@TheStarwarssuperfan Not quite. I think it's more the Docotor's psychic link to the TARDS that allows itto transmit his translation.  Watch David Tennant's first episode (The Christmas Invasion). For most of that episode the Doctor is unconcious. The companions and TARDIS (with Doctor in it) get transported to the Sicorax ship, and no one can understand each other. Then the Doc wakes up, and suddenly we can all understand the Sicorax.
