Filey is what I call my spiritual home. I had many many happy holidays as a child in my grandparents caravan at the Country Park and have kept coming back year after year and now my own child loves Filey as much as I do.
A walk along the beach onto the coble landing and along the front. Up Cargate hill into town and onto Dicky Bees for some fish and chips....bliss.
We came here on Saturday and had a wonderful time and will return soon.
love the comment about the shop that sells military stuff - - how does he make a profit!! I always go in there whenever i visit too. I miss the t-shirt shops on the front when you could get transfers of all the 80's bands onto your t-shirts for about 3 quid, still go in corrigans when i can even though its changed names. Walking around the cemetary at st oswalds is very educational - polish pilots, nuns, anglo-saxons and local fisherman- a missed treasure; u should all visit...
great memories, but could have showed a bit more of the town like the promenade, coble landing and the beautiful buildings on the sea front and the lifeboat etc...meant in a positive way. look forward to your next video
Nice job. Filey is fantastic and instantly recognisable without the need for close ups of local idiosyncrasies like the coble landing and that weird place opposite the Vinery that sells all the nazi gear etc. Mind you, I could pop in there for an SS outfit next time I want to make a Screamer.
ya could have at least filmed things recognisable to filey, like the vinery, cargate hill, corrigans, the fish shops, the town, the sea front, life boat, brigg end, instead of close ups of boats, sand, birds and steps which could have been in any seaside town, I love Filey.
It was just something i filmed while i was seeing my grandparents, it wasnt suppose to be anything grand. But if I ever get round to it il do a revised version of it next time im on filey.
thats just it. most screamers are just like this then suddenly the girl of the ring pops up screaming but to my suprise this video did not have that hense my comment "needs more screamer"

I think the most magic part of Filey is Filey Brigg at low tide.
