You are not safe anywhere. I worked at a five star restaurant for years and they are a little more clean, but not one hundred percent. The chef would use his finger to taste a sauce, then use that same finger to taste another sauce, then something else...without cleaning in between. The actual cooks were more clean and sanitary than the chef. So were the servers!
