  • German Shepherds is amazing! <3

My great gandmother have one and the dog, Sita, watching her.

I am glad that Sita are there for her because she not feels so lonely.

  • A properly bred German Shepherd should be aloof with strangers but not aggressive without cause.

  • Are german shepherds aggressive towards strangers and are they aggressive towards people on the streets when u take them for walks?

  • @ImASmosher1 my germna shepherd is very provite over me and thats a good thing

  • @ImASmosher1 a properly socailized GSD wont be agrressive towards people on streets but it will still be cautious of them because they think of themselves a protecters and will protect you. socialize is key

  • @Allstarweekend9224 oh ok thank you :)

  • no dog is better then a german shepherd

  • they are cute as pupys but as adult they are mega huge

  • those can't be all the same dogs! on one icture his face is black, then brown, then black again, and sometimes he is taller and then smaller. what the hell?!

  • Well it isn't all the same dog. When. I made this video I never knew how many people would view it. It is my dog but in the video I also included my dogs ancestors..ie father, grandfather, etc. These would be known to US and the people that know his line so I never thought to put names on them when I did the clip. So most of it is the same dog, but you are right, my dogs lineage is also in the clip!@missdogirl

  • @redrockgsd Oh, ok, sorry :D Beautiful dogs!

  • @rendton You sound like the kind of person the world needs more of. I hope things work out. Let me know if you ever need help reaching your goal. I'm sure your older person friends appreciate it.

  • Comment removed

  • Goood Doog!

  • @rendton Shepherds are extremely intelligent and they learn and they "think" I have no doubt what you say is true. Where do you live?

  • are they hard to take care of ?? if you go to the park will they bark at other people .. to the point where you cant throw a ball ...??

  • @hohohee1 well...that depends. Shepherds are extremely intelligent and require time and commitment and training. As far as care, they are pretty easy. Brushing, bath every other month. No special trimming or coat care and such.

  • @lauren2eat2alot Thanks!

  • @regelemufasa stfu and gtfo

  • no it means his ears are still dovellipinf

  • i have a German Shepherd about to be 5 months and his ears are still floppy are they broken or is he retarded

  • @kelsobreeder I sent you a private messege

  • When do their ears begin to stand?

  • @fhslax I've had em stand as young as 3 weeks up to 5 months

  • Accomplishments? I guess I was expecting to see something like real working, which they are originally bred for. Like Schutzhund, obedience, agility. I love German Shepherds, and have one..though gotta say I'm a fan of the German working lines.

  • @HeartdogGSD Hi, well he does have a CD, Dual CH, Herding title, Temperament Tested...no Sch. There's nothing in my area for that. But yes, my dogs have titles on both ends.

  • He's beautiful!

  • @MissTeamJacob96 Thank you!

  • SO HANDSOME!!!!

  • i have a german sheperd and this german sheperd is great!

    love it

  • Like 6thteach, our baby, our sweet girl of 10 years passed away from Cancer in Nov 2009. My heart broke and I could not see ever being able to have another GSD because I loved her so. In August we will be picking up our new GSD. I realized that a heart has a hole for the ones we lost and it also has alot more for the ones we will love in the future.

  • beutifull breed

  • @LEO71000 Yes it is!

  • What a Handsome Dog! German Shepherds are great!

  • @Spikerox27 I agree!

  • German Shephers are one of the greatest dogs you can have. I had one and it lived for 15 years. It was extremely loyal, and very smart. It's also very obidient. I would recommend a Shepherd for a dog ^.^

  • Gorgeous. Our friend of 7 years passed away Jan. 7 from cancer and our hearts are still broken. Loyal, obedient, intelligent-no breed surpasses the German Shepherd. We didn't lock our door for the whole 7 years we had him. Vowed to never get another due to the pain of losing but as I type this my new sweetheart Gaborik (shepherd pup) is gazing up into my eyes.

  • Everytime I loose one, I think how can I do this?....But, I do it for all the shared love and good times. I think our breed is dying too young and I look for longevity in the line as a breeding consideration. Do you have pics of your new sweet heart?

  • I used to know a Shepherd named Rex who lived to be sixteen. His owner was heartbroken when he died- and since he was a older man over sixty by then he never got another Shepherd. He wasn't even MY dog but I miss him so much. His owner let him run around freely at his auto shop and IF he did run away he always came back. He was a sweetheart :(. RIP Rex :(

  • I really want to get a German shepherd but my older cat wouldn't like it but when she dies I want one :) I think there the most loyal and obedient of dogs very cute too plus a brilliant guard dog

  • They are very loyal and devoted to family and what is theirs

  • haha cute

  • What a gorgeous dog!!! You must be proud.

My GSD is 15 months old and 85 pounds. The family just adores him. GSDs are amazing creatures.

  • Yes they are! They can do it all!

  • my german shepherd grew into his ears like when he was 6 lol they were so big they were like Dumbo the elaphant when he was a puppy. I miss my dog being a puppy...they were the best years

  • Yes, they grow up too fast

  • Let me pull ur cheeks :)

  • That's funny!

  • nice video..as many of them have already said but he is really handsome..I had a german shephard too..she was 14 yrs.. very graceful...right now i have a cocker spaniel and she is totally mad :)

  • glad to see he grew into his ears...kinda like a 13 year old boy grows into his feet lol

  • 0:50 absolutely handsome GSD

  • Thank you!

  • Very nice. Why don't you also show the age at each stage?

  • This video was actually the first video I ever made and my first you tube experience. If I could do it again..or figure out how to edit this one, I will put the ages, plus some of the dogs in the video are his sire, grandsire, and great grandsire, and some people had assumed it was ALL him and that I switched out the dog...so, while it made sense to me and those that know him, I never knew I'd have over 50 thousand people looking at him!

  • @redrockgsd In a way, I am glad you didn't know upfront for your first time that there'd be 50K+ users watching your video..you may not have turned out such a masterpiece which came up so naturally!

  • sire?

  • I am not sure if you are asking who his sire is or what sire means. But sire means the father. Samson's sire is Guardian's Zechariah

  • ah, i didnt know what it meant :)

  • Oh good! Yup.sire means father and dam means the mother. :-)

  • very nice video, gorgeous dog, from the cute teddy bear looking puppy to the typical akward adolescent gs to the majestic prize winner hes become, youre very lucky, enjoy him!!

  • Thank you! I wish video could capture his character on video

  • Thank you! I do!

  • dethyrhfg

  • that's a very kind dog

  • What a handsome fellow he is!

  • Thanks!

  • Why did they want to harm your dog? There's got to be a special place in hell for anyone who would harm such a majestic beast.

  • hey nice vid, my GSD is at about 0:24, i love him a lot but he can be a handful sometimes. i have a question for you though, is it natural for the puppys to want to bite everything? It concerns me, as i dont know if he wants to play or if he is serious.

  • it is definitely normal for the young puppy to want to introduce his teeth to everything he meets. HOWEVER, you want to get on top of this behaviour from day one. I used to pat mine and when he would go to bite just say "Ah - ah" in a very loud, harsh tone. They hate that and get the idea very fast. By 12 weeks he had stopped biting people. Playful biting from 8-20 weeks is pretty normal, what you dont want is a dog that snaps or nips at people, continually practice taking his food off of him...

  • yeah im guessing they do...somebody told me they luv to bite and chew...how old is your gsd ? im getting one soon i cant wait !...hes gonna be 8 weeks old

  • well now he is 4 months and he has knocked it off for the most part.

  • knocked what off ?

  • the biting and chewing of things other than chew toys

  • ah lol....any tips i can get before i get my gsd in a few weeks ?

  • get chew toys and be ready to devote lots of time to play with him and discipline him, like if he tries to use the bathroom in the house or something, the more often you are around watching him, the better you can teach him.

  • yeah...im getting him on the 27th..ive got exams to until then im revising and saving money :D....im gonna get all the things kennel chains bowls toys etc the day before:)

  • good. get him all the toys and treats and things such as that before you buy him, and he will be a great puppy :)

  • ive got a feeling hes gonna be biigg !....his mum and dad were up to a small cars door handle...to be more precise a vaxhaull corsa 03...

  • The best thing about German Shepherds is how they look like bear cubs when they are little.

  • German Shepherds Rule!

  • Those are some pretty big ears!!

  • your a nob and a bastard, get a life.

  • german shephards are amazing dogs, we have 2 right now and we are planning to get another one we are either thinking of a german shephard or a minture doxtion but we dont know which

  • Wow...from German Shepherd to Min Dashund...that's quite a difference!

  • There are 4 varities of German Shepard in existence today: a) American Show lines, b) German Show Lines, c) German Working lines and D) East German or former DDR or Checkoslovakian working lines. The Shiloh shepard is not a true German Shepard, and neigther is the white German Shepard.

  • my neighbor has a vicious pit bull mix and it got loose one night and tried to attack me, thor, being the good dog he was protected me from it after breaking his chain, my neighbor hated him and threatened to kill him and recently he somehow got loose and i believe my neighbor did something to him.:(. he was the greatest dog i have ever had, he was 100+ pounds of golden tan love and protection.

  • oh my god I am so sorry for that! But how exactly did he die if you think your neighbour killed him? I seriously dont know what I'd do to someone that killed my dog...

  • I'd buy a mallet. Anyone who kills an animal intentionally is a demon. If its a sacrifice thats another story and its usually yours too, but doing it for hate, and disliking a certain dog or cat and its not yours, and not calling even an animal control company to do it for you, is psycho. In my family it always was. Animal abuse of any kind is pure evil. If someone hurt or killed one of my pets even if it were an ant, I would knock them out.

  • Ok I wouldn't knock someone out with a mallet if he'd kill one of my ants. But I certainly know what you mean. Animals are pure and innocent, lead by instincts. Killing them because of hate is a true sin, (though I am not religious in any way). Bastards that kill dogs should fuckin go to hell!

  • if i was you...id get revenge....seriously..that sounds very bad...and i know how much people love there dogs..im sorry to hear about ur dog

  • what do you think he/she did?

  • i love german shepherds, they are the greatest dogs to raise with children, they are so loyal and protective and extremely smart. we purchased a half german half american german shepherd two years ago and he was the greatest dog in the world. sadly he was killed a week ago.

  • Oh my goodness...what happened?

  • your german shepherd is cute i have a german shepherd puppy he is 5 months old now

  • Do you have a picture of your boy? I bet he's wonderful too!

  • no i dont have a picture of him at the moment and yes he is wondeful and how is your dog?

  • how much are german shepherd puppies were gettin one but we need a price

  • It really depends on where you get them from. European lines usually start at $1500.00, Some of the big name kennels cost just as much. Of course you can probably find the "classified ad" quality but you run the risk of inherited problems.

  • i got a german shephered lol, he's called rex and he's 8 weeks old lol.

why would you want a house guard ? lol get a alarm lol. joking,

oh and my names anita lol

  • Handsome specimen. Just curious, tho, with German Shep being show-quality, do they also guard house??

  • they guard better than anything that is why the united states police departments k9 units are german sheppards, because they are extremely intellegent and are great for security.

  • Wold Hybrids do NOT make good pets OR protectors. And to get one purely for that reason alone is selfish.

Wolf hybrids are normally shy/backwards animals that prove to be rather independant from their owners.

    Its a scientific proven fact.

Plus, I wouldnt be bragging too much about your "wolf" murdering people. When/if he ever does, YOU'LL be paying big time for harboring a dangerous animal.

NOTE: Wolves or Wolf hybrids arent allowed in most states.

    I wouldnt advise getting one.

  • Wolf hybrids make great pets if they are trained correctly, i own one whose mid content timber wolf/Husky and hes a total sweetheart. Not all are shy, mine is as outgoing as anything and so is my friends, i've never had any trouble with mine and my friend has had hers for 6 years now. they are great pets if they get the exercise and if they are trained correctly.

  • av got a german shepherd puppy shes 7 months old and shes bigger than her mum ! They grow massive , my dog will bark at any1 who comes near me haha :P. luv ur lil doggie

  • gorgeouse!!!!! lovely dogs they are!=D

  • Your German Shepherd is very beautiful :) I think German Shepherds are the most beautiful dogs ever.

  • Who would have thought that the awkward pup at 35sec would grow to be the beautiful champion that we see at 45sec! Gorgeous dog!

  • I have a German shepherd mix she is so playful she loves to play and run. she is protective in her own way.

  • Very beautiful.

  • They are truly the most handsome of all dogs. Steadfastly loyal and good pals.

  • Iv'e Got a pure german shepherd XD

  • Lol my germin shepher isn't even really a shepher he has 1 quorter sherpherd and 3 wolf. and hes all black..!! hes only 5 weeks I Luff HIM!!

  • Cool! Do you have any pictures of yours?

  • hes perfect in color his ears both of my males have a ear that doesnt stand up straight...i personally think its cute but my dad doesnt like it he says they're not true shepherds again that dog is beautiful

  • Thanks! I have a female shepherd that has a lazy ear. How old are yours? Usually extra calcium and socialization does th trick.

  • one is just over three and one just turned one is that too old?

  • he is really picky with some foods too he wont eat any dried foods. Your dog is really beautiful.

  • Ok...picky dogs are a problem! If you want....go to my website, then go to links. From there go to the dog food links. Click on the Sojourner Farms Banner. This is a REALLY easy way to feed your dog a fresh diet. You add water and meat. That's it.

  • is it bad for the dog if he grows too quick>? because my dog is really giant for his age he is 8 months now check out my video, where he was 7 months when it was taken

  • Yes it is bad if the dog grows too quick. Look out for "Pano" sometimes called wandering lameness. It is when the dog suddenly starts limping for no reason and seems to move from leg to leg. It is caused by growing too fast. There are other problems too such as hip displaysa. You want a food that promotes slow steady growth as oppossed to spurts. What are you feeding?

  • the past few months my dad has been feeding the dog because ive been really busy with school, i think my dad has been feeding him a lot of meat like chicken cages. but ive seen my dogs father, its really big too.

  • gotta luv the GSD, so cute as pups and such luv as an adult.

  • I agree 100%. The breed with no limits!
