great video man, btw, like wen driving on sand, you let air out of the tires so it then gives you a bigger surfice area so you dont sink in, do you have soft tires for the same effect or is rock solid tyires better? also, your winch video, could you please tell me how to make a winch for a 1/14th scale truck as i need one for my tamiya truck and you seem very handy.
@giantfoottruck I had not see this comment first ! now I understand better the other one! ;0) Thanks for your appreciation! BTW, I made a quick tour on your account, and saw your vids on your pet fish: impressive!
@7inchs2hi Don't be sorry! It's good to be Australian! And even if you do not like this licence plate, at least you noticed I meant to talk about your beautiful country! :0) Never mind, as it is an unreal plate, for an unreal crawler built by an unreal human being!
@tymanfj40 Hello! Good for you! Hope you'll have fun mounting the body. Concerning the spare tire, I monted it fixed, not swinging out. Did not bring any value for me to do so. Plus the fact that being in the rear, that spare tire is subject to being hit by the rough terrain (rock steps, narrow down & ups, etc), so it requires strong fixation. Swinger not recommended in my mind. Good luck!
@djbis Not RTR. Body comes from a japanese toy I bought on ebay, no more available on the market. Chassis is a mix of AX10 scorpion and home made parts. Cheers.
@tymanfj40 Well I have an extra Scorpion AX10 Chassis + Radio+boddy and ready to run (just missing the battery) . I bought iot for my son, but he absolutelly never used it. So I am selling it cheaper than retail price. This chassis is a rock crawling phenomenon, I have it used on my FJ40 as well. If you are interrested... let me know.
Beautiful. I owned a real FJ40 RHD for a few years in England, loved it even thought the floorboards were rusted through and had wood planks in their place. What a great build up.
@tymanfj40 You need to be carefull about the scale. I am not sure you need a 1/16 FJ boddy for your traxxas. Scale correlation might not work. The best for you is to measure the distance between axles of your traxxas, and see whether you can use the Tamiya FJ by measuring axles distance. Cheers.
Bought the body in Japan (they don't sell nor do them anymore). Home made chassis on a AXIAL AX10 base, bought in US. See my other vids, they show more details.
Thank you for your appreciation! The rims that my friend has put on his blue toyota come from the original toy we bought in Japan. We kept only the body out of the toy, because the chassis and the wheels were not realistic (except the rims that my friend glued on the wheels used in this video).
Where can i find a bodyshell? I have contacted the tamiyaclub member that owned them but he has not anymore shells...please help me to find one for me. :(
Hello, the boddy comes a toy from japan. (they don't do it anymore). The chassis is home made lateral stiffeners using AX10 scorpion Axial. All the rest is hand made.
Hello there, thanks for the warm feedback. I did not answer to your question right away because I did not understand it! I talked to my friend Philde nice, and he told me he answered to your question. So you are all set! ;-)
Well thank you very much for your encouragements. I am still working on my Toy, ie currently doing a rook rack, then I'll start a high-lift jack. I'll do some more vids in the future.
Thank you very much! I appreciate your feedback. I watched your latest vid and it looks so realistic! I enjoyed th environment, the color shift and the music as well! I assume the truck in the background is a true one, right?
Really great job on the 1st video my friend.!! :O) Your truck looks beautiful and so scale. Your friends blue ones is great as well. I love the driver! good job and I like the ending when you both drive off These things take a lot of work and time :O)
No, it's just scale. Super class crawlers like mine are 1/8 scale and they have 7 inch or better tires. Your wheels in tires look like 1.9s to me...... If they are 2.2's then it's 10th scale.
