissed off. it is unacceptable to lose water at any fire.

  • @MudSlingerXJ sour hydrant

  • ushually need the wet stuff to put out the red stuff

  • Shut up i`m a fire fighter and that truck water goes two hunderd galons every minet and there is oll five hunderd in one truck

  • @Skateboarder847 Your spelling is terrible.

  • all i have to say is wow

  • The officer drops the line, and the pipeman opens up and loses his helmet...we got pressure!

  • More pressure xD 5*

  • hey training is a wonderful thing to do.. and if you dont have the guys to handle a 2 1/2 hose then dont use it, use 1 3/4

  • @beranek57

these 2 f/f'sknocked down that entire house that was fully involved with just the tank water in the engine....they did a great job knocking it down!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Not to bash gary fire department but training needs to be done all troughout the department from enginers to firefighters I've watched a number of videos from this department and there is alot of unsafe operations on fire grounds. If they are training all I can say is if you train like s%&t you fight fire like s%&t. To all out there train as hard as you can and you will be better on the real thing. Lata and be safe.

  • somthing like that was so close my house

  • This is why insurance costs so much, morons on the hose....this coulda been out alooooot faster.

  • agreed that thing could have gone alot better but the video shows fire already coming out of every exit, its not the nozzlemans fault, maybe the home owner did something stupid like cleaning lighters with gasoline

  • Who is the pump operator we would have had some words.

  • It looks to me like there was some problem with water supply. Not with the hoseman to those who are giveing them a hard time. No pressure then to much pressure.

  • looks like the dude on the hoseline needed alittle more training lol

  • MAYOR OF GARY!....Give this men the gear they need to do their jobs safely!

  • they say screw it and grab a two and a half to kill it

  • Did they use foam? Would this fire be an ideal situation to use foam? When I say foam I mean a -1% to 3%+ mix with water.

  • No foam...That Stuff Costs Money which this Dept Does not Have at all,Because the Mayor is a Big Cocksucker!

  • AMEN!!!!!!!

Gary's Ferrara's have 30 gallon foam tanks, but they can't afford foam because the mayor is a fucking ass hole and dosent care if anything in gary burns. Gary needs money for many things. Fuck he mayor!

  • PRESHER

  • It's spelled pressure.

  • wtf.....communication.....please.....exterior vs interior...shooting water at eachother...loosing pressure....no packs...no helmet.....no radios....wtf...im speechless

  • This is good job here! How many companies respond on a full box in gary ? 3 engines,2 trucks,1 fast truck,1heavy rescue, chief, and division chief in buffalo new york.

  • seriously..??? That was fucking horrible

  • @e14212

    truck,2 engines,chief & ambulance

  • watch at 2:49. they have inside attack and the outside guys were shooting around and in window. ever hear of crossing streams?

  • 1.50 priceless comedy routine laurel and hardy would have been proud of

  • 2:15 i would not want to be interior with that

  • Never got to shoot the 2-1/2 or 3 but waiting!

  • that mpo would have caught a beating. wtf with the water?

  • nice job when you finally got pressure lol

  • No shit man, luckily there was no entrapment!

  • good thing you didn't go interior with all the pressure issues you guys had ! did you only have the one engine on scene ?

  • Actually at about 4:30 you have E891 and E4 on scene. And good point!!

  • ok i guess it was the air in the ldh i saw. right at the 2 min mark, it wasnt just water. my bad.

  • dangggggggggg that would be embarassing.

  • embarrasing is the last thing i would be thinking

  • i wood of through water ballons filled wit gssoline at the house l0l

  • @keon191 I think what you were trying to say was " I would have thrown water balloons filled with gasoline at the house "

  • @callen757 lol took someone a year to reply to my comment xD

  • Comment removed

  • some kid is putting a kink in the hose lol

  • Chin Straps , they work. hummm look real tough with your helmet on the ground.

  • Comment removed

  • i would have lets that bitch burn

  • somone needs to go back to basics

  • wow ur other video i made it to the 2nd minute and stoped watching it u trying to get somone killed

  • i will bet you a case of cold bud, the mpo was fartin around with cafs. nice to have a compressor, but you gots to know what you're doing

  • We don't have CAFS in Gary.

  • what is cafs?

  • compressed air foam system

  • oh ok thanks

  • it's better to have these problems outside than doing an interior agressive attack. I don't think that was the engineer's fault probably the pump

  • I bet that engineer got a verbal lashing after this. Nothing makes a FF feel more helpless than standing in front of a fire with no water. Still, a pretty good knock-down after the water-supply issue was resolved.

  • fuck you the engineer probably had nothing and i mean nothing to do with it it was probably the pump

  • Whoa, calm down there friend! Why the profanity, and who are you trying to defend? I certainly hope you don't conduct yourself like this on the fireground. Truth is, we'll probably never know what exactly happened, but when I'm working the pipe and don't get water, that's who I go to for a little Q & A session first.

  • i dont but what im saying is dont just go blaming the engineer out of no where

  • It was the pump. 20 year wore out seagrave. Back in service now

  • @nmcarpenter

it was more than likely mechanical problem, not engineer

  • @7089540230 nobody ever takes hose kinks into account do they?

  • Looks like it was an 1 3/4" pre-connect.

  • No bro that is a 2 1/2 inch no inch and 3/4 is going to knock a big guy around like that. the pressure problem was most likely the pump, but i would have asked the driver before accusing him, like some ppl are doing.

  • It was the pump. We put the rig out of service after this fire. Pump just got rebuilt.

  • holy-terrorist:> *=* owned *=*

  • wow any one know how to train? and whats with the booster line?

  • these guys did fine. No need to risk guys with an interior attack for a vacant house.

only problem was they guy at the pump. if these guys had been inside... somebody would be getting a swift kick in the ass.

  • That is one of the smartest thing I have heard on you tube yet! you must be a Captain or of some control to see that there is no reason to risk life for a vacant house. Nice work!

  • I think this is much more a driver issue than I hose handling issue. First they loose pressure because they drained the tank before the driver hooked up to they hydrant then the driver finally connected to the hydrant so they guys on the nozzle got the hydrant + pump pressure. You can tell from the stream quality that the line is over-pressurized. Then they loose pressure again, I would guess because the driver got back to the panel and turned the pump down to much.

  • idk i think they need a lil more training with fire safty b/c you shouldn't fight fire without all PPE and a lil more hose handling

  • Just wondering if some of those guy had hose handling training before this... lol guy almosts loses halfway into the vid. Also, wondering if they where trying to just cool the outer walls at the start or if they where trying to do some kind of an indirect attack from outside. pretty good.

  • WTF THAT WAS MY HOUSE!!!

  • yeah. the reason it was vacant

  • Major kudos to GFD. Those guys work under horrible conditions already and the city is trying to cut their funding.

I lived in that area at one time, and it breaks my heart to see how bad it is now...

  • place was probably a meth lab

  • pretty sure this was a crackhouse

  • Hey Gary: Do you guys use all smooth bore tips?

  • I see your pic and wonder why the vest but I guess if you go th Gary then that is good thing.

  • They shoulda let the rat hole burn to the ground. they woulda did the city of Gary a favor!!

  • Is a very good video

  • Very nice video, first on the scene and well worth it! GFD keeps us busy!!!!!
