  • I think MBW is Banksy's alter-ego personified, coming to life. Conspiracy theory? Maybe. Possible? Absolutely

  • I love this. I love Banksy <3

  • 0:59 - 1:09

    In before the lock.

  • Who is the guy with the top hatted tag, and the x for the left eye?

  • i love Banksy. I love MBW. I love this movie. Love. Capital L O V E.

  • where can i find this online?

  • "The life and death of street art," should have been the blurb for this! MBW epitomizes the modern American ethos of capitalizing on someone else's work. As Banksy pointed out, artists spend years honing their style and this one guy just absorbs it all and ends up making it meaningless. People who love MBW's work don't realize it's art regurgitated into a product. His work is gift shop material. Marketing. He's a con artist. In retrospect, the blurb should be "The life and death of class."

  • 5/5 !!!

  • This is by far the most interesting art documentary I have ever seen. I was infinitely grateful to have been introduced to the incredible medium of street art by it.

  • Haven't you guys ever noticed that Banksy and MBW are essentially the exact same...? You're just conditioned on which one to like.

  • Hey, I have a Art essay coming up and I choose Banksy as my artist. I need five pages... Any good web site or articles y'all know of that i can get good information about him.....

    Thanks

  • King Robbo will always live in the shadow of banksy

  • Banksy is the King!

  • 3:08 that´s fucking crazy

  • what is that song at the beginning called?

  • @rurablubla "The streets are our's" by Richard Hawley

  • love this documentary, genius

  • Painters tape portrait of clint eastwood

  • take a look at my pic an my drawings

  • wraht sing is ?

  • Mr, Brainwash is such a copy of Bansky. smh, Bansky is the real deal.

  • Mr. Brainwash does not exist , Banksy made it all.

  • 99% of Team Robbo fans only know of him because of a tv documentary! Artists like Da Vinci, Van Gogh and Michelangelo caused excitement and controversy through the use of art 100s of years ago. Banksy is one them, except he has been born into these crazy modern times.

  • It's incredible how most of you are missing the message of this film. And the intriguing part whether it is real or not. Is it Banksy's ART message? Is it a REAL story that just happened to have a message? or is it BOTH?

  • I hope Mr. Brainwash is in debt for the morgages he took out and loans needed for tha ridiculous show.

  • Brainwash is a SELL OUT.

  • i dont know but think mr. brain wash's art looked like shit, but thats just me

  • team robbo allday banksy's a fake who copies others work

  • for those who have watched the entire movie at the end banksy says that he will never help another person to make a documentary ( Mr brain wash )... but you gotta look at the other side.. mbw actually saved banksy from being revealed in Disneyland.and he would watch his back when he was making his art. although with this i think that mbw is just annoying and banksy is a legend.

  • So0o0o good~!

  • 2:30

  • JON WILSON GIFT PRINCE O SHAN GIFT VACUUM CLEANER BLACK PENIS SINK

  • whats the song when banksy's work comes in at 4:09???

  • @ttolson11 The Creators - Kronkite

  • Does nobody else find it a bit sad that we've immortalised in legend somebody who, lets face it, draws cartoons on walls, is incredibly pretentious, and thinks he's the only one who realises how fucked up the world is. Seriously, how stuck up is that? We all know the world is a shit place, get over it.

  • @SuperQweertyuiop Sound a bitter there, mate. At least Banksy is using art as a medium to express his discontent. Most of us just go along with the shit in this world like gutless cowards.

  • @cayetanoluis I can sum up banksy in two words - Pretentious Hipster. That's the main problem I have with him. I have nothing against using art as a medium to express ones self - Picasso's Guernica showing the tragedies of war is brilliant, but in no way pretentious or assumptive. Banksy is just the scribblings of a hipster who thinks he's bigger than the rest of us.

  • @SuperQweertyuiop 'Banksy is just the scribblings of a hipster who thinks he's bigger than the rest of us.'

I'd like to know where and when he implied that he thinks he's better than the rest of us. I think that perhaps you're just projecting your own prejudices against graffiti and using them as the basis for attempted mind-reading.

  • @cayetanoluis I have nothing against graffiti - I found it very entertaining to do with my friends when I was in High School. But then I grew up.

  • @SuperQweertyuiop who says you cant be grown up and still do graffiti?

  • @SuperQweertyuiop this is not your run of the mill graffiti you and yer boys did. banksys is art that serves a purpose. protest and thought provoking as art should be. there's more to life than lining your pockets.

  • lol I taught BANKsy everything he knows. Ask him yourself!

  • LMFAO when I saw Noel Gallagher I couldn't stop laughing, for some reason he reminded me of Karl Pilkington with hair.

  • paranoid pictures very clever

  • respect banksy

  • Its Not a really documentary ....

Its a Big faked Story setup by banksy and Friends to critizise "Artists" like Mr.Brainwash.

Seems like 90% of the People here don't get that.

  • Seeking for fallowers......dirty delinquents.

  • 3:09 DAMN!

  • awesome!!!!!

  • Banksy is a hero>>> i really mean it

  • movie is awesome.

  • U skiped around

  • it's funny how they almost never pronounce the name "Thierry" correctly...."Terry"? who's that?

  • thumbs up if you whched the movie more than five times

  • Awesome!!!

  • OASIS 2:05 EPIC MOVIE

  • Best documentary ever

  • Song?

  • so Be ready to jump to the world full of pleasure

  • such an inspiration for my tagging

  • Was that Pedro Almodovar?

  • people who dont know shit about graffiti, shouldnt comment on this movie and shouldnt criticise, ur opinions just dont fit in this culture!!

  • @Kints93 The fucking point of the film is to talk about the phenomenon and create a catalyst for more people to talk about it.

  • I love Banksy and Space Invader but I hate Mr. Brainwash, i just find him annoying.

  • @GC13girl I think he's a fictional character created by Banksy to portray what a lot of modern art had become. All about the money.

  • @GC13girl you don't hate MB. you just think you're supposed to say that because thats how banksy and some other artists feel

  • song at 2:47? It's awesome!!!!

  • so Made of secrets

  • 3:33 my favorite c:

  • Nevermind....found it "Richard Hawley-tonight the streets are ours"

  • What is the name of the song??????

  • whos the guy at 2:09

  • @JasonAndOwen Liam Gallagher.

  • 0:52 POSTERBOY NYC!!!

  • the only thing I don't like about this movie that the last 20min of the film was only about mr.brainwash.. kinda annoying

  • @hattaratta

Congrats, you missed the entire point of the movie.

  • this film has too be the best fillm iv ever watched the ending is great we got banksy saying he used to tell people to go make art and now he dose not do that any more lol lol lol if you have not seen it its a must watch

  • banksy the robot!

  • banksy is amazing.

  • like if you think banksy must visit mexico, a cute drawing would do.. c'mon we got all inspiration you need: more than 40,000 death ppl over a recent drug war years of corruption,, human and drugs trafficking.. starving children, property and disaster.. silence, fear all over the country.. beautifull and rich land turned into hell its alll about the politics!! ''/

  • Mr Brainwash is a laughable artist.

  • i only came for the intro

  • this is a work of art .

  • Who's the artist at 00:53 doing the billboard?

  • if anyone has any cool info on banksy i would totally appreciate it, i'm doing an essay on him and would love some feedback if you have anything to share

  • I love how Thierry goes completely insane when he is preparing his exposition... He suddenly looks and behaves like a totally crazy artis. Best part of the movie is when he talks about meeting Bansky for the first. Truly must see `movie`!

  • mmh I`m good looking babe, with great sense of humor

  • which process does banksy use... Observing, Imaging, Abstracting, or Patterning

  • this is one of the best documentaries of all time

  • a brilliant and continuing hoax :)

  • fuck mr brainwash!

  • I loved this film. Thierry what a star, the way he was making his "art", very funny :D

  • 1:00 THAT'S WHY DAVID BELLE INVENTED PARKOUR FOR!

    My hero.

  • Banksy exposes the reality of issues through graffiti and the hype he has created from his work has made him huge. His documentary seems like it talks more about the history and art of doing graffiti, but where is a documentary about the issues? For instance in the documentary Programming the Nation? director Warrick discusses the history of subliminal messaging and exposes how advertisements still use it today.

    bitly .com/qWlrUr

  • It's real

  • wot i dont get is how awful banksy must feel worrying about if he ever got caught

  • So, is it real or fake, and wheres the evidence?

  • @xaxie1 its both at the same time

  • I love banksy and space invader, not so much for Mr. Brianwash.

  • TEAM ROBO

  • banksy you are one very very awesone example of real guy whit balls

  • These people are scum, destroying society.

  • @locolalo1364 ... yup, its much better to take a 9-5 job that you hate, work there for 30 years, retire, keep working part time, die alone, and look back on a subservient life with nothing left behind. I don't know why more people don't wanna fall in line and live your life.

  • @joshpool78 only idiots work their life away in jobs they hate, discover an interest and become educated, I myself am happy with my job, and make more than enough for my lifestyle... I shouldn't be surprised though since most of the people doing this shit are usually high school drop outs and retarded stoners.

  • @locolalo1364 and some of them have single pieces of art selling for half a million dollars while their warehouse exhibits sell out and gain national media exposure. Not bad for drop outs and retarded stoners.

  • @joshpool78 key word; "some" ...which in reality tend to be what? 1-5 people out of the thousands that drop out... great fucking odds to go against with /sarcasm.

  • @locolalo1364 At least they won't spend their life in a box, machine(That's symbolic, ofc) controlled and being 'happy' with the job they would kill just to keep it, cause they need it,but don't truly like it. I see you're Computer System analyst(emphasis on the anal),so don't even try to reply,I don't see how it would make sense on a video like this. Go work for your balding, pedophile boss or something, don't come here to 'enlighten' people.

  • @Totalimmortal93 great you know I'm a system analyst, make all the anal jokes you wan't I'll still be making 108k a year, while your drop out friends barely make 15k a year.

  • An artistic feat and a political statement. Banksy isn’t just creating street art but using his trade to get a message across to people. There’s a new documentary that I recently saw about the power of media. I immediately thought of Banksy after seeing the film. Programming the Nation? addressed subliminal messaging in advertising, film, and all facets of the media. I am having a hard time getting over how powerful Jeff Warrick’s message was. People need to hear about this, bitly .com/oQ0ZVk.

  • 1:00 EPIC WIN

  • Song?

  • banksys face was revealed on a channel 4 documentary?...

  • i have this movie on DVD, and i only watched it once, because i found it a bit confusing, but i love graffiti, as long as its art not tagged graffiti. i'm thinking of becoming a graffiti artist myself, i am very good at art, and i have been improving over the last 4 years or so.

I love Banksy, he is just an amazing, mysterious guy who makes awesome graffiti pieces.

  • @GC13girl banksy is a street artist. watch a documentary called infamy, graffiti wars and bomb the system.

  • @ECCY101 I know that Banksy is a street artist, i have seen his artwork, and i have the book Banksy War and Piece.

  • @GC13girl i have that book too, all im saying is check out some other things like i listed above. they're kick ass.

  • @GC13girl - Wall and Piece* - guess you haven't read it recently

  • @OTKJunior I HAVE read it, and I am inspired by Banksy's work.

  • wtf???????????????

    1:00

  • I tried to deny it and think the first one was the best but in all honesty, this was the most action packed sequel to date!! LOVED IT! go watch it on fillmsi.co.cc people!

  • I think this movie was meant as a joke on people who watch it, french guy becomes painter over night, but banksy becomes movie director over night so they are the same. people went tosee movie because of hype so they are the same like people who go to art show at the end, ithink point of zhis movie was people on the premiere of movie realise they are same stupid people like those on art show, i think it's catch22 if you praise movie more you are more of an idiot

  • what a fucking film just watched it for the 1st time and it was epic in my top 3 favs XD

  • play the new Banksy Board game TURF WARS!

  • @milon4231 hope u trollin. otherwise ur an idiot.

  • I just watched this movie. And. Wow, "Mr Brainwash" really is a unsympathetic fucking character towards the end. lol.

  • what is the name the song minute 3.46?

  • Whats a cinema? 5:09

  • What does he use to make his stencils? Just cardboard or is it massive sheets of freezer or stencil paper?

  • @THRASHERVOLUME You are retarded lol. The dude just got obsessed with stuff and when Banksy told him he should do his own art he got obsessed with it just like he did the camera...he didn't know what he was doing but he just went ahead and did it, he proves that art really isn't as serious as people think it is.

  • The Jive Bunny's son used to do this in the 90's in Toronto. LOL

  • NOEL!! :)

"why dont you go film someone else?"

  • NOEL!! :)

  • @tanialwl thanks very much :D

  • name song please on 0:03

  • @tntbomgraff Richard Hawley - Tonight The Streets Are Ours

  • banksy your a prick!!!!

  • Street art @ MOCA was the sh*t!

  • I feel bad, who's this Robbo chap everyone's talking about? everyone's either on his side or Banksy's. as someone who is impartial it all sounds rather silly, I think people should just stand back and appreciate the epic street art

  • lol @ all the people mentioning "Team Robbo" just because he was mentioned in that documentary. If you look back through the comments he was barely mentioned at all.

  • @BequaArt Atleast Banksy can walk.

  • @BequaArt Robbo sucks, he got semi-graffiti-famous from having a go at Banksy he even admit that Banksy is the reason anyone knows him. Robbo is just like any other stupid graffiti vandal. However Banksy on the other hand is a real artist and his work brings people from all over the world to see it and is protected cause its so awesome.

  • i can honestly say this is one of the best documentaries ever created, if you don't care for street art, watch this movie and you will. in fact, this movie got me into graffiti. i even started a bit myself, i am no where as near as good as these guys, but i hope one day to be able to do something similar, perhaps stencils. anyway, don't pay any attention to the people that disliked this movie or have anything bad to say about it, because chances are they didn't see it and are probably stupid.

  • Banksy is in a league of his own. He's the greatest street artist to date. FACT!

  • team robo !! this idiot destroyed his most valuable piece

  • Is there any one else that can't wait to see the top comment spelt correctly?

  • does anybody know where i can find a picture of that girl with the bullet hole in the heart behind banksy at 4:27?

  • @xxJAKEnBAKExx The full piece is called Ozone's Angel, check Google.

  • what song starts at 2:45?

  • what song starts off this video?

  • @jackie13th the streets are ours

  • However annoying it is, the spam on this page is the most creative I've ever seen :P

  • coma written in big pink letters at 0.27 - Is that a reference to King Robbo?

  • @circlecircle90 Think that only happened early this year but this video has been on youtube since April 5 2010. I could be wrong though.

  • @davidmac2007 You are right, Robbo was found unconsious on a street this year. Exit through the gift shop was created in 2010. Banksy was also nominated for an oscar for this documentary.

  • What did he do to ROBBO?

  • @DADDYDCFC disrespected him when they met in real life and painted over Robbo's last graf piece reminaing before he came out of retirement again which was about 20 years old

  • God bless this guy.

  • syndicate

  • is there any one else that can't wait to see what peaces banksy does inspired by the london riots?

  • @DieWalrossen inspired by BLEK!

  • @FatFriendly1 Everyone has to be insperated by someone....

  • @DieWalrossen depends on what Blek did after Civil Unrest in Paris...

  • @DieWalrossen haha been commenting that on a couple different videos have you ?

  • whos the artist that does the theme tune? Its very smiths, love it

  • The narator sounds loads like howard marks

  • wht is the title of the song!!!!!!
