  • beautiful

  • Amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • io la devo fare x i concorsi k faro a maggio.....è veramente stupenda

  • its very difficult to play

  • The images and the music are very well suited for others.Despite all pleas to the contrary, I suspect Claude would have been pleased that his piece would evoke such images in our minds. I am wondering where these were shot at. Very nice presentation in general.

  • beautiful pics to match the music. Very well crafted!

  • hey, shoulden't there be a pedal somewhere?? it dosen't sound like it does....

  • What a wonderful arrangment you did with this video!

  • @swedentracknfield Thank you :)

  • i feel like flying now

  • oh my gosh. im trying to learn this right now and its HARD! how long did it take you to be able to play it this well. right now im at the part where the eigths and triplets go together, and it seems impossible! you are amazing!

  • I want to learn how to play piano... UU

  • @777dnangel Haha, it's not too late, yet. But if you want to learn this piece, you probably should have practice on a regular basis for five years at least :)

  • @PhillipPark90 Haha, yeah it relaxed them after I walk them! Works every time too!

  • I think this was played too slow compared to the ones that I've heard before.

But hey, for all I know, they might be playing too fast :)

  • @iBab0 Hey, they are playing to fast.

  • @iBab0 Thats the nice thing about Debussy's music, once you get the mechanics down you can interpret the piece however you want

  • Great interpretation :) and is it just me or did you play a wrong note in the right hand in like the third to last bar? It might just be me being weird though, lol.

  • @Narriz Do you have the Deuxième Arabesque?

  • @Zirocket8 Don't have time to make a recording of it at the moment, but I might do that later.

  • I love this. I can play this piece, by heart even, but it could never compare to the way you played this. I admire you, how long have you been playing?

  • question: is this the right speed? my tutor is on vacation her advise was to check youtube lol. i have a NYSSMA solo coming up i need the right speed.

  • @hotstuffwatcher This should be "right enough" speed. lol. I mean if it sounds right to you then it is.

  • @hotstuffwatcher Bro, its all about your interpretation of the song and judgement, one person may play the song really fast and another person may play the song really slow and expressive, neither are wrong....thats the beautiful thing about music is you can express yourself in anyway you want

  • @hotstuffwatcher to be honest it actually seems a little slow, but music isn't supposed to be mathematically timed down to the nearest millisecond, its supposed to be felt, which personally i find a lot easier too :)

  • I always listen to yours on youtube <3 i wish i had the mp3 as well, but i'm stuck with a feeling-less crappy thing some famous pianodude played meh.

  • thanks for the upload, is this you playing? it sounds really good(: i'm thinking of maybe possibly playing this for the region music competition next year... (:

  • Beautiful...

  • so unmistakeable

  • How can someone dislike this??

  • @lucretia16 because they don't enjoy this type of music, seems pretty obvious to me

  • @fitzay32 rhetorical question

  • @lucretia16 the question you posed earlier cannot have possibly been a rhetorical question as i (as you can plainly see) answered it. therefore it can be assumed that in answering the question it is no longer a rhetorical question

  • @lucretia16 ^ Coz its crap. I prefer 90's pop

  • @lucretia16 Maybe it wasn't a someone ....maybe is was a chihuahua

  • @lucretia16 I accidently disliked this :s Shame on me! Btw I loved this so much!

  • Yeah, I'm currently teaching this piece (and learning it myself at the same time) and it is something you have to take your time with. The triplets over 1/8 notes are hard to get used to if you haven't done it before, but it is worth learning since that kind of polyrhythm is in a lot of other works (Brahms Rhapsody #2 in G minor is where I first had to learn to do that). Thanks to the pianist for playing this piece without getting frantic or too showy. Very nice performance.

  • I absolutely love this piece. It's very beautiful. This piece really gives me a vivid picture of flowing water :]

  • My dogs love this song.

  • @RetroZombieee I am glad to hear that :D

  • Beautiful. You combine my two passions - piano and photography.

  • no.1 Clair de Lune no. 2 Deux Arabesque no. 3 Reverie

    Very nicely performed btw :)

  • How do you learn to play songs? is it by sheets or by ear?

  • @Liine5250 for me its much faster by sheets.. maybe if the song is simple enough then by ear.. so I do both

  • @Liine5250 If its "classical" then usually by sheets first. Then, when I have learned the notes I start practicing without them and do that as long as I'm satisfied with the result. I think you can't get very far if you play with notes the whole time. It's like they will limit your music.

  • @Narriz

I don't play piano but this, this is true.

    for all arts

I think a mixture of in the moment and blue print works best

it's like those graffiti murals; the best are drawn out and drafted ahead of time

but completely on the spot with the painting :)

  • @Narriz Very true in deed. I play modern rythmical music, and i tend to just listen, interpret and peform it my way after that. I certainly dont mind if people take music, and makes it their own. If you put your OWN emotions into the piece you are playing, it will always be good. Provided you have some technique, and something you want to SAY with the music. Emotions are the key to music. Not note-sheets

  • i started learning this song today, heared it in the drama series Orange Days

    beautiful

  • Deux Arabesque

  • Beautiful!

  • It´s a very beatiful song, i remember when I was learning this song and take me six months.

  • another debussy exists, don't forget ;-)

  • very hard

  • That was beauiful. Thankyou.

  • Beautiful, sensitive playing. Thank you.

  • @shanavalli - Yes, you're right, this is the first arabesque which was given the tempo marking "Andantino con moto" (swift and moving.) Paired with its sister, "Allegretto scherzando" (lively dance) there are then "Two (~Deux) Arabesques." The creator of the video made a small typo by leaving off the final 's', and in doing so nixed the plural.

To say "the second arabesque" in French, one would say "la deuxieme arabesque," not "la deux arabesque." Hope this helps a bit :)

  • i thought this was arabesque no.1 ?? here it says deux and isnt deux no.2 in french? someone pls explain i'm confused!

  • Here's the deal: i just heard this about an hr ago at an airport, like "how nice does this sound?" And i'm not even that knowledgeable of classical music. i was like "i bet this is Debussy".

    Why?

Because the first classical song i ever fell in love with was "Claire De Lune", some time later then i came across a song called "Romance", which was also beautiful. After hearing just TWO songs, i felt like i knew his style. Sure enough, i search, and bam, i find I'M RIGHT. :)

    What a great pianist

  • what beautiful peace luv it.

  • If im right,, Alicia Keys took the first little part of this piece and used it in her single 'Love is like the sea'... Both brilliant pieces of music :).

  • I'm praticing this, but i can't sync left and right hand XD

    Awesome upload

  • Beautiful.. Thanks for the upload.

I want to learn this piece by ear. Mostly in E maj w/ some pentatonics right?

  • @marshallman83 If I remember correctly, yes

  • @marshallman83 just go to ismlp.org......

  • @marshallman83 yeah, i'm learning this right now. it's in e major.

  • @marshallman83

    Whole tones bro

  • This is really the best rendition of this piece I have ever heard.

  • I love this piece; tears started to form in my eyes and soon as it began...so beautiful!

  • @lemurianchick I know!! It is just...Breathtaking!

  • Lovely. I think the tempo was nice and not "too pushed" as some tend to rush it too much I think. Thank you for sharing.

  • You play very well! How long did it take you before you were able to play this? I would love to learn to paly. I think, to play this song would be the high point of my learning :D Btw... does narriz mean nose? Lol

  • @TomClarkFilms no it doesnt mean nose :d. It took many years before I was able to play this lol :D. Learning the piece took like 3 months or so. Wouldnt take that long if I did it now but that time I wasnt yet practicing properly..

Anyway its up to each individual how long something takes to learn.. someone might just play it the same day and for some other it might take couple of years..

If u want to play it then just start doing it :d (practicing)

  • @Narriz I will definitely do so. I hope I can suprise my lady with awesome piano skills!!! i thinking I'm going to learn the basics on my own and then piano lessons to keep me on the right track afterward. and btw nariz is nose in spanish lol not naRRiz

  • @Narriz Aweshum dude!! Im 11. Ive been playing almost 2 years now and im FINALLY learning it!!! Im learning both. I just got done with Fur Elise. hahaha. So far Im done with the first page of the first movement of thiss. Ur an awesome player dude so much better than me!!! im jealous!!! :D

  • @Narriz how old are you? because i'm fifteen (i've been playing since i was 8) and i've been working on this for about a month, and i've only done the first two pages.

and it's very difficult for me.

  • @S8rChik13 when I recorded this I was already like 22 so don't you worry :D. Just keep practicing it's a very nice piece. You should try other debussy too, or Erik Satie maybe?

  • @S8rChik13 I agree with Narriz. I've been playing for 12 years, I've had this piece for about a week, and I've just got the first 3 lines down. Just take your time.

  • @AirsoftLife I mean thats still pretty good to have tht much down it a week this is definitely a piece you have to take your time and be satisfied with the hact tht you wont have perfect really fast, and it takes a while and you'll probably be playing it slow for a while but once you learn it, is beautiful

  • @S8rChik13 I'm 12 and i find it hard too >.< (playing since i was in kind XD) I JUST STARTED THE SONG :-(

  • This as lovely as you are :)

  • ...love the pictures...

  • I did not like the beginning of the piece. I felt it was a bit choppy.

The play is not "fully implemented", and you're missing a lot of twang that characterizes Debussy. the piece is also missing empathy.

    but nice played...

  • Great job !!

  • what a tune!

  • you should alternate between showing these pictures and showing your playing. it would be nice to see you play :)

  • or if you dont like to let people see you, you could just show your fingers

  • beautiful one of my favourite pieces of piano music

  • immortal beauty..claude didn't waste his talent..lucky he wasn't a woman back then.......

  • this is you playing?! omg its amazing!!

i wish i could create such an atmosphere playing :)

  • I'm playing this now on the Piano :):)

    Very Pretty!!

  • one of the best interpretations imo. ;)

  • meravigliosa, dolce, passionale, mai scontata...bellissimo..ma il mio brano preferito rimane clair de lune

  • amazing! This is a gorgeous interpretation

  • wow i'm not so good at playing that... beautiful :)

  • sooo beautiful my god

  • les arabesque sont mal nommees elle aurrait du s appeller la fraicheur primtaniere c est beau, de la musique de fainiant, c est beau le charme discret du rafinement de son epoque

  • freaking. beautiful.

  • debussy did a amazing job on this.

i love debussy's clair de lune too.

    its a tie

  • it's a very romantic piano piece

  • I can't believe I never thought to look this up before...it's one of my absolute favorite piano pieces. Simply gorgeous!

  • Very nice interpretation, and i really like the pictures! A fun song to play.

  • Yes, that is exactly what i was thinking, so familiar scenes :)

  • were are these pictures taken?

  • some are from free galleries on the internet but most of them are from Finland

  • Wow... I love Dubussy and this song is one of his best.

  • Can't believe I've never reacted to this video before, for I've must have listened to it a thousand times so far! It's so beautiful, especially in the way it builds up, and, and and!

    very well done!

  • this is the best piano version I've ever heard... the others are too fast I think...

  • well thank you! :D

  • i prefer his choral works.....trois chancoines is absolutely stunning. but regardless, he is a master composer.

  • Beautiful and relaxing!

  • Claude Debussy's compositions shouldn't be called Impressionistic. They are, well unique, and are a one-of-a-kind type.

  • Yeah. As I recall, Debussy hated the term "impressionist". He preferred the name "late-romantic" to his works.

However, I'll always consider him an impressionist.

  • Beautiful melody! C'est-à-dire magnifique!

  • great piece :)

    nice job

  • i love Debussy's pieces.

this probably sounds really wierd coming from me, but i love to listen to his music when i'm mellow

  • i happen to love this song and whoever is playing is playing it too choppy. where it changes into A major, it is tempo rubato. that (in a nutshell) pretty much means play it like your daydreaming. other than that u could work on dynamics, but it is only ok. keep working though

  • His music is full of light, and longing, and hope. It's pitty that I love dark more. Watever, it's beautiful. ;) Love Debussy.

  • Sorry GlitterChocolate, I absolutely disagree- this is beautifully balanced playing IMHO, a real pleasure to listen to. Congratulations!

  • I hope that one day I can learn how to play the piano =)

  • in my opinion, some parts were way to rushed, you kind of overdone it in certain parts, but other than that, well done!

  • beautiful.

  • Beautifully played. Thank you for the upload.

  • beautiful. the images fit perfecetly with the mood of the piece. so dreamy. i love debussy

  • luv this composer!!!! and nice work with the video too!

  • Debussy's my favorite composer. His music is just very colorful and paints the most wonderful images. -sighs dreamily-

  • Well said =) Exactly why he is also my all-time favourite....<3...

  • First time i've ever heard this song, i love it!

    beautiful playing

this song plants nice images in my head of summer, dancing, oceans, and love. :) very nice

  • 0key... i don't speak English...

Sorry ,lol, but your piece is beautiful.

but... for me no perfect (Y)

    don't worry, 5 stars ^^

  • your performance is great, i just loved the way you played it, because most of the people play this faster, and when you play it like that, you loose some of the beautiful acords, actually you loose a lot of beautiful parts that is really a pity for this composition. greetings from croatia

  • Meggie m m.....i like the point you make;

playing or rushing this music makes us lose the flavor of this beautiful music.

The voices in the chords, the overtones or harmonics ......we want to savor the beauty in Saties music!

I too am a big fan of Satie's music.

    This Narriz sounds good.

    Hello from the 'Burgh!

  • it's a really nice video

the music is obviously magnificent and the pics are just amazing!

  • This rounded off the day perfectly

    Many thanks

  • Beautiful, thank you!

  • thank you for sharing this heartfilling and inspiring music and landscapes!

  • Thank you for your nice comment! :D
