guys, if you cut the rubber off, then yes you will have a metal bar there but with the ripstick G there is an extra metal tube over the torsion bar that rolls when you grind, so all you gotta do is buy a dipstick G torsion bar, it comes with the tube and replace your torsion bar with it.

yo ripstik g has more bearings then the caster board so it's not a ripoff

and i just got a ripstik g cheaper than the caster board and if you grind to much on the caster board without the rubber bar the hole thing will just snap off sooo i disagree with you . try to think before doing it man .

Once u grind that down it snaps in half, ripstik g has 2 layers the outer made 4 grinding.

u can easily take off the rubber thing and put it back on. just use an allen wrench and unscrew the torsion bar. unscrew the bolt to the left of the caster at 0:31. i dont recommend it though. the metal under there isnt made for grinding. the ripstik g has that metal but it also has that gold metal tube over it to protect it. besides just buy a ripstik g.

there not ass! the metal under that rubber is the real thing..they put the rubber over it to protect it!.and the g is to grind and stuff...if you grind on the metal bar under..it will brake you ass!

you dont have to cut it, dumbass. . it slides off when you take the torsion bar out. . . and by the way the grinding metal on the 'G' is not the same kind with the clssic stupid shithead. . . .and that metal on the G rolss as you grind.. decreasing tension on the bar . . . making it more sturdy than your usual torsion bar. . . . . dickfaced fart. . use your brain not your pocket. . .

There are to bolts on the back of the ripstik right next to the rubber undo one of those slide the rubber off put the other half back on and thats how to do it just it can damage ur ripstik if u grind to much on it check my ripstik vid out and see ive put a stainless steel bar there to protect it and its pretty much a ripstik g.

I tried it before.. The RipStik G is lighter and the torsion(whatever it is spelled) bar stronger. I have ordinarhy ripstik i cut this rubber stuff off and after i tried to grind and it worked but the the metal is soft so i have a lot of indents on it. And when you cut off this rubber stuff your ripstik began to squeek. And the ripstik g's torsion bar spins which eases the grind. My friend has G it is better than mine.

Yah it is kind of a ripoff you could say but the Ripstik G and DLX have bigger feet grips and wheels that are biiger and spin faster for ling manuals and hang 10's and different awesome colors.

dude seriously, why the hell do you waste your time CUTTING the rubber when you can just slide it off? UNSCREW THE BOLTS AT EITHER END! you are damaging your ripstik and now it will look really bad. : (
