  • Can you go back to the other worlds after you beat this?

  • You..are..a..WIZARD!

  • ..... This is how the real Samus would beat MetalRidley and escape :D

  • That one room after the place leading to Mecha Ridley and the Save Room and the Power bombs?

You could have used a Power Bomb to make a shortcut.

Also, is it possible to get the Varia Suit before the High Jump Boots without Tool Assistance?

  • @TheEndlessWarlock Yes you can get the Varia suit without the high jumps....I tend to do it as soon as i get morphball/bombs and after some well placed bomb jumping later, Varia Suit acquired. (although I'll admit its a pain to do in real time, and not being careful can get ya killed quick in the acid, but its gotten easy now.)

  • I realized that he skipped Crocomire!but thats amazing!

  • @RedBatNicholas

Crocomire isnt in this game. Thats Super Metroid,

  • sos un capo amigo un maestro en esos video juegos

  • u made every single boss look easy lol

  • saves are optionals? ò-ò you're totally a genious xD

  • Also, I never thought you could Shinespark RIGHT through to the tunnel. Cleverly executed.

  • Damn bunny-hopping Samus Aran...^_^;

  • must be fun as hell to play when you can overpower anything -_- cheating sucks.

  • @OMGBleeps

    TAS means Tool Assisted Speedrun.

There's no real hacks or cheats going on, just running the game slower for better reflex moves and using save-states to record progress. These are not cheats.

If you wanted a real-time run, you watched the wrong playlist.

  • you sir just beat life. also u skipped the first boss lolz i wish i knew how to do that lolz

  • @Kriole Weird, you get the worst ending picture with that time... ? There must be something wrong. But I guess things like that happen when it is not played the normal way, at the end it is just a TAS. The video would look a whole different played on the real hardware, right? (^_^) Nevertheless nice video.

  • @severintw that's bebause he did it on easy, and on easy, this is the only picture, even if you get a monster time

  • Christ, Samus had enough time to stop at the alien McDonalds on her way to the escape ship!

  • Excellent run, Kriole. How long do you take to reherse before you actually record the runs? What was the most difficult part of the run do you think? I usually have trouble w/ Mecha Ridley, hitting his weak-spot is so finicky. What's your best time w/o TAS and what's your best w/ TAS on Hard?

  • wow hermano te la rifas pero quisiera verte que lo acabaras en dificil

pero aun asi fue lo acabaste muy rapido te la rifas yeah!!!!

  • I love the whole thing. Now try Hard and I'll show all of these videos to my friend who runs an online guide for every Metroid game.

  • You're honest to tell us it's a TAS, but it's still very impressive.

I've just finished my very first play of Metroid Zero Mission; I did it in 15 hours, 100% items, normal mode. Of course, I died several times, had a lot of pain to perform these tricky Shine-Sparking sequences to reach some items, and super-bombed every inch of the map to find secret areas and items.

I really enjoyed that game, just like any of the Metroid series. Can't wait for the "next mission".

  • After finishing the game, I wanted to see how an hardcore player makes his way in a 100% speed run.

Well... Even if I'm an experienced Metroid player, after viewing your performance, I feel like I play while wearing boxing gloves!

    Really impressive! Bravo!

  • @DaringDramis i think you should play metroid fusion (if you haven't already) its another great metroid game :)

  • @stidukka

I've just finished it a few days ago! I've never spent money for these Game Boy consoles in the past, considering that biggest conoiles were already a bit expensive. Today, I can play these games for free, and it's great!

About Metrois Fusion.I feel a bit cold about how we are enfroced to a predefined path, but it doesn't spoil the experience too much. Great graphics, music, and gameplay, just as Nintendo can do it.

  • @DaringDramis IMO metroid fusion is the most intense 2D metroid out there :)

  • @DaringDramis by free you mean download?

  • I don't even feel like playing this game anymore WTFH........

  • the speedrun was impressive.

  • is he going to make it!!!!!

  • IS there a 9% TAS?

  • fucking amazing!!!!!!!

  • Wait did you ever fight Imago?

  • Run Like Hell!

  • he only got hit like 4 times in the entire game.. HOW SICK IS THAT??? dude ure amazing, i bet u played this game like 50 times so you know wich route to take... congratulations man...

  • This is a Tool-Assisted Speedrun, using slowdown and savestates. This should not be compared to real-time runs.

  • awesome man, bet it took lots of work... seems it paid of though.

  • whoa that was too pro!

  • holy fuck

  • when u fought the 2 black pirates it looked like Samus was using an aimbot lol

was it 100 percent necessary shooting that box-looking thing with the missiles?

  • That was pretty sick liked the start part with the bomb jumps :D

  • That ridley kill was ridiculous. The black space pirates kill was even more ridiculous.

  • ...this is the final part?

  • i think by "final part" s/he means the ending and the credits and stuff

  • samus fighting the two black space pirates was sick

  • ONe Word

    DAMN!!!

  • hey you used easy mode, do it on hard!

  • I liked Zero mission but I dont think it compares with Fusion that game was amazing

  • i love this game its been my best friend on many car trips its funny though no matter where im going i always finish right when i get there ITS LIKE IT KNOWS!

  • when i first saw mecha ridley i was like uhh... HOW THE F**K AM I SUPPOSED TO BEAT THIS THING?!?

  • How do you do those things at 1:36 and 1:40 where Samus goes really fast?

  • do ya know how 2 put passwords on the "Original Metroid" on Zero Mission

    it's hard 4 me 2 do it

i just unlock it last nite

  • Just choose continue and put 'em in

  • you've got to hit select to go to continue, and then hit start to go the input menu.

  • Nice 58 seconds.

  • HOLY CRAP u beat metal ridley fast!! I blinked and he was dead!

  • thats ridley? i thought it was some chozo statue run amock.

  • It's a metal replica of Ridley. The Space Pirates built a robotic Ridley clone, since the actual Ridley is OOC courtesy of Samus Aran. Ridley would later be made into a cyborg and redubbed 'Meta Ridley.' This was the Ridley Samus encountered in Metroid Prime.

  • No, it's not Ridley, and it's not Meta Ridley either. It's a robotic clone of Ridley.

  • Wow, I didn't know you could use that move in morph ball

  • no duh!

  • its a game from the gameboy advance sp but on an emulator

  • ....

i don't have too much to say since i star to watch all the videos......... you are awsome and by the speed of the video it almost give me a headache

    keep it like that

  • Great for a TAS'd run.

  • Samus Aran is the universe's greatest escape artist. Harry Houdini is only number two. :P

  • oye que bien juegas metroid zero mission

it hears that well you play metroid zero mission congratulations and this impressive one

    saludos desde guatemala

  • awesome

  • oh my god man... you are sick... awsome!!!

  • Wow you made Mecha ridley look like a creampuff.

  • Bravo, you hit everything like an ace, not one missed step

  • It's because it was TAS - read the description.

  • That was a cool play through and I like the honesty that in the video description you said it should not be compared to real time runs. This helped me understand some of the tricks that the speed boost can do. I remember in SM I never had a problem with the speed boost but since there's no run button on the GBA, I always had a little trouble with those tricky boost that you have to use in order to pick up certain powerups. Like the one you have to do in Brinstar to collect the Super Missile.

  • wow, how long did it take you to kill mecha ridley without super fast speed?

  • t odio ^^

    yo me hice 66% xD

serio :| juegas re re cheere

    de Lima - Peru

    xXxvolzaxXx

  • Two words for you: "Metroid God"

You are awesome, did something so amazing in all the runs, I didn't even realize when you could carry up to 100 missiles.

    Awesome job.

  • woww

i used about one hour to watch this, when i shouldve been studying for science, but it was worth it

  • you are freaking amaing dude

  • Very well done.

Watched all TAS runs, must have took plenty practice.

  • You did it on easy? ...still, impressive.

  • oh, so thats how you get back to the other place....

  • KICK ASS JOB Kriole! Great job and a pleasure to watch your skillz man. Great job on the vid capture too.

I give it 2 thumbs up! (Screw Siskel and Ebert, i'll use it if i friggin want to!)

  • Ridiculous that Meta Ridley gets so much health for getting 100%. Ugh!

    Oh..and excellent TAS.

    TAS FTW!

  • well if u know what add and neglect is that i have it makes perfect sence that it takes me so long sorry

  • my game took 4 hours and 31 ecoonds and 43 mil secconds so accorrdoing to u my time sucks?

  • You mean 4 hours 31 minutes and 43 seconds. And yes, that time is not that shiny. However, I do not know your gaming experience whatsoever, so my opinion does not matter. Only your own does in this case.

  • @Kriole That's the best ending? I get a better one doing a blind speed run with that time. Least in that one I get to see Samus dearmored.

  • under an hour and still 100%? wow u are the master of this game ^>^

  • It might be good according to the average player, I think it sucks. If I would find a good route I would take this to maybe 40-45 minutes.

  • u think it sucks but the fast hand eyes coordination with speed booster and think like this is so amazing.. i never get to 100% cuz i never found all the items and i pass the games in like 1h45-1h50.. not very good...

  • I watched the whole thing, full 10+1 parts and they were all awesome, of which part 6 the absolute best! Congratulations.

    See you next mission.

  • some questions how do u wall jump

how did u jump in the air the lanch urself like a missle

and how did u turn into a ball and lanch urself like u were like a cannon ball

and do u have to use the vba or watever its caled to do those things... if u do then u dont have to tell me

if i knew how to it would make the game allot funner

  • Those techniques are called Shine Sparks where you charge up the speed booster and perform a super jump. No emulator or cheats required!

  • so much super missles on metal ridely

  • wow now i think the games too long and now ill never finish it =*( i hate how that works

  • omg they thought u needed 5 min u only needed 58secs

  • what's a Tool-Assisted Speedrun? i just wanna know...

new to metroid :) the only metroid game i have is Fusion

  • it means he played on whats called an emulator, not a GBA, and took advantage of fthe emulators features

  • oh...

i just wanted to know what it mean't, i already knew about emulators and roms...

  • oh, well thats wat it means

  • y the bad ending?

  • Is there a such thing as a good ending? All the endings are just pictures. It would be different if this were Prime 1 or 2.

  • yes there is such a thing, the good ending is where Samus takes off her Power Suit, but i have no idea why he got the normal ending...

  • Great and all, but it would be cool if you could put your stuff into playlists.

  • 54 minutes... just a question

:how many times did you play through this game..?

  • This is my third 100% run.

  • nice, and did you have help or you knew where everything was by heart?

  • My first actual item-run attempt was about 90%, after that I used a walk-through.

  • why did you get the ending that sucks? you got everything in a small time....maybe the game thinks you cheated or something like in the original metroid where if you'd make it up too fast up the shaft during the countdown the game won't give you a good ending regardless lol

  • Cause this TAS sucks.

  • well, that really didn't help....XD....was the emulator bad or something? was something wrong with the game? A sort of glitch?

  • Don't know, don't care.

  • Because he/she did it on easy mode.

  • dang ur fast!!!!!

  • OMFG , YOU´RE A SUPER GAMER !

  • one question its really hard to do morhp ball super dash i tyred like 30 mtimes how u do

  • Like a normal shinespark, except in morph ball form.

  • lol, i didnt know missile would push the slow-moving thing

  • woulda been funny if you missed 1 item...

Id love to know how you manage to keep your speed charged even acter you do the jump boosts.

your run really helped me in getting thoes out of the way items, plus some I would never have gotten on my own.

    A+ for you!

  • Release your charge onto a slope, it has to go from lower to higher ground, and just hold the same directional key as the slope goes. If this doesn't help just ask for clarification.

  • Its enough to lear from.

1 more question. what do you use to play with? do you use an emulator and a rom? if so what one cus the last one i had almost destroyed my computer.

  • Emulator and rom. Don't know where I got the rom, but the emulator is Visual Boy Advance Re-recording.

  • Im trying to get the super missles in brinstar, and im able to get past the center place between the 2 tall rooms in the center, but as i leave that room, i loose all my speed boost power. how do you keep the boost going?

  • Hold the same direction as the shinespark and down when you hit the slope in the center room. Then roll so that you are not raised at all by the slope and shinespark again.

  • DAMN BOY U PWNED RIDLEY!

  • Yeah, how the heck did you do that super fast missile storm!? That was amazing!

  • All the parts rock. 9000/5 stars

  • xD Cheers mate

  • how do you sustain the shinespark the way you did to get to mecha ridley? I really want to learn how.

  • You taught me a lot in this video. I never knew about the part with the speed morph ball shortcut! You could have, however, beaten that time if you didn't pay attention to the robot, unless of course it's somehow necessary to do that.

  • If you mean the yellow thingy that I spam with missiles, it has to be moved to be able to shinespark. If you mean the black space pirates in the end, they have to be killed or the gate won't open.

  • when she flashes blue with a charge while doing the spin jump.

  • that's the screw attack

  • where do you get the charge to go along with the jump?

  • I don't not really understand your question. Do you mean unleashing an charged speed booster or just jumping while speed boosting?

  • holy christ

  • Awesome dude!

  • I guess that settles it, uploading the whole run. Got the first 5 parts done (out of 10, got them as normal movie files, just gotta make them AVI's), just gonna process them through windows movie maker, since they are about 3-6 GB big, YouTube doesn't accept that.
