Great program. I'm trying to use this with Monomulator and the AKAI APC40. What is the Prefix I need to put in monomulator. I set everything in the preferences in Ableton according to the tutorial and nothing happens in monochrome. what is the midi from setting for channel one, which has the monochrome vst? basically what is the routing for channel 1 and two? because I can't get drums from impulse to play on monochrome. please help
Sorry I don't understand the questions clearly. I suggest to use Molar and not MonoChrome, because Molar is more up-to-date and can do everything MonoChrome does (and load sounds internal if you want). You want to use Molar_40h with the APC and the prefix is /40h for the _40h build. The two channels are for _256 build because there are 256 pads but only 128 MIDI notes. on Impulse track: Be sure to turn Monitor "ON" and be sure you are choosing Molar in *both* rectangles in the MIDI From
It is designed for use the monome hardware. Some people run with monome emulators on other hardware, but with just a mouse or MIDI keyboard you probably don't have much reason to use it, especially if you have a competent host like Live.
yeh i use live ..i just like the step sequencer in ur plugin .. its abit like fruity loops.. ive tried to use it but it doesnt work .. doesnt send midi .. i shift click on a pad to hi light it .. but when i press play no midi is sent
you need to route the MIDI on the dest. track ( for both "input type" and also "monochrome" on the input channel field) and monitor or record enable on this dest track.
have you got the download link pls?

do you need a monome to use this?

I can't understand why you would use this without a monome or similar controller.
