I like Gordon Freeman as a character more than Master Chief. We know Master Chief kicks ass, he was trained all his life to. Gordon wasn't trained to kick ass, he wasn't even forced to fight. He just picked up a crowbar and said "FUCK THIS SHIT!". He doesn't need a suit of armor or special training. He just needs a weapon in his hand (Sometimes he doesn't even need a weapon).

@sadperkion it's great, even after about what, 8 years? using the same engine, although after Episode 3, a new engine would be a fresh look for Half life 3. Hopefully they'll do a blizzard, make it look absolutely terrific on any system, whether it be a $400 or $2000 system.

@JohnnyMacFartland I agree. I felt like episode 2 made a very different music approach when the other games had been based almost entirely on techno and episode 2 had much more of a rock theme, or whatever you would call it.

That piece of music is one of the most epic things ever. Especially since the Antlions are timed to charge you RIGHT when the music hits 0:16 and the 15 seconds before that do a great job of building up the tension of the coming 'storm'. Gotta hand it to valve for the excellent design choices there.
